It was great seeing the variety of your work. Very inspiring too. Makes me want to go and do some art. It's a good reminder that art can come in all shapes and sizes, and a variety of depths.
Thank you very much Chris for this video. I am very happy to see some of your larger works, also how some warmups from your sketchbook take shape on canvas. It would be nice to see a video of how your larger works on canvas come about. I also think it would be interesting to get a glimpse into your studio, especially while you are working. In any case, I am a very big fan and very grateful for all your ideas and inspiration. You are a great teacher for me, too bad you live far away. I live in Belgium Kind regards. Marc
Thanks so much, Marc! I'm working on a better set up so I can record myself painting larger pieces. My studio is quite small, so I'm having to adjust the lighting and camera positions. I will hopefully be able to post one of those in the near future. 😊
Hi Chris ! Been learning water color for past 3 years and then purchased a gelli plate that has totally consumed me. I watch all your videos and one of these days I'm going to get out my long brushes and knives and canvas and have a go with abstract art. I love your colors you choose and it just looks so freeing like being able to sing. Loved last years book great stuff. Thx
Hey Kate! Thank you! I love your perspective on painting looking "so freeing like being able to sing." I agree with you. I think you'll have a wonderful time creating abstract art! The great thing is that you can include your gelli plate and water colors as you create. ❤️
Thanks for sharing your work with us! I even love your pages that “didn’t work out” - they looked great to me. It was also awesome to see your larger canvas work! Tfs
Thanks so much, Yolande! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your live session yesterday. Being a newbie with the gelli plate, I picked up a lot of great tips in the short time I was on.
@@chrisloudart Thanks for coming to my Livestream Chris! That was my first time trying the Akua inks which was a very different thought process for me. I am much more comfortable gelliprinting with acrylics (which I love combining with pan pastels, alcohol inks, image transfers etc…) Have a great day!
I love the 2nd journal! And the large flower and large "rocks" ....you are inspirational! I can not wait until I have more space and have the ability to do larger paintings. Thank you for sharing!! 🖌️🎨
Thank you so much! ❤️Painting on larger canvases is an absolute blast. Makes me giddy thinking about it. I have very little room to paint big, but I make it work for me. I just can't sling the paint around as much as I would like to.
Well... I live with a friend and have very little space. I have done one 25x48 and it was great ...there is seriously no room. This soon will change!🙂and you are very welcome!
Hallo Chris, vielen Dank für diesen wunderbaren Einblick in deine Kunst. Das ist Inspiration pur für mich, wie auch deine anderen Videos. Herzlichen Dank und liebe Grüße Sabine
awesoem video!! have you done a video on paint skins? and please please show your video on the bronze painting! that is beautiful ... love how most of your paintings can be hung in pairs .. had no idea of the fluid mixed media paper! I must try....thankk you for sharing so much of your work!
Thank you, Kelly!❤️ Thanks for the feedback on the painting with bronze. I'll work on that video. I've done several videos where I use bits of acrylic skins, but I think these are the two that use the most: ua-cam.com/video/sBsZ9_WQvkE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/6H8KcOD8q4Q/v-deo.html
Hallo Chris, thank you for showing your fascinating art. My plan is to make a sketchbook und to take it with me in holidays and paint of course in it at home. Are you painting with acrylics? What is your inspiration ? Greetings from hanover, Germany
Hey Marion! Greetings from Napa, California (visiting right now). I primarily paint with acrylics. I take a lot of inspiration from nature, especially looking at items close up. What is your inspiration?
Hello Chris, I made many courses until 2019 in a house of art . But nowadays I do not like the paintings from former times in the beginnings. Now I like the abstracts, half abstracts and collages. I am motivated by UA-cam, and also of the nature. I have booked a online course, but I am a very new member and did not try a lesson. I can't imagine taking a painting course online. But there are offered several other themes, Videos and so on. Ist very very motivating, like your Chanel. Marion
Hey Nilda! I don't currently make my frames. These are Ampersand floater frames I purchased on Amazon - amzn.to/3WbKpRG. I know these are sold in art stores as well. My brother does woodworking and is planning on coming out next fall to teach me how to make frames. I hope to make a video of that for UA-cam. Until then, I'll have to buy them.
Loved the last one in the video, well it wasn't the only one, but my tired grey matter (brains new head wonder filler) really took that last one in, to me it was like a door being opened and you see more and more as it does so. Freud would say that's your repressed sexualality and yung would say rubbish its your yearning for adventure!!😆😆😆😆 I know I'm cracked and winter hasn't even begun😞😊
Thanks, Howling! I love the perspective of a door opening, but I think I'm going to go with Jung's interpretation. I'm literally about to board a plane headed to San Francisco for a little adventure😊👍
@@chrisloudart that's great! I hope you enjoy your adventure, I reckon yung would be right for me also, a pre winter adventure would be good 😄😄😄😄 I hope your adventure works out to be a lot of fun. Cheers!
@@chrisloudart official start of winter is June through to August, but my little slice of paradise has a micro climate going on so winter starts about midway in may and petters out in November. Tnx a lot for your videos. It cannot be better than these.
Thank you! That's so kind of you to say ♥️
Totally in awe Chris! Your sketchbooks are magnificent before ever getting to your larger pieces. Thanks for sharing.

@@chrisloudart thank you so much in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 they don't have big art stores. Here they make them from $75.00 up. I think this is to expensive.
Oh wow! Yes, that is expensive. I wonder if you could find a local woodworker to make you some frames for less.
