Amazing how it turns up! With few steps! Thanks for sharing. I like 1 and 4. 4like 4 figures/ persons sitting on a cable/ line and enjoying the horizon. Best.
Allo ! 😊 i use it sometimes....or biger brushes....my hand to ! I go with the flow of the moment ! And its à lovely painting ! I really like those shapes.....and i like all the orientation of it but maybe the last one is my favorite ! Merci pour la vidéo ! Have a beautiful afternoon or evening ! Today i had a moment to create and i make à red chicken ! With à big Brown eggs in her belly ! Semi abstract..... i have 7 chickens so i love painting them in all forme of abstract way ! 👋
The orientation where the shapes are pointing up is interesting, but my favourite is the original orienting. As always thank you for sharing your video and process. Cheers!
@@chrisloudart it's the kind of shape that wants to be bigger, but that's just me I think, I really like the boldness of the colours, maybe that's why I feel it wants to be bigger, like really big, mind you this is coming from a non abstract painter😊
Love it! Want to just keep looking at it. Orientation #2 maybe? Watching you create this has inspired me to try abstract. Thanks for all that you give Chris!
I liked the original orientation so much that I didn't think it would make sense any other way but something happened in my brain when you flipped it to orientation two that really appealed to me.
Hey, Sasha! Funny you say that because the original is my favorite, but I changed the orientation this morning to #2 and I almost like that better now. By the end of the day that might very well be my favorite.
Hi Chris, thanks again for a great video. I love the painting. The contrast is beautiful. The details look great and I love the colours. I smiled seeing the 3rd option. I quite like that it looks as if something is hanging on a string. The last option grows on me the longer I look at it. It reminds me of seals. 😉👏👍
Terrific image - invites so many interpretations. This one, I would like to see exploded and cropped. I especially liked the last orientation. Thank you, Chris.
@@chrisloudart Hi Chris, yes - I was thinking if the picture field was really large, the negative space might be too much of 'nothing' but, now I think I've changed my mind. Conundrum!
Another great demo. And a very unusual painting. Always get excited by the use of newspapers. Actually, one or two of my warm ups have been springboards and/ or practices for larger pieces. If nothing else, the warm ups are exactly that: getting the arm moving and hands doing. 😊
Cool painting! I like it with the shapes pointing downward the best, feels like a creature ripping through the wall to enter. But I am sure whichever orientation you decide on will be fab 👍
This one gets flipped around in my studio to different orientations quite often. 😊 I'll add that to my video list. With that said, I am still quite a novice when it comes to watercolor pencils.
Thumbs up!!! I like the this orientation, the shapes, the color combo... it looks pretty good to me. Thank you for sharing, I always learn when I see your videos. 😊
I like #1 or #4. #'s 2 & 3 felt wrong (maybe because I viewed you paint it as #1 orientation, :), not sure. Chris, your videos are all marvelous, I am inspired by each one, and you've really helped me break through to thinking of new ways to express myself through my own artwork. Thanks so much!
Love this, where you build off an idea from a warm-up painting. The newsprint peeking through catches the eye. I like the original orientation, personally. Thank you for the inspiration and letting us see into your process. I need to try out the watercolor pencil method😊

Thanks, Meriem! I like that perspective of #4 😊
Bonjour Chris 😊😊😊 j'adore merci à vous et à bientôt ❤❤❤
Bonjour, Martine! Merci❤️

Merci beaucoup, Sophie! I would love to see your red chicken painting 😊
Artisan sweet potatoes!😊
Haha, love it! Thanks, Cathy🍠

Thanks, Howling! That is my favorite orientation (at the moment) 😊 We'll see if it still is tomorrow. Cheers!

Thank you so much, Cheryl! #2 has definitely grown on me. I'm so excited for you to give abstract a try! Let me know how it goes😊
Upright! Looks very strong
Thanks, Ann!
Hanging down !
Thanks, Steve!
A little shape family!
A little family of sweet potatoes 🍠

Hey, Brigit! Thank you❤️ It does look like a family of seals, hadn't noticed that before.
Your style is fun and loose, which I love! Thank you for sharing techniques with us. I often try some of them and i love the results!
Thanks so much, Elsa!

Thanks, Ann! When you say "exploded and cropped" do you mean having the shapes take up more of the canvas? Cheers!

Thanks, Emmanuel! Newspaper can really give pieces such a unique and interesting look sometimes.

Thanks, Yolande! I thought something similar on that orientation 😊
It's a hard decision for which orientation on this piece.
I would love to see a video of your approach using watercolour pencils.

Thank you so much, impARTfect! So far this is the orientation I'm leaning towards.😊
I like orientation 1 and 4. 4 looks like some weird pears in a still life
Thanks, Becky! I can see those odd pears🍐🍐🍐

Hey, Luken! Thank you so much 😊 So far this is the orientation I like as well. I think you'll really like playing with watercolor pencils!
Disembodied lips. Inflamed tooth. Inverted disembodied lips. Sweet potato monoliths. 😂😂 Fun, but needs something more to ground the abstraction.
Haha, love it! Don't know why lips didn't cross my mind. I agree, it's missing something for sure. Thanks, Dawna😊
