But, I am honestly not very good at filing my nails, and they tend to be thin, weak, and flimsy. So for me personally, this video has been a total godsend!!! SkyxQueen - Gaming Filing back an forth like a saw is not honestly good for your nails it causes small jagged tears in your nails ones you cannot see but they are there. christine is quite funny but i would not follow her advice when it comes to filing my nails.since i have been only filing mine in one direction i have “yet” to get even one jagged tear an i couldn’t be happier.😊😊

You just cant get your nails in water for long periods of time. Because Natural nails soak water and that turns them transparent...also nail polish gives them a yellowish tone
The drier your nails are the more white they are. It doesn't necessarily mean they are healthy I don't think, as long as your nails are transparent from oil and not water transparent nails can be healthy too.
I like to file my nails when they have polish on, this reinforces them, but as long as they aren’t wet, you’re safe from damaging them (unless you use a file that’s too rough). It’s worth shelling out $ for a quality nail file, not a dollar store cheapie!!!

Well right now i file them round since they are just barely getting long an have yet to peek over the edge of my fingers.and i only file in one direction with a glass file.

As far as I know filing the "saw" method actually chip and break your nails more. filing one way only is better for nail growth. And filing with a metal file is the worst for any nail.

It’s worth buying QUALITY nail files! They last longer, and don’t fray your nails. Glass files are great, or 240 grit, or higher, paper files.

Oof I am still so confused how to shape mine. Mine are kinda oval but sometimes also squarish and have very pointy corners :(
Mine too! Almost every nail is a different shape or a combination.

Well right now i file them round since they are just barely getting long an have yet to peek over the edge of my fingers.and i only file in one direction with a glass file.
My nails are only slightly thicker than paper and filing under the nail would probably cause them to break 😬
I came here hoping to disprove what it said on a Revlon emery board package that you're not supposed to go back n forth. Thanks, although I think I may need a finer file, I'm just trying to dull my nails after I cut them so I stop cutting myself lol.

As far as I know filing the "saw" method actually chip and break your nails more. filing one way only is better for nail growth. And filing with a metal file is the worst for any nail.
