My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHICANIC!
Thanks for ALL of your help and valuable info!
WE LOVE YOU! 🎉❤😊
Thank you for having the guts to expose Crapsman for what they are...and have always been.
Happy Birthday you beautiful lady
This is exactly the information that an informed consumer needs.
Love your wisdom. They are shafting the public if they do that or they’ve done it, omg . Difficult to match on some generators and others
U forgot to mention the junk plastic transaxle some cam with.
This greed is going to catch up with them, for example, a couple of years of bad tools has absolutely destroyed the craftsman brand. Same thing happened with Porter cable
Happy belated birthday !!! Now get back to work LOL ! Good video, keep it up.
There is nothing so satisfying as seeing a brand price themselves out of business
Hey now! Unless it’s something good, like Keebler Pizzarias, or the McD’s Arch Deluxe, or Noxzema shaving cream with Aloe!!! OR the Chaco-Taco. Bastards, the lot of them for taking away my memories! From my stomach!
I remember my wife getting pissed at me when I purchased a Badboy 8 years ago for $3800 it was a Badboy 48" MZ with the Kawasaki FR engine. 8 years lady mowing in east, TX it has never been in the shop yet for anything knock on wood. Just serviced it yesterday and replaced the blades. It has been a great mower so far, but this Badboy was hard to find with a Kawasaki I had to drive 2 hours to get mine. I will not touch any small engine unless it is a Kawasaki or Honda. I know what runs well and lasts a long time they cannot be beat.
happy birthday lovely lady..I hope you had a fantastic day.
I went to school for small engine repair. Graduated class of 80. I still have my first lawn tractor. Dynamark 1036.
The only reason I watch your Chanel is because you don’t bs; you repair things and give great advise….. I’ve watched because I like to learn
Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday young lady 🎉. Enjoy
I can't believe a woman tellinge how to fix stuff and it stays fixed.
You are a amazing woman.
Thank you.
You get the birthday and we get the present, watching your videos and getting a little smarter every time 🎂
Grow rock straight out of the ground 😆, that's great.
At 3.06 you have a quick shot of a Poulan Pro. Same type I bought at Home Depot six years ago. It lasted less than 2 hours before the whole rear end assembly blew apart. Nobody on the 1-800 number that both Poulon and HD gives you will work on it. So we called HD, and the assistant store manager said to bring it back, which we did. As we were unloading it, the employee helping said "hey boss, why are we getting so many of these back?" We ended up paying 200 bucks more and got a Cub Cadet that was a bit bigger. I have two acres of lawn to mow. Other than spark plugs, air and fuel filters being replaced, absolutely nothing has gone wrong. What a great mower and I definitely think it is a real value for the money spent!!
Happy Birthday - 19 AGAIN ! So enjoy your practical side of repair. I am 87 years old , live in a retirement home where they mow the grass, Trim the bushes and push all the snow for us (I live in central Illinois). But in years past I had all the power equipment and kept it running myself (when I could), but wish I had your channel then . Would have been a great help. Congratulations on your channel growth and thanks for a great show !
Happy Birthday Bre hope you live and long as you want and never want as long as you live,
Thats deep! But True......
Happy Birthday!!!!!!! Thank you for all you show us.
Happy Birthday, beautiful teacher of the masses.
I love humanity, it's people I can't stand.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy Birthday!! As Taryl says, MTD = Made To Die.
Happy Birthday Bre! Enjoy!🎂🌻🥀🌼💐🌺🌷🌹
Craftsmen doesn't listen to their customers and Husqvarna does. Thanks for that tip!
Thanks Bre for all your hard work, and precious consideration for sharing , your heart is priceless , HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YUUUUUUU, AND WE LOVE YOU TOOOOOO !! 😃❤️😃❤️
...I will not buy from manufacturers who are determined to rip off the consumer.....and thanks to professionals like you Bre to keep us informed, we know
just who they are.......please keep the DIY videos coming.....Happy Birthday!... 🙂
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRETTY GIRL 🤓🇺🇸👍
Happy Birthday, love the channel. Without your Chanel I wouldn't have been able to fix a weed Wacker echo, a pressure washer, Chainsaw. Love all that you do.
Have a very good birthday, my guess is 43.❤
Happy Birthday, Bre! Thanks for the videos.
It is a shame what has happened to the once-reliable Craftsman brand.
thank you for helping us mechanically challenged folks save time and money. love your videos, very informative and helpful. Got my Husqvarna rider going again thanks to you.
I live in rural Colorado mountains and got sick of crap mowers so my grandfather gave me his hay scythe/sickle .
That scythe clears faster than a mower and hasn't broken in 70 years of use.
Happy birthday, I hope your day is blessed with great family and friends.
Happy Happy Birthday. Imagine viewers appreciating well anything. But taking and accepting good advice game changer. Good work lady.
I’m proud of my impressive 1/270,000th contribution to your happiness! Yay you, Bre! 🆒
Happy birthday young lady!
Happy Birthday Beautiful Lady ❤
Wow! 274K in a year! You absolutely deserve it girl. Best to you. ❤
A blessed Birthday to you Bre.. I was a pretty good wrench turner before I ever found UA-cam. Now I am a handicapped old man and multiple trial and error attempts are not in my stamina levels. You have made my life easier.
Love your videos, grew up having to fix all our power equipment and motorcycles and I still pick up something from you. Thanks honey.
Happy birthday June baby!
Happy birthday.
Thank you for your honest, concern for my best interest, and your willingness to keep teaching us .
(So a bigger Thanks to your mom and dad.)
Thanks to this lovely small engine repair lady for her hard work sharing her experience with small engine repair for those who have no knowledge about their small engine equipment. Keep it up and keep posting more of your great works. Love from Minnesota.
You are an amazing young lady. Hope you have a great day.
Happy belated birthday. Ur one of my favorite channels.
You and Dony Boy have saved me lots of time and frustration!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!
Happy Birthday and thank you for helping us weekend warriors make better decisions on equipment and repair.
I love the mower yard lots of things.
Happy birthday. I'm watching this on my birthday.
Happy Birthday! There is nothing more satisfying than watching a professional perform their craft.
You shouldn’t be surprised by the amount of subs you get, you make great and informative videos that are genuinely helpful.
Now if she'd just learn how to say HUSKvarna instead of Hooskvarna..... It's pretty simple. They tell you exactly how to pronounce it in their commercials.
Finally someone who (almost) nails the pronunciation of Husqvarna
I bought a Troy Bilt Pony from Lowe's in 2008 and still going string only replaced singles once about 3 tears ago. Rebuilt carb once because jet stuck open anx fuel went crankcase. (Intalled fuel shutoff after that)! Wish I could send pictures of it, it still looks brand new. I wash and wax my mower every year and my own maintence. People have laughed because I wash/wax it till they see how old it is. I tell them I treat my mower just like you treat a woman. Treat her right and she take care of YOU! ;) Need to send a picture of it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉🎉🎉 with flowers 💐 too.
Happy birthday kiddo, lol. I'm very happy for your success. I wouldn't be surprised if it's because of your down to earth personality and blunt honesty as well as your willingness to share your experience filled knowledge. Thanks again for all you do.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag
Gruß aus Deutschland
Love the blooper, man we have all been there! Thanks for the golden info.
You are by far the best lawnmower mechanic! Happy birthday 🎉😊

Speaking of rocks, This whole state is a Rock! (West Virginia)
You are my go-to source for small engine service and repair. Lucky to have a dad that was very mechanical and able to repair most anything.
Happy Birthday, you are not getting older you are getting better!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!🎉 Have a great day enjoy it to the fullest!!🎉
Happy Birthday young lady
Happy birthday and a healthy one, 🎂🎁👏🎊
Actually on the spindles that have sealed bearings, all you need to do is pry off the bearing cover rings(cap) that face toward the grease zerk. Then the grease will eventually get to the bearings.
myself, carroni mowers are the same way. They will gladly sell you the extension hose to make it easier to grease your shaft ;-)
First of all “Happy Birthday” you’re the best❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for all you have done with your channel and videos. You have made such a difference in my life. You gave me the courage to start my own small engine repair shop. I only work out of my garage, but it is paying off and will be my business once I retire from being a human resource manager or as I like to call it a adult baby sitter. Happy birthday and hope you have many more.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Happy Birthday, I took a small engine repair class in high school and it has been invaluable to me and my family for fixing things, your videos are also a big help. finding out about the differences in the various brans alone has been a big help. The differences in the mowers you showed today reminds me of the ones on the new john deere s series, the 100-130 have the new "quick change" oil filters that cost $70, for the cost of 2 oil changes you can get the s140 that has a bigger, thicker deck, and a traditional oil filter costing $10.
my 1986 craftsman is still going strong.a yearly maintenence schedule goes a LONG way.if you neglect the maintenence, then you deserve what you will get.
Talk about stuff hiding in longish grass! Last year I found a missing coulter off my plow, with my brand new Country Clipper Z- turn mower. Cost me $300.+ to get that repaired. Kudos to the guy I bought it off, he picked up the mower, took it to his shop and had it back to me within the week.
Happy birthday Bre. And thank you for being here for us.
Happy Birthday Bre! You have earned all of those subscribers through the quality of your videos. Thank you!
You are sincerely welcome!!!!
As a teacher, this is a very instructive channel with high information density, which I frequently share with students. Additionally, it helped me fix my more modern non-flathead Briggs pushmower carburetor with the $15 part. Your knack for explaining small engine equipment more clearly than most channels makes me say, Thanks!
Happy Birthday!!! Been buying from a local authorized Husqvarna, Toro, and Echo dealer for years. They have been so good to me when it comes to DYI service and fixes with information and guidance. Seeing that I was willing to tackle a problem they gave me advice instead of simply saying bring it in. Price difference between them and the big box stores was so miniscule if any. So thankful the local dealers.
My local Husqvarna, Toro, Echo dealer charges an arm and a leg for everything and won't give out any information..... Cost me $35 for a head gasket for a B&S engine that I used to pay $5 a piece for back in the late 90's..... Asked them how much to fix the B&S engine for me, cuz I was feeling lazy and they quoted me $500 to remove and replace the valves and keepers and re-assemble the engine (I had already disassembled). All of 15 minutes worth of work.....$500. Then when I said no, they told me a new engine would cost upwards of $1500.....lol
Happy birthday Bre!
God bless you and your family❣️
Girlfriend, you are the best! You call a spade a spade. 'Cupcakes' aren't able to take your truths. Thank you for all you do.
Happy Birthday and Thank you!!! You have saved me money numerous times on stuff I have repaired myself.
Happy Birthday! By the way, I'm mechanically inclined. I've fixed probably more than 95% of problems I've had with equipment. The only time I sent something out was when I didn't have the equipment to do the job or a pit to change 25# of hydraulic fluid. I loved working on stuff and learning how it worked. I do want to say, I continue to learn things from you! Thank you!
Happy birthday girl!!! Thank you for what you do!
one happy birthday to you young lady and two you are good i like your show its good
Enjoy watching your informative videos young lady.
Happy Birthday young lady, keep up the good work, thank you for what you are doing.
I appreciate what you're doing. You've helped me more than anyone else. Ive always owned MTD. But ive got to get a new mower soon and will not get another one! Happy Birthday!
Which probably puts you rowing the same boat I am, what do you replace it with?! Everything seems like overpriced junk.
@@jameslovitt994 I honestly don't know right now.
Buy something older with Low Hours
MTD builds CubCadet, Craftsman and others.
I think you are great. You and my youngest would get along. She's always helping someone work on any kind of equipment from farm equipment to everyday vehicles.
Sorry for the late birthday wish, but hope you had a great day!
The sealed bareings will grease. The pressure from the grease gun WILL push grease passed the seal. You can find a UA-cam video on it.
dumb
The same way a doctor says “the baby will come out, just push!”
When I put a new spindle in with the grease zerk, I pull it apart and check the bearings. If they have the sealed caps on the inner part of the bearings, i pop the bearings out and remove one side of the seals, then install with them facing in so they will take grease.
@@dave1135 I've heard you should leave the inner seals in there.
Sorry Matt, BTDT got the T-shirt! It didn't work. All it did was to press the metal plate on the side of the bearings into the balls, binding up the bearings quite tightly. I relieved the pressure by removing the zerk fitting and all was well after that. Plus, lubrication of bearings is a science and there are people who spend their entire career working on just this. Adding your auto parts store grease to whatever the OEM has chosen, may not work well, as there are different chemical makeups of grease and some are incompatible with each other.
Happy Birthday! I love your channel!
So, here in Florida (and much of the South), fishing is a way of life. Outboards are crazy expensive and can take months to get repaired. Lately, a lot of guys have been converting to "gator tail" or "swamp motor" designs where they hook a Harbor Freight lawnmower engine to a long tail kit so they have a 100% air cooled outboard. The idea is the engines are so cheap that it is worth replacing the engine out every 4-6 years rather than paying a marine mechanic to fix a 20+ year used outboard. Kits vary. Some high end kits allow you to even spin the motor all the way around for full-powered reverse.
Would you consider doing a "project build" where you build a boat engine from one of these kits and tell us all the pitfalls you see from a small engine mechanic's point of view? You could then sell it to recover the money.
No
Someone already did it. Look up v twin boat motor
Bre yanking the handle off a starter rope.....cool - lol
HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belated) - I Hope you had a great day!
Happy Birthday!!! Have a wonderful day. I enjoy watching and learning.
Happy Birthday Bre! Keep up the AWESOME content.
Congratulations on another successful orbit! Love watching the show. I'll probably not work on an engine, but I love watching and learning about them.
Hope you had a wonderful, blessed day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Appreciate your videos!
Spoken like a true mechanic good job 👍
Congrats on your success! You have great content that is relevant to so many of us. This is great and we appreciate it!
Happy birthday Bre! You have a great channel. I'm not the least bit surprised it grew as fast as it did. Keep up the good work young lady!!
Happy Birthday and Thanks for all you do for us help our self.
