    I'm already setup, but congratulations on your informative excellent video. I have this orbit valve for one section and also their 6 station controller. For the Orbit, I remove the batteries and valve and store it for the winter. I put in new batteries and reconnect it in the spring. :)

    The absolute best video anywhere on setting up different configurations of components for drip irrigation. It took me a lot of time and several errors to figure out how to do this. There is not a HD within 150 miles of my house that carries irrigation parts. I was envious of you selection at HD. Thanks again. I will save this post to share every time someone asks me how to run drip.

    Great job, Jess, I feel like a proud mama toward you. I love your independence and willingness to do these types of jobs for yourself. I was wondering, do you not have an irrigation system that could water all the beds; that's what I do, making sure the sprinklers hit all the beds. Just curious. Thanks, Gina.

    Jess, around the 5 min mark, when you turn on the water, I see you have the same issue I have, which is a small drip from the timer before the water gets to the irrigation hose. I understand how to set it all up (thanks for your easy how-to tips!), but I have never been able to use a timer because if I try to leave the water valve on, there is always a drip! It's never water-tight, so I always resort to ditching the timer and just manually turning the water on each day. I would LOVE to have the system water at 5am when it's coolest, and they say evaporation is at its lowest, but I cannot deal with the idea of leaving the water faucet on while it's drip, drip, dripping out of the timer connection constantly. If you come up with a way to fix that problem, please do show us! I'm DYING to have drip running where I can set the timer and not worry about it. Thanks for your informative videos.

      Hi! That leak is actually coming from my faucet not the timer connection. I just need to fix my faucets on BOTH sides of my house actually.. Just havn't gotten around to them yet but they are on my to-do list lol! Have u tried changing out ur washers?

    • @introvertinspired1308
      @introvertinspired1308 4 роки тому

      @@KreatyveGardenista Oh! Ok. No, I haven't changed out the washers... I'm not terribly handy. I did have the hose bib replaced on the other side of the house, so that could be it too. It just seems like I can never have a non-leaky faucet! Once those leaks are fixed, you have to just leave the water faucet on all the time for the watering to be automatic, right? Weirds me out to think about leaving that valve open, but I guess if everything is leak-free then it'll be fine. Thanks for your help! I'm enjoying watching your garden take shape. I'm doing something similar, just a little every day. It feels slow-going with results, but I guess gardening teaches us patience! Thanks again

      @@introvertinspired1308 If ur leak isn't coming from ur faucet then I would start there.. U can pick up washers for only a few cents & it's a super easy inexpensive fix! Usually a leak comes from the attachments not reaching the washer inside the hose connection. Also, yes the faucet & valves must remain on to run automatically but shouldn't be an issue at all with no leaks! The timer is good at only opening up the water flow when scheduled to run. Hope this helps & thanks so much for watching! And yes I agree totally!! I have to keep reminding myself to slow down gardening is never ending & I can't complete it all at once! Happy gardening!🤗💚💚

    I feel like this is such an obvious question but for this to work I need to turn on the water at the spigot and leave it on right? The timer will turn it on and off?

      Ugh, I'm nervous about that part. I've never used this before. So, I assume that the timer uses pressure some kind of way to keep the water from actually staying on until it's time to run?
