Good day, the claimed power from the manufacturer is on the crankshaft. The factory uses engine dyno’s which does not factor the losses of the chassis. On some loaded dyno’s transmission losses (drag from the clutch, rear wheel, length of swing arm, chain and sprockets) are calculated and removed from the power spec, this can be anything between 10-15%. So the power is on the rear wheel. If it were just a chassis dyno no load brake or rear wheel calculation it would be a crank reading and generate the power you mentioned. Also all dyno’s read slightly different numbers, some low and some high so the important part is the gain between the base run and after run which was 12hp gain. This is straight from the net for the 2017 Yamaha MT07 “The 2017 Yamaha MT-07 has a claimed maximum rear wheel horsepower of 52.1 horsepower (hp) at 8,000 rpm”. So after tune we ended up with more than claimed as it was a custom map with optimised ignition timing and fueling. Thanks for your comment.
I thought unrestricted the cp2 engine would produce closer to the 72hp that’s claimed
