@Dooma thanks you. I just finished farming both Templar sets, your build helped me so much, finally got to the final form for the Dragon Boss 😊, wanted to ask would this build also work on a NB..? going farm the new sets..
Weald is a great option but it starts to change the build, as much of your healing comes from jabs damage, which is juiced by Maiden. Im sure its a sliding scale of what is best and in what arc, but I havent personally tested it out.
Curious, why poison on the staff? After thinking about it, no other source of poison so it’s a free damage source where anything else would be doubling down on that source.
As a former Infantry Marine who attended 7 different training programs with our wonderful soldiers, I have to agree elementary school was the theme for sure. Wink😂
Have you thought about the set Symmetry of the Weald for this? Might be good offensive/defensive with status effects and healing in mind? I’ve been trying to figure out where this set would be good.
Hi Nartsv! I was messing around with it a bit on a couple other set ups a while ago. Truthfully, I haven't given it near enough attention as it probably deserves. This build is kind of a weird outlier build using the light armor piece. Previously, I almost never entertained using a light piece (other than the Scuffed Sorc) due to how difficult it makes hitting resist cap, but this build has changed my thinking a bit. I appreciate this comment, it put it back on the radar for me. 🙏
@@Dooma maybe heartland and Weald together would be a crazy status effect build. I think any skill that hits multiple times a second would slap with focused efforts and stupid high status effect chance. Fatecarver comes to mind with arc’s boosted status damage. Or a 2 bar setup running a lot of 1 second or faster ticking dots (caltrops, orb, necro tether, etc)
@@Nartsv Heartland and Weald is exactly what I was thinking as well haha. I think I am going to try that on Scuffed Sorc on the PTS when I get back to stream next week'ish. There is definitely something great in that combo somewhere. Even this one honestly like you said may be great. I think I am going to try that as well just to see what it's doing compared to all my logs from War Maiden runs. Good stuff!
@@Nartsvdiminishing returns with heartland/weald. With charged heartland alone, you are proccing status every strike, in fact, you're extremely unlucky if anything doesn't proc status on that setup. That said, symmetry of the weald is a banging archive set and charged weald would be the same. Just don't combine the two, more effective ways to use your second set
Only problem I'm having is relying on the focused efforts. As in they're just not dropping for me. I'm on PS5 and we just got the update last Wednesday and I've ran it everyday. Doing up until the 5th arc and for 4 or the 5 days I didn't get a single FE. The only day I did get it I got 4. Kinda an all or nothing type deal.
Hi there Dennis! I feel you there man. It's feast or famine. Unfortunately, there is no way around it. I had a perfect run going on stream today and only have 1 FE at Arc 6 and decided to call it due to it about to turn into a huge slog. My personal line for them is 1 by Arc 3 and 2 by 5. Honestly sometimes I go for 2 by 4. If it doesnt happen, I reset. If you are hustling you can clear Arc 1-3 in about 30 minutes. After Arc 3 it starts to ramp up in how long it takes to get through each stage so not having 1 by then can get pretty miserable depending on the build. You can certainly do it without them up to a point, but as you have seen, there is a line where it's just not really worth it. I suggest establishing that line for you (whatever makes sense for your personal game time you have available) and then stick to it. Ive been in that slippery slope countless times going "1 more stage" "1 more stage" "1 more stage" and I blink and I have wasted 2 hours clearing 1/4th the amount of bosses I could have compared to a reset.
During the example at the end, how are you keeping up Ele Sus status effects on that many targets so you can use your Jabs without using Serpent's Disdain? When running this recently, I found myself just spamming Ele Sus constantly over and over since it dropped off so fast. Also it seems like you are spamming and not light weaving, is that correct?
@@Dooma Yeah, I caught that part and why I was asking for AOE pack damage since it seems like for Single Target you can do that weaving, but for AOE packs you cant do that since it wears off so quickly. If looking for just the debuff on the group, wouldnt caltrops be better? Or is there something I am missing with the status effect for Ele Sus in IA without Serpents extension?
@@xychogaming Ah gotchya. This build is just demonstrating there are lots of ways to do it. Every build in the game you can start shaving things off and eventually get back full circle to ‘all roads lead to meta.” Are there ways to generate more damage. Yes. Are there ways to mitigate more damage. Yes. This is a flow back and forth between ele sus and jabbing for a mix of burning + overcharged + jabs heals just to give people something different to play than the usual 2-3 rigid paths to get to upper arcs with 1 bar. That said, ele sus applies burning for 4 seconds, every 7.5 seconds. On a full duration ele sus without reapplying it, that’s ~53% uptime (taken from the dummy). So even if you tapped each mob one time then forgot about it, you are still also getting a tremendous amount of burning damage over the course of the stages (you are getting a higher % up time just generally by reapply it randomly throughout its duration. You get some overlap, it’s worth the global either way as the concussion + chilled from ele sus is also solid damage after a few focused efforts. The jabs addition is totally unnecessary and just a fun way to mix it up with a more melee play style, that is also effective enough to get you to upper arcs. It’s also not an exact science breaking it down perfectly in packs, there’s no time for it. If you prefer the serpents disdain and Ice staff heavy attack kite route, that works totally fine as well (it’s what the last version of this build is and a few other classes on the channel now for this ia season.) The little gameplay clip at the end where I break it down in sections with the explanation of what’s going on explains how it all works together. That same way I did that stage, I did mostly exactly the same across the board with the exception of focusing specific mobs down fast like Mystics and what not. I hope this helps make sense of it some and give you some options to move things around for what works best for you and what you enjoy.
Oh nice, I've only used my templar lately for picking flowers... I should dust it off and try this out. How would Breton be? I like her current appearance and don't really want to change race, although if I have to I'd only want it to be another human race.
You should only need to race change if you have an interest in hitting high Arcs (8, 9, 10+). I would play it for a bit and make sure it's something you really enjoy and want to spend a good amount of time on trying to push high with before spending money. Most people arent really pushing beyond Arc 6 or so (bit of a generalization there, that could even be a lower Arc), mainly due to the time investment it takes to do it.
Templars typically are a little rough with 1 bar in pvp. They just lack some tools that other classes have to make it viable, however, I have this build here which has performed really well in a 75% healer 25% damage role: ua-cam.com/video/WDaq9PIsBAU/v-deo.html Take note of the pinned comment.
Hi there! That can work for a while but will eventually fall off in IA. IA is designed around status effects. That's the core of the content, and more specifically the vision Focused Efforts to strengthen them by 500% per FE stack. That said, if you don't have a build to capitalize on that, you'll end up very limited after a certain point and things will end up a tremendous slog. That's why you see things like Heartland Conquerer on such a large amount of builds designed to push far, as its one of the best status effect generators making your charged trait 470%. If you meant for non-ia content, then I would say for sure give that combo a shot. It may be awesome, but I havent personally tried it out to know for sure or not. If you try it out, I would be interested to know how it worked for you! 🙏
Hi there! I would add this to the back bar for sure: ua-cam.com/video/67L_c6eUzl0/v-deo.html Everything else around it I would have to spend some time play testing to know for sure.
Feels good to use but I am definitely not getting nearly as many overcharge procs as shown, triple checked and build is identical, maybe I'm missing a passive star?
Hi there! If the build matches, I believe that is probably going to come down to Focused Efforts stacks. The more you get (up to 5), the higher chance you have for status effects to proc, along with making their damage much more noticeable in your logs as they get juiced by 500% a stack. Most of the examples shown in the vid are a bit higher arcs with some FE stacked up. For early arcs, overcharged is mostly negligible and you arent going to notice much. Which is why I suggested the alternative set up in the vid to get through that a little quicker. If you have the build exactly the same, and you get a few focused efforts, and you are mostly spamming jabs, you should definitely see overcharged working its way up your logs as a damage source.
@Dooma I learned that just last night and got 4 stacks before end of arc 2, it got stupid REAL quick. Also made the 2 button version as well, it's excellent. And quite landslidey in pvp, despite not being built for it. Think you'll dive into making a temp pvp build sometime? Warden isn't 50 yet so it'll be a while till I can play with that one
@@xildinoth5707 LOL "got stupid REAL quick" is a perfect way to describe early focused efforts haha. Templars are a little tough for one bar set ups. You often either end up being very weak on either offense or survivability. The last one I played was this one here: ua-cam.com/video/WDaq9PIsBAU/v-deo.html&t which is kind of an aggressive support build, but I am not certain how it fits in these new BGs. I still need to play test that one at some point. I am leaving today for vacation until the 6th. When I get back we start the next round of builds, so maybe something will shake out then for the templar.
Oh man that's tough. For contingency you can use green vigor, for wield soul, that is a tough one. Removing both changes things quite a lot and I wouldnt know for sure without a bunch if play testing myself.
Definitely worth a try to see some numbers. The other thing to be aware of that I didn't discuss in the video is the extra sd affecting your status effects. I'm not sure where the scales tip there without trying that out myself. I do think there are lots of options that are viable though. I've been messing with all sorts of weird Heartland + X combos across the classes that have been working well.
Hi there! Tanking is the one combat area in ESO I have exactly zero experience in haha. It's kind of a meme on stream now. To this day, I still have not tanked a single thing a single time after 10k hours. Someone asked this same question last week on stream and I asked a trial main tank buddy what he thought, and his exact words were, "probably." I know that's not helpful at all, but I genuinely have no idea. I don't want to give you bad info.
It's really amazing to see how your builds have evolved with the game and how far you can get soloing. I've seen a bunch of posts saying arc 12 and so on, but they are two players (didn't mention in the post) I also enjoy the flexibility and ease of running your builds. Earlier today I was in IA with someone that sent me your way and after the dragon neither one of us had a focus and it was teeth grinding. I haven't played my Templar in ages and I guess tomorrow I'll be blowing off the dust . Question after your break and after your list of things to do, (it's awesome work) can you suggest a 1 or 2 bar build for IA that would support one of your builds. DPS, some heals and de buffs. My initial thought was Warden: fissure, swarm, revenge and dive are sold damage, debuff starts. Ty again, enjoy your break, looking forward to what's next.
Thank you for the kind words Bill, I appreciate that. I am genuinely glad you are enjoying the builds so much. That's what it's all about right there. 🙏 Ideally for any duo (to go far) you want one as a tank providing specific things. Let me give you Hyperioxes' guide. He's the current world record for IA in both solo and duo with this build (he's since updated it, but I don't think he has it on UA-cam yet. This will at least point you in a direction) ua-cam.com/video/Ytwr7aEdOPg/v-deo.html&t Check out his stream on twitch sometime as well. He streams his super high arc runs as well. I was watching him the other day in Arc 16 solo. Wild stuff haha. Super talented dude.
@@Dooma ty Dooma. Earlier I built the Templar and it's interesting and I'll tinker more with it tomorrow. That DK build is a tad overkill for me cause I lack the time to go in that far, but I got a few ideas from it so ty... I also see what you mean about the Nord.. ty again and for those wanting to build the Templar it's fun, just keep your shield bubble up .. 👍🥃😁
Hi there! There is a section in the video at 7:03 breaking it down for you and there is an additional short video linked in that section breaking it down further ( ua-cam.com/video/hT4xOfl_jxE/v-deo.html&t ).
I got the build done (pretty easy)... so far seems fine for stuff like that but the DPS rate isn't super high. But, very tough and hard to kill. I may want to tweak it some for more damage and less survivability if I'm not doing hard content. I even tried it briefly in Cyrodiil even though it isn't PVP... so far is tough to kill if just 1v1.
I dont recommend any of the IA builds really for non-IA content. It's extremely overkill defensively and has very little damage. They are designed for the Visions within IA, without them, you are basically playing a watered down tank. By the time you make all the changes necessary to make it relevant outside of the IA, you would have saved more time/resources just by swapping to a different build. There are other non-IA solo builds on the channel/website. If you click "ONE BAR SOLO" under "PVE" then scroll down just past the Infinite Archive solo build, you will see a "Two Button" solo build. You sound like you don't need that level of accommodated/adaptive build, but there is some good info in there for you to use as a starting point such as gear, ability, and cp alternatives: www.thegameroom.tv/templar-builds
Hi there! Here is a useful site you may be interested in. ESO-HUB has a set library that makes it really easy finding what you are looking for with drop down menus and whatnot: eso-hub.com/en/sets

Haha you got it! It end's up very high uptime on bosses/marauders and not horrible uptime on adds as you are light attacking around.
As a former Infantry Marine who attended 7 different training programs with our wonderful soldiers, I have to agree elementary school was the theme for sure. Wink😂
Yessirrrr! Stepped out of one elementary school room, into another. 😂😂😂
10:18
If you prefer the serpents disdain and Ice staff heavy attack kite route, that works totally fine as well (it’s what the last version of this build is and a few other classes on the channel now for this ia season.)
The little gameplay clip at the end where I break it down in sections with the explanation of what’s going on explains how it all works together.
Do you have a setup like this that might work good in pvp or bg's that's also 1bar for templar?
Templars typically are a little rough with 1 bar in pvp. They just lack some tools that other classes have to make it viable, however, I have this build here which has performed really well in a 75% healer 25% damage role: ua-cam.com/video/WDaq9PIsBAU/v-deo.html
Take note of the pinned comment.
Ok so I got an idea using the same set up but after you run IA you should have a set of Aetheric lancer with war maiden I need y’all thoughts on this
If I wanted to take your basic premise and apply it to a 2-bar version, what changes or additions would you make to get the most out of it?
Hi there! I would add this to the back bar for sure: ua-cam.com/video/67L_c6eUzl0/v-deo.html
Everything else around it I would have to spend some time play testing to know for sure.
Another Masterpiece! Loved the thought behind this 🤌
Appreciate you Dyattz! 💪
Any recommendations for alt skills, if I don’t have scribing?
Oh man that's tough. For contingency you can use green vigor, for wield soul, that is a tough one. Removing both changes things quite a lot and I wouldnt know for sure without a bunch if play testing myself.
What about swapping wm with deadly? 15% is surely more dmg than the 600sd even with maj/min sorc
Could you effectively tank with this build? Any skill you could replace with a taunt?
Ideally for any duo (to go far) you want one as a tank providing specific things.
Not up on scribing. Could you break down the 2 skills that are scribed
Hi there! There is a section in the video at 7:03 breaking it down for you and there is an additional short video linked in that section breaking it down further ( ua-cam.com/video/hT4xOfl_jxE/v-deo.html&t ).
@@Dooma your awesome! Thank you
@@KennyPerry-t6w You are very welcome!
Oh one more thing, I don't usually do IA. Would this still be good for general PVE use, arenas, trials etc.
@@Dooma Thanks I'll check out your 2-button build, that looked interesting. I'll eventually try IA again, so it will come in useful.
Guys, do someone know sets that give you some sort of damage aura, just like Overwhelming Surge?
I think overwhelming is unique, can't think of a variant that is similar
Just use overwhelming, it rocks
Hi there! Here is a useful site you may be interested in. ESO-HUB has a set library that makes it really easy finding what you are looking for with drop down menus and whatnot: eso-hub.com/en/sets
Whithout scribing skills its possible? Great video ❤
Hi Oliver! You can make it work without scribing, just a bit less effective. You can add green Vigor in place of Contingency and then Living Dark in place of Soul Ward.
I just tried to join your discord with the link in the video, and it said it wasn't valid anymore
Thank you for the heads up, I need to remove those links. We closed out Discord from public access a little while ago. There is some info on it here (See #1) and options to join: www.thegameroom.tv/build-faq

Sure thing! Check out the 11:06 timestamp of the previous version (which still works btw if you prefer a non-melee/jabs set up). I go over a couple of options for specifically Templar class ultimates: ua-cam.com/video/rqHUtgbQCAk/v-deo.html&t
