This is a good example of a properly run repair shop. Not only does the technician know the difference between "dirty but Still serviceable" and ruined parts. I don't think I'd ever have a problem paying an account from this business. Another great video. Thanks for posting.
Hey Jeff I have been dealing with this grinding for a couple weeks now, I've taken it apart 2 times, so I decided to watch this video and figure what I'm doing wrong....turns the clutch nut had so gunk on it and wouldn't go all the way down so I cleaned it off and drove it all the way down and she's perfect again! Good morning, I changed my drive shaft from the reduction gear. I now have wear on the brake shoe hub. I don't understand everything is put together correctly. When I tighten the nut too much on the drive shaft, the wheel locks? If you have a solution to suggest to me
I have the same question. In theory the nut size and grade markings should tell us, but... I set mine at 70 foot pounds, but may be too much? Why does Vespa even have a popoff cover for the clutch nut?

Hi Robot, what causes the front wheel to lock when applying front brakes? When it happens, i tried bleeding the brake fluid line and it'll be okay then after some time, it happens again. Cant seem to solve the issue. Many thanks in advance.
Hi ROBOT I just changed fro 12" to 13" rims on my vespa GTS 300. The mechanic machined the holes in the used 13" rim to mount the ABS plate. The issue is now everyime after about 15 km the rear rim and Tyre gets so hot you can't touch it for more that 2seconds. The wheel spins fairly freely when on stand. Have you faced this, what may be the issue?
I had the same thing happen to my Vespa px. Wouldn't move even with the clutch fully applied. Turned out an arm on the cruciform had snapped off and wedged between the third gear cogs breaking a tooth from both cogs. Took a complete gearbox rebuild to put right. If pulling tte clutch in frees the rear wheel then its not that.
