Just like on PC, the controller also has a lot of different settings to choose and tweak from, starting from look sensitivity and aim sensitivity to the dead zone. Considering how different Controller and Console are from PC and Mouse and Keyboard, these settings can play a big difference in how you play on Controller, especially considering a predator console player like Nickmercs. Nickmercs is one of the most well-known controller players who’re on their grind to pred, as such Nickmercs controller settings are well fit for high tier console apex legends skill and ranked.

I'd like to see you try Gentrifying, Pandxrz, or Knoqds settings. They have very fine tuned movements and aim. Nick is just a basic roller player
Their settings take some skill to utilize…not taking anything away from nick but I would love to see the roller haters play on Gen settings

I just got a ps5 after playing pc only for like 10 years. Trying to get the feel for it playing cold war and apex and the first thing I realised was don't use right stick just strafe and the game plays itself lol
All I'm saying console is completely different than PC example fps is different on console I been playing 4-3 on classic with a small deadzone I might up it so I can have movement on console

I’m no one special, but I’d love to see you try my sense @otter. I play on a fast linear sense that uses a little bit of extra yaw and pitch to go top speed when trying to 180 or 360, or trying to catch up with fast targets while ads. Mine is modeled after Extessy but it’s a little slower for accuracy. (We make up for this with extra speed alc settings) It’s also set up to feel like 1:1 mouse movement IMO.
From top to bottom it is:
Deadzone: 3%
Outer thresh: 0 or 1%
Response curve: 0
Yaw: 300
Pitch:300
Extra yaw:200
Extra pitch:200
(The fastest you can move on controller is 500) so no point in adding more extra yaw/pitch)
Ads yaw: 140
Ads pitch: 140
Extra y: 160
Extra p: 160
If you want more of a challenge, use pc aim assist (unless you already do cause duh pc lol)
Also I recommend claw to use this. And a kontrol freek for better range of motion. I have weird button binds set up to specifically support flashy movement and not taking my thumb off the stick.

That's my movement sense. I got clips to back up the claims too. Just try movement on controller. Feels super hard until you turn sense up a little and then get used to not turning too fast and canceling momentum. Ps. My 2x and 3x sense are custom so that I can use them closer range while I'm sliding and jumping
On console apex I’m about platinum-diamond rank(s12), I turned my triggers( L2 and R2) as my jump(L2) and crouch(R2), and my bumpers as ads and fire, I think it really helped me get my movement down and started me on the path to playing claw, so you can try it out if you want.
Also if you like to play on higher senses, I would also recommend turning your response curve to linear and setting your look around sense to 5 and ads sense to 4

Dead zone is really mainly used for people with stick drift doesn’t really help or hurt unless it’s too high then it’s hurting
If u have no stick drift u could get finer aiming with small deadzone

Not only that but content streamers whatever enemies always running away hiding running past oblivious while my randoms do this my enemy never miss mad tight like they are hugging grouped up apeing plus my aim assist isn’t like that if I don’t touch the right stick like he said they’ll just run out of the aim assist and the gun will go every where plus he super glided and wall jumps and everything but act like he never played controller so idk If it was this easy then everyone he faces would be harder making the game impossible so it makes no sense to me

Exactly. I’m not convinced that aim assist is that powerful until he is playing against players with ACTUAL movement that requires you to actually input your tracking and gun skills.

If you use high sensitivity linear the aim assist is greatly reduced.
This right here! I use that on my alc settings. It also just feels a lot more accurate to what I’m ac it ally trying to do when I aim because I have everything set to feel like it’s 1:1
