Big tip, dont use wood popsicle sticks or any wood stirrer when mixing your resin. Because of its slight texture it pulls micro bubbles into the resin. Only use a smooth metal, silicone or plastic stir stick
I’ve used all of them and while they are great, the larger size of those popsicle sticks mean that I don’t have to mix as long as I have to with the metal or silicone sticks (for large batches) and if I let the resin sit for a few minutes longer, the bubbles pop themselves.
Like a butterknife?
@@igotfobiaz7036it’s smooth metal so yes…
Or you could resin your popsicle sticks.
Or seal the popsicle sticks you have ahead of time by brushing any left over resin on them at the end of projects.

*All you need is a creative mind and $5*
Making us poor people comfortable 😄 Awesome video, Thank you.
Right
I've been collecting sand from beaches around the world for 20 years. I'm going to create beach coasters using sand from our favorite beaches. First stop, Dollar Tree! Thank you!
That's so wonderful! What a great way to create with found souvenires
Did you make them? How’d they turn out? I’m trying to figure out what to do with my travel sand/small stones/dried plant material.
What a great idea!
Completely forgot abt the loose pigments at the dollar tree. I stopped throwing out my old eyeshadow a year ago and used it to color my resin. Best money saving tip I've seen to date.
You can use eyeshadow to color resin, I'm new to this I didn't know that
Rye shadow good for weathered
Really great ideas!
I came here expecting to hate this, but this was low-key Jedi Master level resin hacking. I watched it twice.
Lolol well I hope it was helpful and as a Star Wars Fan I appreciate the reference
sHE SNAPPED!!!
SAMEE! SAVED THE VID, LIKED, AND SUBSCRIBED. LOVED THE VIDEO.
I hate that store ! They treat their employees like dirt !!
And the editing was just about perfect.
The fact that I was here yesterday and actually bought stuff for my resin work
In the kitchen section, disposable cutting mats, they're about 1 foot by 1.5 feet thin plastic. Work great for protecting your work surface from all types of craft but resin comes right off when it's set. I use them all the time
Yes! I use these for crafting on
@@nikkirex20 best thing I ever bought at $tree
I cut stencils out of those. And I use them to tuck inside a t shirt so when I block print or silk screen or stencil on the front, the ink won't go thru to the back of the shirt. And unlike using cardboard for that, the plastic is washable. I wipe them off while inside the shirt, to keep any smears from happening. Lift the shirt up, wipe the plastic then slide it out. No smears.
Do you sell molds
@@melraggedy who? Me?
i can’t even explain how much i love this video. i am new to resin and a college student lol so i really appreciate how accessible this is
All this crap isn't needed
@@mikebooth5942 just a comment, mate
Hi..just read. Please use precaution. Look here for videos on how to properly use epoxy/resin. Very harmful is not used wisely.
@@mikebooth5942 your attitude isn’t needed
you all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
Sweet! Now, as a Dollar Tree Cashier, I know where to direct my fellow crafters. My main craft is crochet. Thank you for the info.
My Dollar Tree don't even have crochet hooks.
They have some cute yarn. I saw some cool yarn at another store... I think it was Ollie's but it might have been Family Dollar or DG.
DT has such cute yarn too!!
I view the dollar tree store as a business that will probably never go out of business
Yes! I wish they franchised. I’d buy in today.
I do LOVE the Dollar Tree. But i went last weekend and everything is now 1.25. I knew they were going to add higher priced items i.e. 3-5$ but i didnt think the store with "Dollar" in the name would change that. I now refer to it as the "Buck and a Quarter Store" or the "Dollars Tree" LOL. I get it though...I used to hear my Mother and Grandmother talk about a "Five and Dime" store but ive sure never seen one!
@@MsMaryMac I know it’s so annoying like $1 25 really
Do you know where’s the shop please thanks 🙏
Your dollar tree has great items
I'm addicted to the Dolor Tree
I am forever buying resing supplies at dollar tree. Few more suggestions...the small make up brushes work awesome for coating the inside of the mold with mica powder, the silicone holiday shaped ice trays make great molds, those small plastic containers that are generally sold in 8 packs near the foil pans are great to temporarily store extra mixed resin in or to use for making small silicone molds and sometimes the clear shipping tape works great for pouring with the open bezel jewelry. I hope this helps too. The dollar tree is one of my favorite "craft stores" lol.
Thanks for your video 😊. Anytime we can save money in the world of resin is a good day ❤
This comment deserves a reply! Thanks for adding even more tips!
💕
Your dollar tree is stocked much better than mine. 😂
I have to go to the grocery store but $1 Tree is next door. It’s Saturday and I just had to watch this before leaving out. Glad I did! 🥰
I have no idea WHY there are so many thumbs down. These are amazing 👏 tips!! Thank you 💖
probably because their DT sucks... lol and they can't find the items....
Remember Ignorance is Bliss!!
They were lookin for $1 resin lol
Some people are miserable and evil. Cowards, but brave anonymously behind a keyboard. They like to shock and hurt people, even in tragic situations. Or in receiving great advice, as here! (Thank you!) Not healthy mentally, rather pathetic.
Cause people suck lol my dollar tree/dollarama dont have the same items as the ones in the state's but we found a ton of stuff for the bfs resin crafts and were happy since its so much cheaper than our local craft store for small simple needed items. Awesome vid :)
We need a dollar tree
I’d live there! 😃
Always get my stuff from dollar tree 👍🏻
Wow! Never thought to get supplies from dollar store. Fantastic idea! The resin alone is so expensive! Thanks for sharing!
Me too
Thanks! Never thought of most of these!
Thank u for being normal. So easy to understand. I have severe cognitive issues so ur voice, words and the store is perfect. Plus I seen these items so its easy. Thank you for inspiring me
Thank you so much for watching!
Excellent Video! Thank you so very much💕😘
Oh yea I really like your voice. Very soothing. 🌞
This is GOLD.
Thank you for taking the time, I'm even more excited 🤗❤️🤗❤️❤️
Love the tip about the eye shadow, huge money saver. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video! My daughter wants to get into resin but doesn't know how to get started so here I am looking vids to help her out. Truly appreciate it!
Totally awesome ideas and a nice narrating voice too. Thanks!
Aww thanks, that's so sweet
Dollar Tree is a great place for art supplies! I use the plastic shot cups for mixing resin. They work great.
Some of the best resin supplies at the Dollar Tree. Thank you for this.
My local dollar store doesn't sell half of what you showed on this video. It always depends on the location, I guess. Thank you for this video. ♥️
You can also order online and they ship to the stores I'm not sure if they will ship to your home. The downside to ordering online is having to order the minimum which usually is whatever comes in a case for example if you bought the silicone spatula they come in a case of 24 so you'd have that many spatulas at 24 dollars.
I was about yo comment the same there r only 3 dollar trees in nyc and the one deep in the city is always a mess amd empty of stuff but most of this stuff isnt even there but sometimes can be found in other cheap stores tho the price ranges. And as noted it depends where you live however i am happy that I can buy those measuring cups I prefer silicone but if it dosnt stick that's perfect
@@himikoichikawa6893 it depends where you are nyc. There are actually a few dollar trees. If you are thinking just manhattan than I can see you thinking only 3.
You're right. It depends on your location and what your local dollor stores carry. This is a great video though. Very informative.
We have a D.T. near a holly hobby store+they are loaded with similar items!
Thank you for sharing! I’ve never seen a dollar tree with such variety.
Very informative... thank you
Honestly I didn’t think they existed 😂😭
@@fayecoleman9384 .
@@candidlysasha6474 what doesn't exist lol
Baby oil and Vaseline are good for rubbing on your skin just in case you get resin on your skin. Also they can be used for mold release. Cooking spray is good too. You can also use oil sheen which is in the hair care aisle.
Thank you I was wondering what the baby oil was for
@@mickimilagro2800 baby oil is for making the little, shakers… :)
This video saves me lots of trial and error! thanks for the tips :)
Way better than my local dollar tree
*Super helpful!* 🌷🌷🌷
Wow thanks again for sharing
I thought I knew all the good items in Dollar tree .... wow ... rewinding for a second look
Girl!!! This has been the most helpful video I have ever found for crafting. Thanks sooooo much for these tips and instructions. Girl you are a boss for this. Again, thanks girl. Love them.
Thanks so much!
Thank u for help... So sweet
I love going to the $1.25 Tree. 😆
Right? Lol, honestly though I dont really mind the price mostly, they are getting a better selection of items now.
The mica powders work great and if you put the powder on your mold first use some of the makeup brushes to put on the mold they work great
I do that with tiny soap imbeds. Toothpick I the mica
This video was very helpful
You are amazing! I love your Dollar Tree content. I can’t get enough dollar tree! Shopping, diys & creating clever crafts, watching videos like yours, hauls, shop with me’s and store tours. I’m even making my own video of Dollar Tree everything too. I just can’t get enough. Please keep your videos coming. I enjoy them a lot.
Awesome!
I just subbed you girl!
This video is everything 🤙🏿💕
Good info . Cheap stuff
This was so so helpful! I’m 13 and have/starting a resin Etsy shop. I’m on a budget, and LOVE dollar tree so tysm!
That's so cool. Please take proper safety precautions if you don't already use a respirator mask and good ventilation, gloves, eye protection. A lot of artists suffer health problems due to chemical exposure.
@@baronesselsavonfreytag-lor1134 yes!! I am so protective I use everything you just listed and use my TikTok to spread awareness about the safety, it sucks how many people don’t know about it!!
@@nadiamealhow5986 Glad to hear that. Good luck with your shop!
@@baronesselsavonfreytag-lor1134 thanks!! It’s called Moo Moo Resin!
@@nadiamealhow5986 I'll check it out
Another great thing for storage options is thw boxes that are in the party aisle.
It was the first time I ever watched you. YOU SO GOOD I HAD TO LOVE YOU! I had to subscribe❤️
This video is a major plug!
Hilarious. I made a trip the other day and thought “this is a goldmine for print supplies.” And now this vid just popped into my algorithm.
It knows your thought 🤣
Thanks, right on time!!!
love this
Love the info Belle
*disposable gloves* I buy mine at the grocery store for a little over $1 and get way more than at Dollar Tree
*Plastic sheeting* hardware aisle. cut into pieces to protect work surface. The resin peels right off. Great for resin pours too
*plastic cups/shot glasses/condiment containers* same aisle with spoons. The resin doesn't peel off the hard plastic but you can reuse it if it dries with a nice smooth finish OR you can break the cup, carefully, and remove the hardened resin. I keep these to turn into stuff to add to my resin projects
*plastic beads* near the glitter you can find other things to add to resin. Some of the transparent pearls look nice in resin vase pours
*palette knives* somewhere in the craft aisle there are a pack of 3 plastic knives, it's not always a clean peel off, but the resin will peel off the knives.
*silicone molds* I have actually found in the cooking aisle silicone molds for candy making. I've seen another with silicone ice cube makers.
*silicone cutting board* I have a bunch of these that I just end up trashing but the resin will peel off if you do like to keep your stuff relatively neat. I've also poured resin directly over the top of them and peeled the hardened resin off into a nice cutting board shape that could have been a cutting board if it hadn't been an experiment to see what would happen.
*soft plastic trays* sometimes if you look in the storage section OR the kids/school section. They're relatively flimsy but resin peels off so you could use it as a mold for a pour or just as a work surface. One of mine is oval shaped and I use the bottom of it to do bowl pours, as it has a small lip around the bottom of it.
Nice tips! Thanks for sharing for everyone!
What great ideas .. Thank You For Sharing 👏🏻👍👏🏻👍
Can you do a video using the supplies you bought to do a mold and resin project?
Quite a few of my videos feature the items I get from the dollar tree. You can probably spot them as I work lol. But I may do a video creating a project with only dollar tree items, except for resin of course lol.
@@ResinBelle yess do it
@@ResinBelle that would be great!!
I will be looking with fresh eyes next time I'm in a Dollar Tree. Been in with a new way to see before and yet again another new lense to view through.
I love using the wedding little shot cups for mixing different colors when making jewelry. Dollar tree is honestly where it’s it for supplies 🙌🏽
Thanks for the tips! Several of these items would also be useful for other types of crafts besides resin. 👍
Absolutely! So many things can be useful when you look at them from a different perspective.
Idk which dollar tree you went to that’s THAT clean but wow… thanks for the video
10's across the board!!! I loved everything!!
This popped in my feed, been wanting to work with resin
Thanks for all the tips! We have a Dollar Tree close to where I live, and I love shopping there! No guilt!!!
You shouldn’t have guilt shopping anywhere!!
Excellent ideas!
Awesome 👏
me before clicking this: huh, maybe this will be useful for my resin crafting?
me after watching: i would literally die for Resin Belle
My evil plan is complete, assemble my minions! 😂🤣😂 Seriously though, thanks for watching!
This was so helpful!! Thank you so much!!!
I use the thin plastic party tablecloths to cover my work table and the small Dixie cups to mix my different colors.
Great tips! I have more to look for next time I go
We were looking for a way to save on our new business, we found this video. Seems nice and will lower the cost of our overhead and seems like you found a subscriber in us :D
I just used some of those la colors glitter, shimmer eyeshadow from the dollar tree that worked well with mixing the resin. I made colorful resin rings from a gold glitter eyeshadow and a marble looking color ring with a green shimmer eyeshadow and gold shimmer eyeshadow. Can not wait to find out what it looks like 🙂
You might try Party City or other party shops for the trays...I saw some at our local Party City. They weren't $1.00, but they were still cheap!
I love dollar tree! And some of these i never thought to use
Best Dollar Tree video I’ve ever watched on this station.
Thanks so much! I hope it was helpful.
Very helpful short video! Thanks!
This just made me love dollar tree that much more!
Wow thank you so much this was so imfomative
I wish the 5-6 DT's near me had 1/2 of this stuff on a regular. Great Video!!!
Darn, I know some are quite a bit smaller but with that many you would think that at least one would be better for you.
brilliant!
Wow that was like an advertisement done so well had me the whole time! Never even resin and now i want to
Lol thanks
This makes me excited for a Dollar Tree trip. Thank you!
DT also has silicone molds in the seasonal items... they typicallly get gone quick!! I usually get some for both my resin and chocolates...
Awesome tips thanks for sharing, ✌ and growers 💘
Great tips and I love that you just get right to the items and don't dilly dally around! lol
Sometimes I Dally lolol. But I try really hard not to. 😂 Thanks for watching!

Wonderful ideas! Thanks so much. I would have never thought about that
I thank of thee for thy entertainment.
This was hugely helpful! I’ve been looking for ways to cut back on costs for my resin projects!
Beautiful. I wish I have this shop in my country.
I love it
Omg thank you so much! I do a lot of resin crafts but recently I’ve been thinking of making my own molds.
So clean and the door is clean! Wow. I love that store. Thanks for your tips!
Ohhh my glad I found you...now gotta head to the states to make a haul...sadly we don’t have a $$$$ tree🥺
From what I understand poundland in the UK is similar. But that would depend where you are ☺️
Thank you for this video, lots of info here. Nice of you!! 🤗
I don't even do resin crafts but your video was so helpful! It gave me some great ideas. They have several items for paper crafting and items for cricut machines that are far less expensive than anywhere else. Great job!
