This house would be more affordable yes.... but once you have a bed in those bedrooms not much space left.
I DO STILL PREFER TO SEE THE NEW FURNISHED, LUXURY HOMES... HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVE!! ... BUT ONLY UK LUXURY HOUSES....

Yeah that’s a good idea, we’re working on some more around the UK at the moment in the price range of £250k then around £500k as well as the luxury ones of course!

Entrance floor should be the ground floor. 1st floor technically means a floor built above ground level. So matts right on this one 😃
If there are three floors and the first floor is on the ground, it can also be called the first floor because it's the first floor. It's just a matter of preference between American and UK English.

Depends on the floor numbering system. In North America, a three storey building has a first floor, second floor, third floor. While in Europe, that same building is ground, first, second.

Yes it's overpriced, we sold a house similar to this last year for £270k in Essex on the outskirts of London

I love a variety of properties. Both luxury (where you can dream) and smaller. This looks a great size for a family starter home, with the price tag.
Matt you’re right (spot on in uk) basement (if there is one?), ground floor, first floor, second floor. Nice tour on a more modest budget, compared to your luxury tours. Great work both 👌

Houses like this make me feel so depressed. I just couldn’t imagine being happy living in such a lifeless dark house.
You would brighten it up with your own items, curtains, pictures etc. With the white walls you certainly have a blank canvas to work with. I found it quite light.
I agree. This house seems so closed in and dark. The floor plan is very badly designed in my opinion
Tbf, there are benefits to darker houses. The back of my house where the living room is doesn't get much sunlight, which initially put me off it, but I have since found out that that makes the room really nice and cool, even during heatwaves - a benefit which I have been very grateful for in past years.
It's not that dark. Plus, some benefits to homes with less light include a better ability to sleep during the daylight hours if you work the night shift.

Love the odd luxury house, but really appreciate realistic houses anywhere from auction 20k up to semi/detached. Maybes areas that get unfair bad reps but great locations eg coastal like NE
I have seen some building that are built on a slope that have a "lower ground" , "ground" , and "upper ground" floor , because you can enter the building from the ground from any of those floors.
So we have the bungalow, a one storey building, a two storey building and so on. So I agree with Matt. It’s the ground floor, 1st and second.
I would like to see new build around 250,000 to 350,000 modern house, any recommendations.

In Japan, the main entrance level is the 1st floor. For 250,000GBP (35,000,000JPY), we might be able to buy a decent three bedroom/ two-storeys house 90 minutes away from Tokyo. For the same price, we will likely only be able to get a pigeon-hole apartment in central Tokyo. I love British accent so all your videos get a BIG LIKE!
5:25 In my opinion I'd prefer that to be a regular cupboard with multiple doors because I can't imagine it is going to be easy to access the back corner when you have some stuff in there.

This is probably like 300k new build in south? A 4 bedroom version, 3 storey is 360k.. And basically if it’s not a new build then it’s a modest 3 bedroom house which is either terraced or a semi with a modest garden and maybe a small drive/ small garage.

A comparison of what houses you can get for your money up to the 200k mark would be really interesting. We all love to dream but realistically a lot of people can't and probably never will afford houses beyond 200k (at least from my own experience from a working class background). Always like to see what you can get for your money in different areas - overseas your money would probably go much further of course than in the UK.
Yes it’s ground floor 1st, 2nd etc etc. It’s nice to see what your money can buy in different parts of the UK, but saying that I like to see what you can get if you’re super rich. A mixture of price ranges are better one thinks. Keep the videos coming 👍

Glad you looking at both ends of the spectrum on price. Yes Matt is right with ground floor first, but Summer is also slightly correct as alot of people say 1st floor is bottom as it makes a tower seem higher with more levels. Love the vids guy's.

Properties in/just outside of London for £400-500k
My suggestion would be pick a house format, eg semi rural 4 bed detached decent house, then tour 3 or 4 houses of said format around the country comparing the price differences. Enjoying your content👍

Agreed. I recently made a purchase (first time buyer) in London Harrow. £370k for 1 bed flat new build. Around 450-470sqft (can’t remember exactly). Makes me sad that I could get bigger and better property outside London but that’s what you get I guess choosing London

This house seems really expensive for the Midlands!! A brand new 3 bedroom house over 3 floors will sell for about £150-200k where we are (Staffordshire) yet this is an older property!! Property prices are nuts, how are people meant to get onto the property ladder?? I love your tours, some of the houses are amazing, the knoll in Nottingham is my fave, it is perfect!!....

I would love to see comparisons across the country on what you can get for £300k for example, like the average price for a ‘normal’ (!!) family. Also, what you can get as a 1st time buyer across the country.

I would like to see a mixture of both luxury and small houses. Small houses exposes us to the kind of house an average person can live, in the U.K and the amount it would cost.

My house is a 3 storey townhouse. The ground floor /front door is at the top of the house with bedrooms at top. We then go down to the middle floor and then down again for the kitchen and living space. It’s built on a hill so they dug out the land. It’s great as from outside the house likes like a bungerlow.
I think you should view Oculus house in Barking, i rent here but i feel its overpriced but also its a round building shape with roof gardens! I think viewers would love your opinion on that.

It's a good home but the bedroom are small, I like large living rooms, kitchen with lots of storage and large bedrooms to fit a king size bed, 3-4 wardrobes, 3-5 drawers and some extra space.
I agree with you but don’t the prices go up to accommodate all those requests.😊

Yes, here in France we say the same, as in Germany or Italy. I think it's an European way.

Cambridge city is expensive, but homes in the wider county are relatively cheap compared to London and some other counties.
I'd prefer the presentation of more affordable houses, even though it's also interesting to have a look at houses one will almost never be able to afford them
I live in London. 250K won't get you much here, so you're getting more for your money in the East Midlands.

In Canada we say the floor you enter is the 1st floor then 2nd and 3rd thereafter. Plus a basement which many homes have.

Sometimes if a basement is largely above ground, it's called the lower level.

As a selling point, it sounds so much more attractive when you hear ‘master bedroom on the 3rd floor’ - gives it a wow factor that the home has 3 storeys, so I am with Summer on that one. Sorry Matt 😏

I call the entrance floor as ground floor because it's at the ground level and then 1st floor, 2nd floor etc
US American here. You enter a house on the first floor, go up a flight of stairs to the second floor. If you go down from the first floor that would be the basement. The area under the roof but above the highest living space is the attic.
