gotta love that new hollywood view point with the lore "Order and responsibility is bad! Therefore the Titans are evil and the demons and void monsters are actually good because they embrace chaos, destruction and "Being yourself" -_-
I really dont think the sword stabbed into the ground is what caused the crystal to change. I think when the "champions" used their artifact power to stop the swords powers, specifically shadow priests using the black blade is what caused it. Zalatath could have planted the seed at that very moment. This also explains why she was okay with us using up all that artifact power to subdue the sword.

The core of the ashbringer ... strange if you think about it the sword was made from a void crystal turned to light magic only to be corrupted again and then purified again in ICC only for us players to drain it to contain the sword of sargeras 😂
Maby this can connect back to the Forgotten One in Warcraft 3 as not just a old god but THE FORGOTTEN OLD GOD. A creature worshiped by the other old gods
What if Aberrus is or was the prison of the 5th old God and Xalatha (not an old god, but a herald of one), used the Dark heart to extract the Old God's essence and infected Galakrond with it... Then millennia later, what remained of the imprisoned old god lured Neltherion down there to build Aberrus and experiment with what was left of the Old God's essence to create Shadowflame... Shadowflame might inadvertently be the blood of the Old God, and we've actually been collecting it this whole time.
The titans betrayed Azeroth to feed their endless power grab against mortals by using their understanding of these worlds/mortal life as a means of creating an endless vacuum of power for themselves. Sargeras noticed this and turned to the Burning Legion because they were the only army willing to go against the titans, mortals followed blindly because they're easily manipulated by primordial beings. You can gather this from the lore books too, I never believed Sargeras was wrong, Titans are some of the only beings capable of reincarnating and the Pantheon simply abuses mortals to do whatever they want including keeping Azeroth from awakening.
Also I don't think Sargeras was trying to destroy Azeroth with his sword, I think he was trying to free it from the titans grasp on it. Why else would we convince mortals to use its materials for weapons, they're just trying to convince them to keep from saving Azeroth from their clutches.
Maybe . its the main crystal of which the crystal used to make the Ashbringer is. For up on its discovery , it was a void/ shadow crystal , and they purified it, and became light crystal, and they forged a weapon out of it, which it could get corrupted again . and again .
They didn’t actually purify it they slammed so much light(holy) power into it it changed(a big detail because to “purify” means it was corrupt.) it’s weird for it to be known as the “corrupted” ashbringer only because it absorbed another energy and adapted to it. While light infused could slap all undead while death infused slapped the light(somewhat)
Looking at that mural, what I see is Old Ones ushering Dracthyr and Insectoids up the stairs. If I had to make a wild guess, this could be telling us where the Nerubians come from.
personally its not the sword my theory its pretty much a Cocoon(ironic that the spider people would be idolizing it) of the Last titan Azeroth the fluctuation is the forces of light and void trying to seize control of azeroth. the radiant song is azeroth calling for help. sargeras aimed to destroy it so the sword is prolly near or was aimed at it or even at the fifth supposed old god everyone keeps talking about. one very wild theory is illidan absorbs sargeras power and grows titan side and plunges the blade deeper to not destroy but open the cocoon by breaking some restraints it must have and birthing Azeroth force the void lord to finally come to our world or we to his. (I also wish xal ends up being revealed a Voidlord Dreadlord)
@@Doronsmovies The titans are literally like the government and crooked police, All corrupt and anything that doesn't fall in line with their agenda is eliminated. Thats a fact.
One hint against the primordial crystal theory. They already did that in Diablo. It was called the Worldstone. The eye of The Creator. The source of all creation. Copying something like that would completely diminish its luster and importance. "They" didn't decide to rip out the tree planted by Eonar. That was just Amanthul throwing a tantrum against Eonar "infecting" the planet with life (chaos) in opposition with his plans of complete order. That tree was a gift from Elune (she's all about balance). Elune was betting on Eonar to balance the scales. If Sargeras is simply a mad titan, like the titans keep telling us, and Amanthul is their leader (and probably the most powerful - maybe - Norganon snickering in the background), then how did Sargeras "just a titan" managed to murder all of them? Don't say Fel. He never uses Fel to fight, just to punish failures. He doesn't have a trace of green on him, ever. Only bright orange fire. Sargeras just throwing a final "fuck you" by enabling a void invasion is simply too out of character. Wouldn't it be against everything he fought for? Another hint. What color was Argus' soul when it hit the Arbiter? (why did it hit the arbiter in the first place? - don't tell me because it was too big, too powerful, infused with death magic...). Where do the souls of titans go when they are slayed? Titan Watchers? What color was the energy flowing from Sargeras' blade into the planet before we infused it with azerite? Bright crimson. Why did azerite or the power derived from it stop the flow of crimson energy? Dots-dots-dots. Trust me. It's really not that simple (I would be so disappointed if it's that simple :( no disrespect) Also, the devs have underlined multiple times that no color is ever chosen at random, ever. They have people hired to keep an eye on this shit. They are called lore historians.
We might have causality backwards here. This is going to come from out of left field...but what if the crystal didn't start changing colors because the world was stabbed, but rather the world was stabbed because the crystal started to change colors. Sargaras appears over the world, and he knows that it's his ultimate goal. He wants to pour fel juice into it to kill off the void that's there, as we know that void and fel don't mix. He is preparing to enact his ritual, and then starts getting pulled back from the world. He sees "oh fug, I'm too late. The heart is already turning to void." And then goes for a hail marry and stabs the world.

I don't know if it's some mistake, lack of attention during the development of the expansions and lore or perhaps it is intentional and the titans are in fact linked to light. Linked like some sort of product caused by the effect of the light entities that must be the counterweight of the void lords, and like fools we thought they were the representatives of the arcane cosmological force (constant retcons have eventually lead to fundamental changes in the story). If not, then there is no sense in that much golden light powers in the titan facilities around Azeroth.
