I've worked on small engine since I was 18 years old going to be 58 soon I used to do that in the 90s and I had to replace a few main seals on the output side of the crankcase taught me a lesson sometimes it's just easier to warm up first
Good to know! Just something fun we thought of that seemed logical. Easy to let it drain the normal way when we have other jobs for the mechanics anyways.
Great way to add moisture to your engine too
The more psi the better! It really helps blow those crank seals out.
Speeds it up but definitely need to be low PSI. Ultimately something fun we did that we found sped the process up, not the best way to do an oil change.
Our walker mowers at work, we usually lift ‘em up tilting so the oil drains out. Using a compressor isn’t the smartest idea because you can be blasting a ton moisture into that engine
While this is an ok idea for experienced mechanics. You are gonna convince a bunch of people who don’t know what they are doing to try this and blow the crank seal out, governor seal, crank case gasket, and end up causing them to take it to a shop, just run your engine till it’s hot then drain your oil, it will drain faster when it’s hot.
I frigin love those hoodies!!!!
Don’t do this, you will eventually blow your seals.
Or you could... Use an oil pump?
So when the person who sees this, does it, from a line charged at 100 psi,( cause that's quicker)blows out seals and gaskets....who is responsible?
Obviously the person who did it
Get the engine running and warm and up you don't have to use air
Yea bad idea. You need to do an oil change when its hot, no cold oil.
Drain it, go to bed, next day, oil nice and drained. Refill and you're "golden" lol
Or just warm up the engine first
You can blow out Seals doing that. Don’t listen to this guy. Bad idea.

Save 10 minutes draining. Spend 20 cleaning the spilt oil.
I kid I kid !!! 😅😅😅😅
