      Some ideas: use a craft knife instead of scissors. If your image is graphic and outlined, make a wider stroke so you can cut into it. If not, make a softer, faded edge on your image, maybe graduating it into the resin color, so the trim blends in. Or you could do that after printing, with a marker or pastel or something. :)

    This was an awesome tutorial, thanks so much for showing the process step by step. I wanted to use this to turn my stickers into keychains and charms and will be using this with my sticker paper and just higher quality printer paper. I have a question though. I see that you're mixing and handling resin without any safety equipment, and have been worried about using resin for the effects it might have on crafters with years of possible handling and inhalation. Have you run into this issue? You obvi are a pro at using the resin but for a beginner would you recommend using some PPE like gloves and a mask? I always worry and have heard other UA-camrs warn about the dangers of long time work with resin.
    Thanks again for the tutorial, it's awesome 😎

      Hi, thanks for watching. I do recommend ppe. In some of my older videos I didn't wear gloves because of sensory issues and have since found latex free ones that work for me. Resin is not especially dangerous for your health in most cases but you can become sensitized to it over time so best to protect yourself and work in a well be ventilated area, mask up etc.

    • @ResinBelle
      @ResinBelle  3 роки тому

      You can use just about any glue but I have found this glue to work best. With other kinds of glue you will need to do some tests to see how many layers you will need to add for best results

    These look amazing😍. did you use normal printing paper ? I've tried using printed art in my resin before and it always made the ink run.

    • @ResinBelle
      @ResinBelle  2 роки тому +5

      Yes it's just regular printer paper and inkjet printer. When doing this technique it's pretty important to allow your print to dry thoroughly before you heat set it. Otherwise it's like sitting on a freshly painted bench. After it dries and it's heat set the glue will seal the ink so the resin doesn't soak in

      @@ResinBelle I can use this process for actual photographs as well, yes? First time I used a varnish, painted on, and it worked perfectly! Second time, not so well. The ink just faded away within 2 minutes. I think I only put 2 coats, as opposed to the first time I put 3. But, I'm still a bit leary.. 😳 This seems sooo much easier!! Please help.. • @ResinBelle
      @ResinBelle  3 роки тому +2

      just plain ole copy paper for my inkjet printer. nothing fancy. but this method will work for any type of paper. Ive used it on different types of paper from cardstock to tissue paper (of coarse you have to be gentle brushing on glue with tissue paper.)

    Although this does look like a good idea, I use a specific type of paper that doesn't require all those steps. Granted, this doesn't stop bubbles from getting underneath, but if you put the image in using a scoop motion, it usually works great. For example, if you started at an angle and glide the picture in after you've filled your bezel. Here's a link to the paper. (I have no affiliation with this company at all.)
    www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/86lb-pecos-river-gloss-duo.html
    Also, I use Little Windows resin and she has several sample videos of how you use her paper (which I believe is similar to what I'm buying) and insert the image in your bezel. Remember this only works if the resin is already in the bezel instead of pouring the resin on top of the image.
    Please know I'm not complaining about your option, your way definitely reduces or even eliminates the possibility of a bubble under the paper, but does require many extra steps.
    If you want to check out Little Windows, here is their web address. Again, I have nothing to do with this company either, I've just been using her products for 9 years.
