Great vid but one small inaccuracy; at abt 8:46 to 8:59, the handgun the german tank commander is shown with is an american m1911, german tank crews carried mp-40s or lugers
The GoPro-style camera view from the barrel of the German soldier's gun was totally unexpected, and absolutely amazing! Also, the amount of detail you folks put into each item, including the viewport reflection in the tank commander's eyes, is stunning! So well done! Oh, and the story was great, too! 😉
Wow I'm very surprised that this is the same tank appeared in FURY movie... Very beautiful animation,so details, I love it, one of the best historical UA-cam channel of all time
This is not a historical channel. Look at the inside of the Tiger at 9:02. This is some kind of comedy channel. Also, the terrain in this video does not resemble the real place; the actions of the Germans are merely guesswork; and the other Panzers are not represented.
It took me a second glance to understand that the tank getting out of a garage ( at 10:00) is a movie, not an animation. It shows the quality of your work. Another excellent work!
I was watching one of your earliest videos about US Navy fighter pilot Jessie Brown the other day. When I compare these two videos the graphics has really come a long way since the founding of your channel. The character modelling and animations, facial features, the character and environment textures. All fantastic, and they keep getting better. Keep it up.👍👍
Brilliant as always. Ive been watching since the beginning when the story of the Brown/Stiegler incident left me in tears. You've illuminated moments of incredible courage, terrible violence and destruction, and most importantly, occasions of unexpected mercy, compassion and humanity. I also remember typing a comment to probably do both of them as a combo, I LOVE THIS ANIMATION TEAM! ❤💚
This is not a video. It's even better, it's a movie nice attention to detail yarnhub👍👍👍☺️
yes ive been waiting so long for this story! I recently got the oppertunity to see Tiger 131 in real life
So cool 🤩
Such good animation! It’s as if it was filmed IRL. GoPro-style camera view, the following of the shells, and a great job with the audio, too. Even some German snippets!
I was so happy to have had the chance to travel to see the Bovington tank museum this past summer! Was definitely worth my time, honestly didn't have enough time and was overwhelmed by it all. But the Tiger 1 and 2 are both insane to see in person!
This is by far the best history channel.
Best channel for historical world war videos. No longer need to use my imagination for this 3D animation 😂.
I've been watching since the first videos, and I love how much this channel has grown. It's amazing how good the animation is!
Your animation has become so clean and detailed. It's amazing to see the progress, and the stories you cover are always entertaining and interesting. Your channel is both informative and engaging. Love your content
I remember watching Yarnhub when their graphics were low-middle poly. I can't believe how you guys improved so much! Can't wait for the next vid.
Production is INSANE
This was awsome! My tanking heart pounds fast! You guys could easily remake all old stories into these with this good quality. I would rewatch them all!
You realize just how good YH's animation has gotten when you have to double check the footage at the end to be sure it's truly live action 👍
Could be AI-assisted?
@@smorrow AI have no sense of perception.
Hey Yarnhub, I’d like to make a request, you don’t have to do it immediately, but I’d like for you guys to at least do it at some point. The Battle of North Cape, the battle where the Scharnhorst was sunk and the surface operations of the Kriegsmarine came to an end.
Once again, thank you Yarnhub for making some of the best historical content out there, AND listening to the viewers and at least considering their proposals/requests!
The animation, storytelling and your ability to bring to life these stories of conflict and against all odds victories, moments of humanity and even times when enemies fought together is just spellbinding.
The story of the island of Malta GC during WW2 would be a goldmine for you guys.
One Spitfire pilot, George 'Screwball' Beurling of 249 (Gold Coast) Squadron based at RAF Ta Qali managed to take down a BF109 in Spitfire Mk Vb tropical EP706 at a range of 800 yards in a climbing turn. A feat that was never bettered.
Wing Commander Adrian Warburton, his amazing skills as a pr pilot on the island made him a legend, there are the stories of the 3 Gloster Gladiators Faith, Hope and Charity, Operation Pedestal, HMS/S Upholder and so many more tales of heroism from the George Cross island
I love these type of history content. Keep this work up👍
Thank you youtube algoritm for this channel. A tressure full of awesome war stories.
damn it guys, i'm a working man and need my sleep, but ur videos are too DAMN GOOD and its keeping me up night after night! well done! Brilliant videos! Just brilliant!
highly recommend these videos for aficionados of military history!
Graphics have improved so much that at the end I couldn't tell for a few seconds that it was an actual footage of Tiger 131 and not the animation.😂😅
Keep up the good work, Yarnhub. You're the best! 💪
No wonder Tiger 131 has really become the most celebrity German tank in the world to this day after seeing the movie Fury fantastic work Yarnhub. Please do the mosquito night intruder story.
Wow, this was incredible. I can't believe I watched this channel grow up.
Back then 4 years, pre-rona, 2d-cucumbers stuck together in human shapes... yeah, dunno how u feel, mate ... but me is somehow proud to be a part of seeing them grow😊
Guys, your animations are just getting better and better! Such an awesome work.
Its amazing to see how far your videos and channel has come along every single video has so much detail and information they truly are amazing and the fact that you take the time to like almost every person's comment it goes to show how much you appreciate everyone who watchs the videos please keep these videos coming and cant wait for the next one
Amazing work on the animations. The quality became top notch over the past videos. Keep on this amazing work!
Your 3D modelling crew on permanent Pervitin intake like Aimo Koivunen, or something?
These models are simply incredible, I can't even imagine the amount of work going into these, let alone the animation and effects.
I wonder if your graphics team also has the same survival knack as Aimo, a cunning ability to make a fire no matter the circumstance. Just make sure they don't make a fire in the middle of the room and burn down the YarnHub studio!
It is downright incredible what you guys are putting out.
The detail on the soldier's face at the start as well as with various soldiers throughout the entire video was surreal, same with all the angles throughout the video, including that part with go-pro style angles. I will always continue to be a big fan of Yarnhub for their very insightful, as well as detailed and educational videos. Seeing them start from just 2d animations and now with incredible detail, super cool. Cheers to the team :)
The GoPro-style camera view from the barrel of the German soldier's gun was totally unexpected, and absolutely amazing!
7:21 the tiger just said “the fuck did you just say to me”
Mhm
Your animations have improved over the years a lot. Keep up the good work
I watched your older videos just a few days ago, the progress you made in animation and detail since then is tremendous. Good work
It's amazing to see an animated story about Tiger 131 using all of the information that we now have explaining how this monster came to be where it is now.
And yet we dont know who the commander
@@andrewcarlson3486 Allegedly, the German WWII Panzer Veterans Association DO know who the crew were, but are so ashamed of their actions in not destroying Tiger 131 as they were required to do, that they have refused to reveal their names because of the disgrace. They have become "unmentionables" and as far as the Association is concerned, are not worthy of their names being disclosed.
@@jcorbett9620 There’s a panzer veterans association 😂
@@jcorbett9620 feel like Yarnhub should do a video involving that indian tank commander
I have a model of 131 in my room right here!
Great video as always, yarnhub!
To think tiger 131 would have been a smoldering wreck of twisted metal, steel, and lead if the crew had set off the self-detonating charge!
It's always a pleasure to see these stories and even more so with the improving graphics/ detail of the animations!
You guys are awesome. Your work is incredible and thank you for giving us all these stories in a beautiful fashion be common or very niche they are all perfect.
Wow, you guys are amazing! Your animating skills are incredible! Your team deserves 10000000000 Oscar awards!
While the old animations may hold some nostalgia to them, the current work of the animators are absolutely incredible. I loved seeing the channel grow over the years!
Damn, not only have the Animasion been drastically improved over the standard you have reached the last 4-5 months, but has reached a new level again, and a drastic improvement in camera work and modeling too.
Simply put, brilliant work.
I was lucky enough to be a tank crewman. Not in WW2 of course, but from 2009-2014 on the Marine Corps M1A1. I've had some cool jobs in my life, but that truly is the best job I've ever had.
that tiger growl at 3:51 🐅🧡
Bro. That gun POV is so epic. Your animation just keeps getting better and better with each video. You guys are probably the UFOTABLE of historical UA-cam. Your animations are miles away from animations used by actual media network that makes historical documentaries like Drain the Ocean.
4:35
Fun fact, the German commander says (albeit with a terrible English accent :')) "fünfzehnhundert Meter" which means 1,500 metres, not 500 (according to subtitles).
We should have also put an apology to all German speakers
@@Yarnhub
Haha, it's fine.;) Still, reminder that I suggested I could provide you some German voice lines ;)
Your animations get better, nice to see you guys progressing
Dawg, I've been watching your videos for prolly a few years at this point, and I gotta say, not only am I impressed, I am proud of how far your animation and audio have co.e along. Have you tried remastering any of your old videos? Anyway, much love frm pa, keep it up mane
2:06 view from the German soldier's gun 😍
also that "1 *3* *1* "
I used your videos for my essay on WW2 and got an easy A thank you for the history yarnhub
Brad Pitt looks funny here. Then proceed saying "Best job I ever had". Love the animation and story.
Used to read the comic book Jeb Stewart, and the haunted tank when I was young always had a soft spot in my heart for tanks. This was a good video thank you.
Dude the graphics look better than movies!
For the love of God please make a ww2 movie with this animation I just know it'll be amazing
"Ich schütze meine Schnitzel, ich fahre vorwärts" (3:22)
As a nativ speaker, I've absolute no ideas why he said schnitzel
“Protect my schnitzel” could have been a saying at the time, like a way of saying protect my back, though honestly it could be mistranslation or just random.
how long does it take y'all to make one of these videos? (Im assuming theres a small team of some sort) the production value has skyrocketed and it was always some of the best on the platform.
a film like this is about 35 person weeks of work with some overtime
@@Yarnhub what is a person week?
@@josebales3944 The labor a person can produce in a week. Man hours is the more common term for the same concept-the amount of labor a person can do in an hour.
@@josebales3944 35 weeks it it were 1 person working full time on the film
@@Yarnhub wow, that is some dedication. I appreciate your and your teams work.
Could watch these recaps all day long... the animations are awesome.
Bruh every video the animations and perspectives get better and better. Good job
*Africa ran out of Lions?*
I know that this is tiger 131 and not tiger 237 from bfv, but if any of you can recall, Müller's tank was shooting at British tanks at the opening scene of the last tiger, which was set in a desert so if you can, please continue:
When I was a child, a group of boys were caught stealing from the local shop.
I liked the part with the PIAT, always interesting hearing accounts of it being used in combat. Ever heard of Ernest "Smokey" Smith? You might enjoy his story, he used a PIAT in action in Italy helping him earn the Victoria cross.
I like the apology to Brad Pitt for the poor lookalike 😂😂 good work yarnhub keep up the good work.
Incredible animation and retelling of the capturing of tiger 131.
