  • Using the tap and die holder threading tool I made for the lathe to quickly tap or thread parts on the lathe using my DIY tailstock tap and die, holder. This has made tapping parts very fast and easy.

Gday, I’m impressed, I have made the die holder for the 1” dies and was going to make another one for the 1”1/2 dies but now I have seen this idea of yours with the seperate inserts is absolutely fantastic, I hope you don’t mind but I really have to borrow your idea, thank you for sharing, very much appreciated, ATB Matty

The next thing you need to make is a camera holder! 😂.....so that you can use both hands when needed.👍. I like your ideas tho!

Nice video. Makes me want to build one.
You really need to consider a camera holder.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I think this is definitely going to be on my project list. I found the tap holders on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Hanson-3095001-2-Piece-Adjustable-Socket/dp/B000TGM7HY

It is amazing how two people separated by God knows how far can come up with the same idea. I have made everything you have made years ago, the only difference being I made a knurled die holder for each die NC and NF and a rack to keep them on because I didn’t want to fool with the set screws! I made two tap chuck holders when Irwin introduced the tap chucks. This is almost unbelievable!

Let me start by saying I've seen a lot of these made on you tube but none with the thought you have put into it. I really like the adapters for the different dies and one tool for all. Very good idea. I have two questions if I may , where did you find the M2 taper with threads that fits into your tail stop to make the tool with , and if you ever could remember where you found the tool to hold the taps as well I would like to purchase them. I looked on the internet but haven't found them as of now. Very good video and thanks for posting. You have a new subscriber.
