Imagine if TBS released and SDK for Chiv 2 and had mapping contest like they did for Chivarly 1 which would have extended the life and excitement of the game unburdened by what has been. But sadly TBS crushed any outside efforts to create custom maps as well as player ranking, weapon stats and the like. So another disappointment from the dev team. I was lowkey about to cry watching this ;(. I absolutely love this game with all my heart. In duels, the mechanics make for such an open way of figuring out your own playstyle. It would probably make sense to say that the game comes close to a real sport in that aspect, if you get what I mean. So much openness and room to play with the mechanics and lots of creativity was a very big and underrated accomplishment from the devs, to make it as smooth and balanced as it is (imo)
I am honestly disappointed in Torn banner, Chivalry 2 is a really good game but the game is very barebones compared to Chivalry Medieval Warfare. I wish it had much more maps that is reused and reworked from previues game.
The only thing I hope they can guarentee at a minimum is that the combat and class system will remain the same. It's near flawless, completely fair with no clear exploits. The weapon balance now is also good too. Yes, there are suboptimal weapons but do be aware that those weapons exist on those classes to nerf them and keep them in roles they're best suited for whether or not you want to play them or not. For example, the system works well no matter what weapon you use on any class but their stats will determine how well you fight in a tactic you favor but what you start out with will determine how far you will play into that class. So if you're a longbowman, you will definitely have bad secondaries but your role is to fight from far away. In contrast, you fight as a officer, all your equipment will be the best of the best but you're limited in how far you strafe and can't dodge well so you have to rely on standing your ground with the gear and health pool you have. If you're not satisfied, you can pick up any weapon and still do comparably well. This game has the best balance I've seen in any multiplayer online game.

I have 249.7 hours on NMRIH, its a solid slow burner co-op zombie game. its an ode to the George A. Romero zombies. it has "Left4Dead" style maps but there are several objectives/puzzles that need to be completed before progressing forward. I like that game, and was not aware that TornBanner was assisting production of that title, so that's exciting news, I wouldn't doubt they use the melee concepts from Chiv 2 in NMRIH2
Chiv is such an interesting game. I’ve always been a diehard halo sweat - particularly halo 2 classic mainly and also halo 3. I’ve also always loved the older CoD games. FPS was basically all I ever played, minus some dirt bike games sprinkled in here and there. I happened to stumble upon chiv because the halo servers were down back in late January and my cousin happened to download it just by chance (game pass), he talked me into downloading it….and needless to say, I immediately got hooked. I’m now a level 712 haha. It’s so different from any other games out there. I’ve never played a medieval slasher online game before, so even though I’ve been playing the fuck outta it for the past 8 months or so…it still seems so new and fresh because all my life I’ve only really ever played FPS games. I’ll say this, I’ll never put anything above halo 2 or 3, but I can definitely say chiv is probably my second favorite game of all time, and that’s a pretty bold statement. I’m excited to hear that they’re gonna make chiv 3!! Looking forward to it

But i watched his videos and he about the "sweats" and the way he talked just made it seem like he was trying to punish us, for reaching a level in this game that he feels gatekept from.... I feel kind of bad for him in that way... I don't want ppl on chiv 2 to trick the public into thinking that this is is hyper skill based and hardcore, like the Dark Souls fans did with their own game.
The whole reason why we have the 3 attack feature instead of the freeform slashing in mordhau and chiv1 was because Torn Banner had every intention of making the game more accessible to casuals and less sweat to avoid wonky and silly ballerina fighting. The latter games had a high skill ceiling that only made players super sweaty and the current version is simplified to three directions of attacks (stab, slash and overhead with special attacks sprinkled in there). It still has a decent height of a skill ceiling but even casuals can eventually get past the slash slash combat and explore the other options then still perform well against other higher level players. It's definitely not as sweaty as some people make it believe when the game design went ahead to simplify it for a improvement.
Honestly I love this game but the most recent one hasn’t even been out that long and the graphics are great why not just continue support for that game?
As someone who joined halfway into the games lifetime it feels too soon. :( I wish they would fix the balance of the newer maps before they completely stopped updating.

Let them take their time. I would say Chivalry two is in an amazing spot and seems to have some good content while playing over the last three years. I love it rn
Chiv 3 wirh different eras and cultures would be nice, I had no idea Nomore room left in hell was made by TB. That game was fun. The second one has been in the works forever. I thought it was just moders releasing a game.
Just bought the game during summer sale. Then they're like "alright, we are done updating this game." To me a glaring issue with the game is when you're defending there are zero ways to reverse the offense progress... i.e. Buckets of water for fires, pushing the Ram backwards (slowly), reinforce doors/windows. but yeah man, as a brand brand new player...It worries me that the player base will decrease after this no update, update.
I cant wait for chiv3, but in order to really take it to the next level they need to embrace player mods and do a revenue sharing program for third party maps and assets. Which they absolutely won't do. But why have one expensive dev team when you can have a hundred dev teams that are in tune with what players want and are willing to work for zero upfront cost
Chivalry is on my "Conerning" Tier rn because Tornbanner Studios made Chivalry 2 worse and worse each update after Tenosia was released and that was the last good update Chiv 2 had
Possibly a fundamental redesign. Overwatch 2 pissed a lot of people off by just overwriting the original game. I would hate for that to happen to chivalry 2, if chivalry 3 ends up being shite we can just play 2 instead.
i played a bit of No More Room In Hell and its fun if you're into that type of hardcore survival stuff. never knew its by TB tho. and im sure people will keep playing Chiv 2 (cant wait for EPIC free games weekend to boost the noob count hehe) hell i still play Rising Storm 2 Vietnam and that game hasnt been updated in like 3 years or more
Really hope that they get rid of the whole class thing and do a lesser version of the token system that mordhau does. Keep the combat the same, although I wouldn’t mind taking the mordhau directional swings. No timed parry, keep it held block. And no ballerina shit.
1st. Any established played withing a certain rank as of now needs to be given all the extra skins and weapons and BS. I think rank 500 something whatever i am now i deserve a gift for being a loyal player. 2nd. DTM needs to be available forever. The objectives get old whan all i want to do is fight and kill.
How long do you think it would take for me to “accidentally” get into a match with you and stream snipe you with chickens and shit the whole time? 😂. Textbook chivalry shenanigans. Find a streamer, throw chickens and shit at him. 😂
it's been 3 years why the fuck is torn banner giving up on another chiv game, this is why mordhau shouldve been more loved it been around longer still somehow gets updates and torn banner had time to abandon another game, fuck torn banner
Hope we get Upper body movement. Chiv 2 was a jocke compered to Chiv 1 - stick fights no depth, no skill. If no upper body movement (core of the game) in chiv 3 I'm again not interested. In chiv 2 you can not do this: ua-cam.com/video/RX1H4nqJt6I/v-deo.htmlsi=_0I0wMk1M44arJvZ so hope they will make it possible again.
Is no one concerned that TB is gonna continue to not give a 💩 about making a quality product? Chivalry 2 wasnt well made when it launched, and it STILL is plagued with DAY ONE ISSUES after they stopped the content updates three years later, for fucks sake. What can possibly be exciting about Chivalry 3? Are we really just gonna to collectively give them money for nothing again? I understand this is a very negative comment, but how can i have anything positive to say about it? I think the slasher genre is doomed if we buy into their garbage again.
RIP he committed suicide. It was a travesty, especially the way Torn Banner handled it and many in the community still mourns his loss. He was a great contributor to Chivalry 2 and his memory should be cherished.
I do not find this exciting at all. The current game doesn't even feel finished. It is the same game play loop over and over with barely any content. I haven't played on a regular basis in a while. This channel is the only reason I boot up chiv once in a while lol

Chiv 3 wirh different eras and cultures would be nice, I had no idea Nomore room left in hell was made by TB. That game was fun. The second one has been in the works forever. I thought it was just moders releasing a game.
and i just now started playing chivalry 2
You would think they would finish 2 with all the bugs before starting another
Omg, its happening!!!
Really hope they don't leave anything behind from what they had in chivalry 2
PS5 player here. The experience has been horrible since the last 2 updates. Gameplay is often lagging and stuttering until I m thinking of quitting.
Just bought the game during summer sale. Then they're like "alright, we are done updating this game."
To me a glaring issue with the game is when you're defending there are zero ways to reverse the offense progress...
But why have one expensive dev team when you can have a hundred dev teams that are in tune with what players want and are willing to work for zero upfront cost
what would they mod in it
I hope they just make an update of chivalry 2 like CSGO from CS2 it would be cool
Chivalry is on my "Conerning" Tier rn because Tornbanner Studios made Chivalry 2 worse and worse each update after Tenosia was released and that was the last good update Chiv 2 had
hopefully it'll have good combat by then
Why is this needed? Why not update Chiv 2?
Possibly a fundamental redesign.
Overwatch 2 pissed a lot of people off by just overwriting the original game.
I would hate for that to happen to chivalry 2, if chivalry 3 ends up being shite we can just play 2 instead.
Let’s gooooooo!!!
And who wasted money for skins ? We will may can bring them in chivalry 3 ?
They only had two good looking skins and the rest looked like ass. 😂😂😂
If you paid for skins it's still a waste even if you could bring them to chiv3. I think of it like a donation 😂
This ain't Path of Exile😂😂 These devs want every penny you have 😂 You ain't getting anything transfered over from 2 to 3 dog😂
@@Requinix17 You supporting greed
@@300apes money makes the world go round
i played a bit of No More Room In Hell and its fun if you're into that type of hardcore survival stuff. never knew its by TB tho. and im sure people will keep playing Chiv 2 (cant wait for EPIC free games weekend to boost the noob count hehe)
hell i still play Rising Storm 2 Vietnam and that game hasnt been updated in like 3 years or more
rising storm series is my favorite hardcore fps because it balanced fun with hardcore. It wasn't like squad or arma which are walking simulators.
I pray they care about us console players in the next installment
Imagine if Chiv 3 was actually Sword Rush
Sounds like Stridah will transition to Dungeonborne
Good lord please put in voice chat in 3
have to see a katars only event
Really hope that they get rid of the whole class thing and do a lesser version of the token system that mordhau does. Keep the combat the same, although I wouldn’t mind taking the mordhau directional swings. No timed parry, keep it held block. And no ballerina shit.
I'm more excited about an upcoming game named fiefdom tbh
1st. Any established played withing a certain rank as of now needs to be given all the extra skins and weapons and BS. I think rank 500 something whatever i am now i deserve a gift for being a loyal player.
2nd. DTM needs to be available forever. The objectives get old whan all i want to do is fight and kill.
No way, surely my ban won't carry over
It better have a VR online mode! Would be epic!
no, we want it to be good.
If they handle Chiv 3 like they did chiv 2 i dont want it. Chiv 2 was extremely half baked and underdevloped
Why do we need it? Chiv 2 is already perfect game
wish theyd drop workshop/mods
Lol wtf kind of clickbait title is that? Boooo
How long do you think it would take for me to “accidentally” get into a match with you and stream snipe you with chickens and shit the whole time? 😂. Textbook chivalry shenanigans. Find a streamer, throw chickens and shit at him. 😂
Been really wanting to get the game myself, is it still worth it with this news :(
The Bois are back!
it’s laughable that they consider Chiv 2 a complete product…..
💯👍🏼✌🏼
Stridah looking like that microdose might have accidentally been a macrodose
What a couple of chads
Chiv 3 will be litty!
it's been 3 years why the fuck is torn banner giving up on another chiv game, this is why mordhau shouldve been more loved it been around longer still somehow gets updates and torn banner had time to abandon another game, fuck torn banner
Please tell me there will still be team killing! ua-cam.com/video/AtbdRs9U0us/v-deo.html
Yaaaay im so excited to get the most mediocre updates that take 9 years just to release and rampant hackers pt3 :)
LETS GOOOOO
I mean I’d still buy it
What is ur source?
Where's soter dave?
RIP he committed suicide. It was a travesty, especially the way Torn Banner handled it and many in the community still mourns his loss. He was a great contributor to Chivalry 2 and his memory should be cherished.
No way im buying Chivlary 3 after how much they butchered in 2
Releasing the game in a broken state, waiting ages to fix it, and then abandoning it? Great..
I do not find this exciting at all. The current game doesn't even feel finished. It is the same game play loop over and over with barely any content. I haven't played on a regular basis in a while. This channel is the only reason I boot up chiv once in a while lol
THIS IS THE BEST NEWS EVER!
Chiv 2 sucked from launch to close
