The American soldiers and tanks of the C company of the 752nd Tank Battalion navigate through the woods and fields, facing gunfire from an invisible enemy. The commanding officer, Frank L Heaton Jr, attempts to make sense of the situation and orders his tanks to fire upon the tree line ahead. They come under heavy fire and Heaton is struggling to see through the periscopes. Eventually, they spot a Panzer 4 tank firing from the top of a hill and successfully take it out along with two other tanks using their 75mm cannons. They continue to push forward, with the commanding officer keeping a watchful eye for any remaining resistance, but find nothing. The American tanks continue to advance unopposed, with the enemy tracks showing retreat and disappearing on a road. The Americans continue to push forward until they are way into enemy territory.

I am gonna steal the first reply from everyone
@@listopad09 NOOOO
Im second
@@listopad09 I got first comment tho
😇
The fact that you can see the quality of their animations improve almost every video is quite impressive 👏
I know right, I was gonna say that.
FR
Yeah true
Love rewatching videos made even a year ago and then seeing the amazing improvement
And they manage this in 1 week. My Roblox animations could never compare. lol
Also, I am the only one working for myself lol.
Yarnhub is very impressive
That scene when the soldier at the first scene is reloading his M1 Garand and hurt his hand it's actually so accurate.
Mom i'm famous🙀
Garand thumb strikes again!
It’s actually quite hard to get garand thumb but it found still happen in the heat of battle and you are not paying attention to your reload
It’s a nice detail but might I add it didn’t happen as often as people think
At least I often get the feeling that people think it happened on every second reload.
Yeah I love the small details it makes it even better.
Its not as common as people think it is.
German soldier: Man, I'm so glad that I dont have to fight in the frontlines.
A convoy of Shermans: *Hello there*
What a beautiful day to take a day off and ride my bike with some friends down a road, what could go wrong?
@@rapipocudo8690 Shermans: hehehe machine guns go brrrrt
💀
the Sherman's are the front lines
Brother!!!!!
The animation has progressed so well and quite fast as well, its just immaculate.
I agree, but when the trucks explode that quality briefly disappeared
Yes
Holy crap these animations are detailed! Even the ad! This is the first time I really got a feel for what it was like to be a tank commander from ANY video about WW2. It's hard to get a feel for how bad visibility out of a tank can be and how tense it makes the situation when you're just seeing the tanks move around from an outside perspective. Top tier channel.
I've driven a WWII era tank via the periscope and I can tell you, the visibility sucks! I can't imagine having to do battle in a complex environment with potential enemies from multiple sides from that vantage point.
sherman moment
Tank Commander: Load some phosphorus rounds.
Gunner: What why?
Tank Commander: We’re gonna make Shermans march look like a joke.
(Union Dixie intensifies)
Hans get the panzarfoust
Shurm
Certified
Agreed
The Sherman's appear to be M4A3 Sherman's manufactured in the Fischer factory with wet ammo storage, a 3 piece transmission for some reason, the U shape part at the engine part that is covered, entirely welded hull, VVSS suspension and a 75mm turret. Correct me if I'm wrong.
are we ignorring the fact that in some shots the tracks don't move? lol
@@greatcanadianmoose3965 rlly
Their Shermans tend to be a bit of a mish-mash... IIRC they've had some 76mm M4A4s in past videos. As for these, they are small hatch Shermans, which means they aren't Fischer built as the only small hatch Fisher Shermans were M4A2, which the US Army wasn't using in the ETO.
They seem to me more like M4 Shermans (welded hull, with radial engine). It would explain the early type 57 degree glacis, welded armor plates in front of the early driver hatches and right turret cheek and two piece commander's hatch and swivel type periscope
@@greatcanadianmoose3965 because the tracks are too fast
As a former US Army tanker myself hearing the commands send me back. Love it
Imagine, you are a German soldier, not what you wanted to be, but at least you found some friends. You were then ordered to the frontlines, you and your friends bike to the frontlines. But then, out of the blue, you see some M4 Shermans. Your last moments on Earth are of the Shermans firing on you, as you see all of your friends get guned down.
Does anyone else notice the Garand thumb moment at the start?
was just about to comment on that, but you beat me to it lol
Absolutely!
No replys? Lemme fix that
Totally!!
M1 Garand ~ The Thumb Destroyer 😄
Always great when Yarnhub makes a new mini-documentary
Holy moly, this is better than any tank movie i've ever watch. There are so many real life events that are movie worthy of an adaptation but no movie production adapts it. love that we are seeing untold stories here
Absolutely amazing seeing how Yarnhub’s gone from flat, 2D animations, to these masterpieces. All the little details are so well done. Impressive work, Yarnhub! Can’t wait to see what is improved next!
0:26 that's actually nice to see. The M1 Garand sometimes actually injuries soldier's fingers when reloading
grand thamb
This is amazing!! The reloading of the M1! The Garand thumb! It's so well done! Hats off to you guys!
Great content i love history and this channel is just perfect for learning new things ive never heard of before
The cats a chad for just relaxing there in a middle of a war
5:52
I saw this when I was released 10 minutes ago but didn’t have time till an hour after the release I regretted not instantly watching.
The growth of the animation over the years is monumental but the narration is still nostalgic and perfect
Man, sad to see the yarnhub cat becomes the butterfly only to get burned by the fire. Thank you for the incredible bravery story again. I like how detailed the animation is, like the tank track doesn't move due to the frame rate matching the track movement.
a true hero. One who didnt make it back and did more than just his part. I hope we make you proud in the battles to come sir. Give us strength and wisdom because they are coming soon.
Damn, Yarnhub really made the GI in the beginning have Garand Thumb, that's a lot of detail and really cool to see to show the inexperience along with the uniform detail of being underdressed.
At this rate, Yarnhub could already make a movie...
Thank you dear Animators♥️
THE QUALITY IS INSANE THERE IS EVEN REFLECTIONS NOW 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
US Armored Command: "How tf did you guys manage all of that?"
Heaton: "I don't know... I just kept shooting and it just kept working."
Love the detail at 0:28 of the garand thumb
Man, this Yarnhub animations are getting to a way superior level
Great job Yarnhub!
Yes, beautiful job on the M1 Garand rifle. I love the realism!
I really love to see the change from 2d to some of the best cgi I’ve seen, I really like the smallest attention to detail with the guy jamming his thumb in the M1 grand, these small details really tie these videos together and makes them into one of the best films that youtube has to offer. Great job to those animators for this amazing work
The animations in your videos are getting better and better everyday it's truly awesome to see. The passion for history you have is incredible, and the details you are putting into your videos is very cool. I truly enjoy every single video you upload!!!
Keep up the fantastic work 👏 👍
Thank you for supporting us !
The amount of detail in this scene( 6:14 ) is astonishing, you can see the reflection of the sun in Heaton's helmet and the suns light shining into the tank and when he closes the hatch the light is gone along with the reflection.
I've always enjoyed your animation style, and I'm constantly in awe of how polished it looks in recent videos compared to your earlier work. It really helps bring the subject to life, as it should.
This was a wonderful video! Finding the enemy isn’t easy and people often find it boring.
This video is immersive and cinematic at the same time. Good work!
Holy hell Yarnhub. The still panaramic shots, the close ups of the soldiers faces where you can see the beads of sweat and design of the eyes, just wow. Amazing work
There's still a lot of imperfections as flying Stug, moving tracks when tank is still and different angle of tank way and track marks on a ground but still how fast you improving your visual from nearly unrendered models to this is very impressive
We’re always trying to improve based on the feedback
@@Yarnhub its easly visible by every of yours videos. Im sure you just had a deadline from sponsor to release a video thats because theres flying Stug. Saw your channel from one of first if not first video about flying fortress and merciful BF 109 and was really sad saw a few or only vid of yours at the moment. Keep it up mates, your content is 99.1% perfect.
Combining these high-quality and cinematic animations with the amazing documentary-like speaking… It’s perfect. I think only videos like these can make my eyes water.
Germany: Sherman’s are bad
America: sorry, I didn’t hear you, would you like to say that again?
Germany:….No I’m ok
"....they explode in SPECTACULAR fashion" got me laughing😂😂
I took a small break from this content only to come back to this masterpiece! Look how far the animation has come since I last watched!! Bravo! animation team bravo!
The sounds/voices and sound effects amplify the spirit of the video and story
When I saw the first soldier I was like “holy shit this animation is so good”. I love to see the improvements of the animation and it’s crazy when you compare it to the first video.
Oh boy, 'not even 30 seconds in and the solid *thud* of those close up shots is just 🤤. It's been said a million and one times but I'll say it again: the quality of every video is exponentially better than the last. I can't wait to hear this story.
It’s actually surreal how good the animation is now
I'm just amazed at how much better the animation looks literally every single video. Like I'm pretty sure I just noticed the facial hair last video and now you've got accurate garand thumb animation on some random soldier in a forest.
It is said that the tank known as the “Free Trial” was so great, that crews could only use it for a limited time, in order to preserve it.
This already looks phenomenal, something that I couldn't do. I wonder how long it will take to look like he was a cameraman with a time machine.
The glint of light reflecting off the metal, the dimpled surface of leather gloves, the wood grain stock of the Garand... I swear, it's like Yarnhub is in competition with itself on every last video to make a better animation. By next month it will be pure film quality. Outstanding.
The addition of the GI gettng his thumb slammed into the receiver was awesome.
Beautiful! I love how the animations are constantly improving, well done to you and the team.
I love the detail of the Garand thumb, fantastic work. Looks like he was distracted and forgot to hold the bolt before he put the new clip in lol
Wow, Yarnhub has progressed a lot in its graphics!
The details on the animations of your video is is soo realistic that it was like a movie and the shouts inside of the M4 Sherman is also a realistic
The tank animation is the best of the series by far 👍👍
Take that warthunder!!!!
The animation of the firing of the shells is just amazing!!
Props to the cameraman for running into the middle of a battle to film this
They really gave the guy behind the tree in the opening cinematic garand thumb. Outstanding.
The animation in this video looks a lot more natural and smooth compared to previous videos. You guys just keep getting better with every upload.
I have been a viewer of your channel since its debuts. Your animations improvement is staggering. All my history comes from your channel and i cannot thank you enough for your dedication. 🙂
I've seen people commenting about the quality of animation going up, and this is the first video where I actually noticed it. It doesn't even look like animation anymore. Looks like real life!!
Good show chap, bloody well done. From garand thumb to excellent graphics and animations. "You're gonna go far kid. "
The garand thumb moment is so realistic, great job, Yarnhub!
Great video! The only thing I would change is how high up the Sherman is. There wouldn't be that much space between the ground and the bottom of the tank.
Wow! The animation in this video is absolutely spectacular! Great job!
The animation and the texture in the video is really crispy, LOVE IT ! please explore more the asia pacific war if it's possible
Soldier gets Garand thumb at the outset of the battle. Very nice touch.
Yet again another awesome video from Yarnhub I love how the animations have greatly improved over time! Excellent work as always guys!
I love the smallest unimportant details they place, scratches on helmets, bark on trees, reflections of the wet tank from the rain, tracks seeming to stop because of the speed and much more.
At this point Im convinced theres a marvel CGI animation team working behind the scenes but only revealing their skills bit by bit to keep blowing us away every time
Wow! This episode has the highest quality animation so far!
Yalls animation is improving at an astonishing rate and I wouldn't be surprised if some people cant tell em apart from actual, HD footage. I know I Damn near can't.
Yarnhub's animations are getting better and better, can't ask for more.
i'm genuinely surprised you guys don't have millions of subscribers by now, everything you make is perfect!
The red poppies were a lovely and surprisingly moving
detail.
8:10 for the bicycle gangsters vs tanks
i love how when the soldier reloads the M1 Garand, he gets bitten by the bolt, Yarnhub really pays attention to the smallest details
The quality of the animation just top notch.
Nice touch adding the soldier getting Garand Thumb in the opening there.
I LOVE the fact that your animations get better every single video. It's incredible!!!!
After that short intro that segued into the ad I went and watched your first episode. And, wow. Just wow. The animation went has evolved so much. So impressive.
Yarnhub is my favorite HUB 💀
So many heroes in that war! Thanks for shining a light on some of them!
YarnHub Animation never dissappoints!
Iv been watching this channel since day one ... the fact the animations have gotten this good are insane!
8:20 made me a little sad. Youth that I guarantee don't want to be in war, riding bikes through the italian countryside, mowed down by machine guns. War is the worst.
The qualitiy of the animation keeps getting better and better. Keep on with the good work!
looks like for a second, he pitied the enemy @ 8:15
at this point your video and animation quality deserves its own movie
They move so smoothly
Sherman goes past enemy lines
The exact feeling when I go to detention
As someone who has had a stint in modeling for mods on video games... these are some *really* high quality models and animations. You guys have come so far!!!
bro the start where the American soldier gets garand thumb is so cool because its accurate
The lead Sherman at 3:07
"Peace out bros"
Even tracks aint movin 💀
I'm in this one discord server that's just about ww2 era planes and ww2 in general, and when it comes to youtube, your channel is all we ever talk about.
I love how they improved the cinematic of the explosion
I showed my wife part of the video, and then told her it was animation. She was completely surprised. I don't know how you can afford do it on a u-tube channel. It has to be the best on u-tube. Thank you for your dedication to your craft.
We need all the support and growth we can get. Thanks for watching
good lord above, someone get this dude a contract to make an animated ww2 movie!
We're waiting by the phone
WW2, hell they can do everything that involves fighting. Facts are being said. This animation can be used for any storyline that can be done for games, wait this is a game engine, unreal game engine. It pays to play games. If this got any better we would be smelling it as if we were there. The movie industry needs you yarnhub to keep doing what you do. Keeping history alive and well. As for me I salute you yarnhub. What history will come next. Stay tuned for more to come. Once again yarnhub smashes the history channel by doing this. Someone get the Pentagon!!!! They deserve an honor.
The visual were quite beautiful as always, the small details are what makes it so good, like the butterfly looks nice and crisp
Seeing your animation progress is amazing. You've come a long way. Good job.
Even the garand thumb! This is just a perfect. Love all the little details
There's a little bit of a pixelated fire/explosion around 7:30... It's fine by me though...
Edit: corrected time stamp.
