Audio signal processing in Onkyo receiver TX-NR515 with damaged DTS chip is possible switch from pure DIGITAL mode (processing in damaged DSP) to PURE ANALOG MODE (without DSP). If you have receiver after BGA rework / reflow / reballing and the DSP chip fault still repeats, you have "pure analog way". In fact you have "stereo mode with pure analog input".
You can mix all ANALOG imputs, but only to LF and RF power outputs. All other amplifiers and theier speakers power outputs are ready, but power amps are without low-power audio input signal. If some ELECTRONIC SPECIALIST modify main amplifier board, you can conver this receiver to 7ch 130W/6ohm analog amplifier with functional remote.
HDMI BD: Use = digital processing of all channels throught damaged DSP processor
HDM BD: Ignore = from analog imnputs is L + R channel switch direct to LR + LF power amplifier, other speakers are connected to power amp but amps havent low-leve signal - Наука та технологія

Thx, but now you have only 2 channels functional - is possible reconnect analog signal on main amp board to all power amp and use damaged Onkyo like "multi room" audio amp.

@@michalsedlacek4121 HELP PLEASE! My white volume rocker is unresponsive on my remote so I used the unit volume knob for this. I can get sound with AM and FM radio but no sound via any HDMI source even though I get video. I even did a factory reset pressing the CAB/SAT button then power procedure and the factory reset didn't solve the silent HDMI sources. Can anyone provide me with some assistance? It's such a nice piece of gear to be unusable. Thank you.

Thanks so much. I have a 609 and 709 which both have the HDMI audio problem. I was ready to throw them both out after trying many workarounds. I saw your video just in time and they are both working in 2ch now, with hdmi switching for the video. On the 709 I even managed to drive all channels with neo:6 or PLII. Thanks again!

Thank you! I was almost ready to give up on my HT-RC270 after trying the chip heat and solder flow a couple times with no luck. Wish I saw this a couple years ago when my other receiver went out. I really hated losing it. Just make sure you have your speakers hooked up to the zone 2 terminals before trying this. I'm ok with not having surround and hdmi because mine was for stereo only setup. Thanks again!

Dali sme aj továrenský reštart. Neviete náhodou ako sa dá vypnúť "auto standby"? Prešli sme manuál na nete, ale nič sme nenašli.

You dont need IR remote control. Only switch Onkyo to hdmi ignore mode and select analog input like FM radio or CD aux. Connect speaker only to front L and R power output. If relay click and you dont still have sound, try contact experienced electro audio eng and try connect low audio signal direct to power amp board... Maybe you have another fault like amp power source relay.

Wrong question - board is switched only to pure analog mode - analog digital controlled switches only switch analog input direct to analog power amp board - its second operation mode LOOK ON RECEIVER SCHEMATIC; so "so long" as silicone elements will be work... ;D ... btw I own one of Texas Instruments laptop from 93" and with 4MB ram is still working. This isnt reboot this is another operation mode.

This method works 100 % just did my 609 now plays via the analog cables .
Plug main speakers hold power button and br/dvd button keep holding power till hdmi ignore apears them press power to diable hdmi .
Ill advise u hv something connected to analog rca jacks either cd player or something have it playing tap on the source to cd ...
What about HDMI BD : DSPTH ?
can you connect the cellphone to the tv/CD socket using an rca Jack cable from the cellphone to the CD/tv ..socket

Will this work on onkyo tx nr809 receiver?
Will the tone control works when switching to analog mode? Is this short key working for all onkyo systems? Will this idea work on TX-SR 506..i dont have the equipment right now with me...someone pls reply.

Thank you, but it did not worked on my tx-nr414. I successfully switched it to HDMI ignore mode, and I hear third relay now, but there's still no sound. What else can be wrong with it?
Same model same thing to me, the fact is that appears in this model the analog isnt fully working because only pre amplifiers are active, infact if you rise the volume near the max you can hear from Front speakers.. bye
Hi. I can't get the 3rd relay to click. I did as shown on video. I also tried to heat the dsp circuit. Didn't help.

How to get back out of this analog button..
If you want go back to digital mode you only repeate the same steps... Described steps switch buetween two modes - digital (over DSP smached chip) or analog (analog multiplexer switches which are in front of DSP input switch anlog signal not to DPS inputd but direct to analog power amp. - so DSP is unused).

FACTORY RESET for the receiver by pressing the CAB/SAT button then pressing the power button. FACTORY RESET the remote by pressing the receiver button and home button until the red light stays lit, and then pressing the receiver button to extinguish,,,FYI.
