- We all know that the performance of a driver isn't all about distance... but we also all want to hit the big stick as far as we can! Which is why, in this video, Joe Ferguson has taken the best performing model in each of the 2024 ranges and pit them up against each other in a three-shot shootout to see which we can accurately crown as the longest golf driver of 2024!

I love how all the Mizuno ST-G shots go right down the middle line. Even if it's only 289y. The TM tends to draw more, not sure if that counts.

I’m not interested in a few more yards one way or the other. My Ping G30 Max 10.5 reg shaft is by far the best driver I’ve ever had for length and dispersion. Last round I used it on 14 tees and missed two fairways by only a yard or two. Drives were long and straight and I’m 70. Love it.

congrats i have the G430 LST and can hit a fairway with my eyes closed might not be super long but it is long enough also have the Ventus Black shaft and its perfect
My personal longest is Gen 1 Paradym TD at 302. Ping 10K on order. I don't think it will match the Paradym but misses should be much better.
iron Byron test would be the ultimate test.
I noticed you have the under Armour drive pro shoes on. Could you do a test with those versus another pair of golf shoes.? They claim to help you hit the ball significantly farther.

Best to do is walk in to your local store try all these out and decide what’s best for you. Know one swings the same. All these guys are pros, I’m not so I only watch for fun.

Okay, if the tsr2 is constant 311/311/314 then I know that different good strikes go far! That's also with the Qi driver and maybe the paradym smoke. But the cobra is short if you a rent hitting them in the spot, also there pxg is. That's what I recognize
That's a simple question with a simple answer : the longest time driver's is the driver with the longest shaft. And that you can see with your eyes.... But also the physics says that distance/ the way to go and power makes their distance....
But you are using the same shaft with the same length of in every driver....
Would love a comparison with the virtual world vs real world for multiple golfers. How does a flight monitor outside on the course compare to actual data and course scores. We keep relying on and assuming this virtual simulation stuff is accurate. It is very very different hitting in a simulator indoors.
I kind of see what you are saying, but the data is 100% reliable. The top players in the world all utilize this technology and absolutely wouldn't do so if it wasn't accurate. You get the same readings outdoor as indoor. Thanks for watching 👍

It's up to the individual really. The ls won't be the best for all players regardless of your HCP. I've seen players with 120+ clubhead speed getting the most distance with the Max model set low. It's all relative and while this video is fun, it doesn't really mean anything. We should all get fitted before buying for optimal performance
@@Bech285 true , having had a play around with all the new drivers the qi10 ls was a real bomber but it also had very little spin. My two pals hit it miles further than me and one broke 300 yards with it and the other carried it 330 odd yards for a total over 350.

@@dandumm4319 Not the LS version. The standard model is the one I was hitting.
Yeah, it was good for me in testing, I just couldn't get the same carry as with the standard model. Seems like most guys on tour are finding the same as standard is a lot more popular...
So every year we have to outlay $700 to $800 for a new driver to gain the magic holy grail.

They maybe the longest drivers BUT THEY TOO ARE THE MOST EXPENSIVE. I LIKE THE SMOKE BUT NOT THE PRICE. IF COST WAS WAVED YES I WOULD HAVE ONE. BUT FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND PRICE MY CHOICE IS AROUND £250 8° MAVRIK SUB ZERO . COLOUR YELLOW FOR ME BUT BECAUSE ITS ORANGE AND DISTANCE IS FURTHEST I HIT THE BALL ORANGE IS FORGOTTON .
How can you do such a comparison when they all have different shafts? Can't take any true conclusions from this with such a key variable.
As I said in the intro, all the shafts are within 3 grams of one another, all X flex, and all the exact same length. Best I could do for this test. As someone who has fitted golf clubs for many years, from novices to tour pros, I can assure you that any other difference in shaft other than the three parameters mentioned there would have a negligible effect on distance. Tee height also affects this. All this proves is what Joe hits as the longest driver.

Different width of drivers (in middle / sweet slot of driver head) usually means tee height needs to be different for these to hit a center strike.

The results show how flawed this test is by doing one drive per round with each driver and not taking in consideration how far offline some of the drivers were. Titleist longest in round one with a drive 40 yards offline.
Yep, as I mention in the intro, not meant to be a 100% scientifically accurate test, "just a bit of fun" as I mention! I also said in the intro that there would be no consideration for accuracy, no grid to hit like the long drive guys, just the longest carry. Thanks for watching though 👍

Idk, but I think I’m calling BS on this video. There is no way that we can tell if he was being biased towards certain drivers and laying up on the ones he didn’t want to see at the top spots. I would rather see a robot swinging away at the same speed, same swing, same everything on each club to really tell which driver is the longest.
All the drivers from the big manafacturers are doing the same thing year after year, they are bound by laws that limit the performance and have been for years.
You're totally right, the drivers from 2017 will all perform the same as these, the manafacturers and the people selling them just need to make some noise to get us to keep buying shit we dont need

@@JoeFerguson-cd4bg I’m sure you’re a good person with good intentions hitting all of these drivers. That being said; it’s easy for someone to let themselves want their favorite drivers to be on top. It’s hard for us as people watching these videos to know for sure that you’re putting your all equally into each and everyone one of these drivers when you let it known which drivers you favored the most. That’s all I’m trying to say. It’s a great video, and I’m sure it’s all in good fun, but there are people out here watching these videos trying to make a decision to spend big money on a driver. I myself favor Callaway the most out of all the manufacturers out there, but I was impressed by the Titliest drivers too. Almost to the point where I wanted to change drivers, but I’m a Callaway guy thru and thru.
@@TheWildwoodPicker Understood. I have zero affiliation with any brand in particular, if anything I wanted the PIng to win as it's my gamer! As I said, not meant to be a full scientific study, just me smashing some drivers and seeing what came out! You're right though, can be difficult to know who to listen to sometimes. I guess the key is to find a channel/company you trust and take your recommendations from them. Hopefully that can be us! 😄
