I am sorry but you didn't explain the main principle behind PBR. The idea behind it is not that you use different maps for the material properties but that its a different type of shader altogether (originally using a metalness setting, now vray has a PBR version with glossiness setting) And the reason why the bump in the "PBR" version of your tutorial is nicer is because its a propper normall map. If you used a normal map in the "non-PBR" material in your explanation it would look much nicer too.
jan duda Exactly. Pbr is more about using shaders with physically based versions instead of mixing shaders or using them artistically. Pbr materal is both about shader and texture, not just about using Pbr textures
Thank you. It would have been more helpful if you used the same diffuse map for both materials in the start, but used the rest of PBR textures to show how they differ from the one you can fake using only the diffuse texture.
The normal map should be loaded in gamma 1 (it should appear pale blue in the preview) Look like the Corona normal node is correcting it for you ? Specular (reflection) and Glossiness (or roughness) map should also be loaded in gamma 1.0 (if they're done properly)
can we get the video about how to make material using PBR textures manually, not with that polygon script which makes texture automatically mam, can we get a video for wood, fabric, and different materials which are used in interior visualization ???
Hi AGNI E S ZKA & ADAM KL I CH towards the end of the video there is the option under displacement where you reduced the maximum value to control the displacement amount. Where is this option under vray?

Hey thanks for the tuts. Am using V RAY 5 and it doesn't seem to have the option to tweak the displacement values (MIN & MAX) am very frustrated by this since I cant follow along. any help maybe
I like all ur videos.. It has helped me a lot.. I hav 2 questions for u.. 1) wats d render time difference in % between corona & vray for same scene 2) wats d average rendering time per frame in corona for say full hd resolution on ur personal desktop.. I know it varies from scene to scene but i m asking for a normal scene
Vray is faster no matter what but corona is more intuitive and easier to learn IF you don't intend to do heavy scenes corona is the way to go but if your scenes will have millions of polygons then try vray.
I'm Such a big fan of your work and I've been learning so much from your videos!! Thanks for the content! It would be awesome for me if I can get some feedback from you!
HI! But you are comparing a bad quality photoof wood, with 4 textures coming from a web with photogrametry... It is not an example of PBR maps, but just an unfair comparation I reckon... Try to compare maps that are not PBR but they come from old libraries, with the new PBR maps. It will be more fair. Thanks
Where is the PBR in 3d max? I see only the Crown of PBR in 3d max! Where is 3d max + PBR?! You could have inserted a video from Marmoset Toolbag here, nothing would have changed!
I am so sorry, I watch your eyes more than the video. They are really beautiful, of course you are also very beautiful. I hope what I wrote didn't bother you. | I wish you continued success

Świetne wyczucie czasu. Właśnie zgłębiam temat PBR i zaczynam z Substance Paint, Designer, Alchemist. Jest łapka i sub. Pozdrawiam
haha... Super, cieszę się, że filmik był pomocny :)

Yes. Corona can make it.
In poligon when I select the folder where all the PBR textures are, it says no materials found. Any thoughts?
Ohh boy, was waiting for this for soo long.

can you teach a workflow substance painter to 3ds max corona
Ciekawi mnie tylko gdzie mam dodać mapę AO :( czy zrobić mix z diffuse czy composite?
Może być corona / vray mix lub composite, musisz mieć mode multiply i AO na górze :)

Nice informative one as always. 😊😊
please make an "HDRI maps" video
maybe day/night rendering ??
I will think about this :)
Yeah I also agree with this
good idea
great.thanks for video
Could you show the same but on an example of metal texture with metalness workflow? :)
Thank you very much!
amazing - you are just awesome
Wouldn't reflection color always be maxed out if it was PBR?
Super nice. Would you use only Corona materials when use Corona render?
It works the same in vray
Perfect as always. Thank you!
Thank you too!
🎉🎉 is it same method in vray
Thanks!
Hi there! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to add purchased materials into the Corona library?
when I choose a folder in polygon converter still it shows no material selected...anyone can tell a solution
very accurate and perfect explaining!
