Love the vid, I've changed my settings so much I went back to steady to just keep something consistent, I've tried linear out again recently and have liked it it just is different so I haven't decided if I've liked it or not. Definitely gonna give it a shot for like 2 weeks again
The reason your struggling more with some of the response curves is because your staying on 4,3 but fine aim, and high velocity are designed for different sensitivity’s then what you would normally use on classic or linear ( high velocity would be better on a lower sens and fine aim on higher )
No lower for fine aim and then use alcs I use 2-2 fine aim and then my alcs it’s aimbot the sense converts over to alc and alc per optics convert over to regular sense try it out go to alcs and put everything to a 10.0 then turn them off with the per optics with your regular senses you’ll see what I’m saying
@@kellantothemax35wait what can u please explain a little more i am having a hard time understanding your comment bruh sorry 😔
@@kellantothemax35 stop giving away the sauce please 😂
@@Tyronebigggums i don’t think he knows what he’s talking about. You can’t do both ALCs and preset sensitivities at the same time.
@@Smiley957 he’s saying that alc per optics affect the default sensitivities, even if you aren’t using alc settings
I adore max alc with ultra low ads but max extra. Beams at range, close up flicks are a dream, and is just so much fun
i love your videos thx for starting to upload agin;)
how did you know I needed this video today lol
I think it would help the roller vs mnk debate if the devs could do something about the aiming system. There’s a lot of things that work against you when it comes to it that people still struggle with
Like the fact aim assist is so strong it messes up literally any sens. I wish aim assist was just lightly nerfed for everyone on controller
High velocity is basically just like trying to use a computer mouse with a lot of acceleration. Theoretically, it could be the best with more fine control, but the person using it would have to be actually god-like with a controller.
bro, i played on steady for 2 weeks and it's actually insane. i can easily shoot enemies at long range and flick/hipfire, if i need it. that's like a combination of linear and classic. it actually feels like dynamic from warzone and that's what i was looking for!
What sens do you play on steady
TDM is going to be great to try out different response curves and get the practice in
Yeah unless you just get shat on by people smurfing and destroyed by like 6 people at the same time. Can’t believe they removed arena I hated that so much. It was so much easier to train your sim in arena matches much more fair 3v3 rather than 6v6 constant respawns

I play with custom controls and when I first changed from linear I was trash but if you love movement as well as fine sim whilst moving quickly and wall bouncing it’s much easier to hit your shots for more accurate players, you just have to get use to it and when you do my guy you gonna be beaming
bro that piano convieniently starts playing when koala says "if you feel like you've hit a wall and cant get any better" like it knows my situation😭0:36
I really wish there was separate deadzone, threshold and response curve adjustments for YAW AND ADS YAW speeds. I love a very sensitive linear ADS, but it completely destroys my hipfire accuracy. Ive been messing with ALC settings and linear for ages now. Cant ever find that sweet spot. Also hate the aim assist slowdown, because you get used to a sense and aim assist completely changes that when hovering over enemies.
That slow down might be if your using the extra pitch and extra yaw settings, those add to your total sense when the analog stick is pushed to the outer threshold, but what they don’t tell you is that aim assist turns off that extra sense, and that can feel really bad if your base sense is too low. I run outer threshold - 1%, response curve - 6, yaw - 200, pitch - 160, extra yaw - 200, extra pitch - 160, ads yaw - 100, ads pitch - 80, ads extra yaw 50, ads extra pitch 40, and zero ramp up or delay, and deadzone should be as low as possible without getting drift. That’s basically a modified 4/3 that’s in between classic and linear. You could try something like that, or even switch the extra pitch and yaw values to zero if those throw you off.
Love the vids koala
That volt skin tho!!! I wish i was playing Apex when that skin was in the store
4:29 “is that an invisible fence?!”
Honestly depending on your controller and how much drift you have,no deadzone 4-3 linear is better, but like a ps5 controller or a controller that has a lot of drift you should have small deadzone
i used to play on 7/5 on classic for roller lets just say you have to hip fire an eva in order to hit shots i played like this for 3 years until i switched to mnk
i used to watch your vids all the time like seasons 1-3
Classic does not automatically have a larger deadzone. It has a 10 response curve with either a small or large deadzone that is equal to the other response curve types. The 'margin of error' is greater on classic because the YAW sens is higher than the PITCH by a specific amount. This allows you to pull all the way left or right on the stick without your aim moving up or down. On linear the YAW sens is only slightly higher than the PITCH so you have less margin of error when tracking someone left to right or vis versa. I'm a no life with 8000 hours playing apex on ALCS. I'm pretty sure I'm right about this.
Great input. Would you mind sharing your settings to try them out?
@Kmasse8 Sure
Deadzone 2
Outer Threshold 1
Response Curve 2
Yaw 200
Pitch 140
Turning extra yaw 130
Turning extra pitch 60
Turning rampup time/delay 0
ADS Yaw 132
ADS Pitch 114
ADS Turning extra yaw/pitch 0
ADS Turning rampup time/delay 0
Per Optic ADS:
1x/iron sights 1.2
2x 1.4
3x 1.4
4x 1.4
6x 1.6
8x 1.6
10x 1.6
A range of response curves feel good to me on these sensitivities. Anything from 2-6 is good, but I've found that I have better movement with 2, so that's what I run. It really depends on your playstyle, though. If you're aggressive and get up in people faces a lot, then a lower response curve is better. If you tend to take fights a little slower and need more stability for ranged engagements, then I would recommend a higher response curve of 4-6.
Ayo the caustic slander is crazy
3:51 broo I legit broke down laughing
It all comes down to preference at the end of the day
hi koala ty for great video again
4:28, "Is that an invisible fence?!" *DIES*
If youre on pc make sure to overclock your controller. I just did it and its notably more reactive in game
ALC for linear with a slight depress similar to classic is best IMO, no deadzone and quick response up close but still good fine recoil control at range
What are the alc for linear
@@alexanderfiehrer9447 response curve 0
Linear 4.3 ALC are yaw 220 pitch 180 ex yaw 220 ex pitch 100. I changed the ads values a bit. I got ads yaw 125 ads pitch 125 ads ex yaw 140 ads ex pitch 80. These settings slap.
I gotta disagree with you for the classic part. The deadzone is unchanged, it is the response curve that has an exponential form, compared to a linear one for.. linear.
So classic is like the more you pull the stick, the faster it goes, resulting in inconsistencies while controlling recoil at mid/long range, while linear is less accurate in hipfire and close range because it is 1:1 with the input performed, drifting away from the aim assist pull more easily.
To have the best of both world, I used to use linear (0/1/0, 400/400, 130/130) with extra yaw/pitch on both ADS and hipfire to have that « classic max speed ». You can use a bit of ramp up so it doesn’t feel like fine aim but it’s a matter of preference at the end of the day
Switch to linear and got my first 20 bomb and 4k that setting is op
Linear 5-5 ps5/apex version for ps4/ no dead zone/ DualShock controller with back button attachment/
I guess almost perfect response. Mid/close range +++
2-3 weeks to get used
He’s back 🔥
Steady is great for fine aim adjustments, similar to linear. With zero deadzone it's solid 💪
Steady isnt even close to be like linear lol😂😂
That and I run 5-3 its odd but great for range!
I agree with most of what he is saying, and there probably is a higher skill ceiling on linear, but it is so hard to achieve in my op, and with classic, if you master it, you are probably better than a lot of linear players. (I use verhulst and ChaoticMuch as an example)
verhulst plays on linear btw
Yeah it takes a long time to master linear and even then you can play inconsistent sometimes at least for me I've had genburtens settings nearly 2 years and I have finally got better then what I was when I was on classic or the default linear which is easier then gens settings
@@AEONIC_MUSIC don’t you have a lot of stick drift using gens sens?
@Itzzwrat not too bad I think you have to learn how to place your thumb to minimise it and also a decent controller
Do You use acl settings or the other? I mean the 1-10 options
I love 5,5 on linears maybe it's just me being someone who came from rb6s but I'm used to my aim sensitivity being exactly the same as my regular sensitivity.
Steady-wingman goes nuts give it a go thank me later
Trying
I have been struggling but I have also gotten drift in my controller might try steady see if that helps
Yow I'm now to this game And dang just tried your settings and something in my aim changed I could get a kill Finally
do you still recommend linear on console with lower frames?
My ALC is really close to aim bot, fast camera movement then locks on to enemy.
Takes a while to get used to.. but once you figured it out... You'll never miss your shots.
What is it?
0:57 i'm dying
Been playing shooters forever and still don't know what response curve is I just use the per optic settings.
I don’t even use ACL settings i okay weird but its still snappy & quick
4 - 2 linear no deadzone to small deadzone depends on how you can actually track in air and mid air
4-3 classic no deadzone are the best sens.
best channel in content wise
Classic the best
ALC is the way to go if you take some time to experiment
Personally, I believe it's bad to use 380s, if you have to compensate by using left stick aiming and I'm ads to catch a target ( sometimes ) it's just not a good sens
Good vid
I like linear but I can’t pick it over classic. The medium to long range control u get with classic allows for much more entry damage compared to linear.
Yea I’m a 4-3 classic user it just feels nice and I have good control close range with it
" fantastic im going away from that"
Would you recommend linear if someone were to only play apex when they’re drunk
when i try high vel or linear i feel like i have to bump deadzone to small on classic or steady i feel like no deadzone
They should add visual graphs for the response curves so that we know eaclty what they look like instead of a vague eplanation in the settings menu
They do have a visual graph. Sarcasm?
What is your outro song called ?
I use alc but still watched the hole vid👍🔥
missed you Koala
I always use classic because my controller has quite a bit of drift
Good bud I subscribe
What do these equate to in alc?
What are your per optic settings
Linear 💪🏼
is that an invisible fence? LMAO
This guy has god like skins oml
Tips for hitting long range? I recently switched to 4-3 linear myself and absolutely decimate people at close range but medium to long it's just too sensitive to track people properly.
what helped me was giving it just little tiny response curve. so you have a little bit of acceleration on the small adjustments but still the feeling of linear
@@KeksKube can you explain this to me? would I have to change some alcs, and if i do would u mind giving me yours
@@LACshawn yeah alcs. Zero deadzone, no outer threshold but response curve I have on 3. I startet with 1 and couldn't really notice a difference to 0. With 2 I could notice a little acceleration but was still struggling on longer ranges. And 4 was already to much for me personally, didn't feel natural anymore so I kept it on 3.
try 250 all, with boost off, 15 curve or linear, but I would make ads 25% for linear or 125...perfect 50% sensitivity better than 4 4, more accurate, enjoy.
I have been playing linear 2 2 it's so weird it does good some days others not
Try playing hybrid mnk and the roller be funny to see
3:51 bro u had me laughing so hard r
4:30 😭😭 ur intrusive thoughts are hilarious
6:11 stop it! stop ur mum! Bro ur actually funny
Obviously every sens will have its tradeoffs, I don't think there is a perfect, gold standard sense but I would say 4-3 linear no dead zone has been really good to me. It's the most consistent sens I've ever used and yes even though at long range it's a little weaker like koala said, I still feel the extra control at close-medium range is worth it.
Try small deadzone, its better on both medium-close and long rage
As a MnK player, i can also change these settings
What is his reticle settings?? It looks the same as Hal's/Rep's and I've been trying to find those, but have only been able to find old ones from when they had neg values.
its just green dude
Stick drift on my controller is preventing me from lessening my dead zone or switching to linear:/ I use 5/5 classic rn
Steady is best for me
I play on PS5 and typically use classic. I actually tried linear last night. I noticed that on linear my stick drifts to the right. Is tgis normal on controller? When I play on classic I have never experienced any type of stick drift. Is it the linear setting or is my controller bad? I have had the original roller since i bought the system 2 years ago.
Bump up your dead zone from 0 up until there is no drift. For me that dead zone is 5 (with 4 there is drift).
Idk what you’re talking about when saying that players that use classic tend to not use hip fire alot, my hip fire is on another level while using classic and wins me so many fights
I have some Alc settings you should try out
You can literally use alc 0 response curve and for me 3% dead zone all the rest of the settings is just personal preference
do u use ACL and whats ur per optic
for me linear with no deadzone is deadly
if you like it being fluid and free you should try a mouse
5-6 steady no dead zone is so good
always if someone asks me fro what sens and response curve to use my answer is quite simple. In apex I fell like a slower sens on controller is better for aim, faster for replicating mouse like movements. i recommend 5-3, 4-3 or 5-4 with linear. I personally use ALC and if you want more personalisation use ALC for a couple of weeks or months, eventually you will get the perfect sensitivity. It took em over a year to get the right sens for me
ALC is beast
Switched to linear and I’m already nearly plat 3
I am MnK but I still watch this and be like
: Hmm, naruhodo
I love koala
You dont use ALC?
Which is the best for recoil control?
Linear will always be king in that regard it's all your input no game placing any restrictions on you unless you apply deadzone
@@Ninthtry9103 thanks
When I play linear 4-3 small dead zone I don’t think I’m getting any aim assist, but as soon as I go onto no dead zone I get it? How lol
can you show us please full setting for your controller bro and thanx so much ❤️
oh really i won ?
Bro imagine a macro that can switch from the linear to a good long range sens.
You can build linear 43 alc ? 43 deaful i dont use small big
Alc master race
Steady is rc 15 classic is 10 it's weird it felt like a mix of l and c to you
I don’t understand how people play on anything but ALC. The default sensitivities feel so clunky and restrictive.
💯
Thats because they play on PC with higher frames per second. The game is much more fluid and a 4-3 classic no dead zone feels smoother. I'm guessing your on console?
@@rcbucs25 I get what you’re trying to say, but aim assist is still stronger overall on console. You think console players don’t get beamed too? lol
@@yahshua4928 I am a console player on ps5 and also use Alcs because I dont like default settings b/c it feels clunky.
