Hello, from Argentina, I have spent many years with 3D and watching tutorials. I wanted to thank you because it really is one of the channels that provides the best and most useful information to followers. The tips and tricks seen here are difficult to find on other channels. Thank you very much and we look forward to more tutorials day by day!
Hey! I use Maya instead of 3DS Max and I still find most of your videos very helpful, including this one. The concepts pretty much remain the same and they help me achieve better results.
The lighting & other tips & tricks are GREAT they transcend beyond render engines even software and craft/discipline eg animation, photography, etc YES, I'm I would love to see more of these!! . GREAT CHANNEL!!
This technique is so simple but so universal that it will always work on any render engine that supports GI, thanks for sharing your time and explanation with us. I really liked the way you explained it.
Cool idea photographers have been using this method for ages they usually have big white or black panels in the studio to bounce the lights around the subject
Photography techniques in archviz and really appreciate you teaching these to others, i see my fellow batch mates struggling to create good renders as they have little to no knowledge about lightning, composition, framing or anything related to photography or cinematography make it look like work from peter mckinnon... well maybe not as good as him, lol.... but yeah.. please keep uploading this kind of awesome techniques you are doing great deed to archviz community. thank you.!!!! p.s. sometimes i like to add a lens filter effect by making a glass material and replicating my fav. filter with 50-70 mm lens....
Thank you, I'm really happy you appreciate the videos. :) I totally agree, I have the same feeling. Thanks for sharing your approach! P.S. I'm a big fan of Peter too ;)
Great information! Thanks about that. I just have the question if the plane alters somehow the lighting because it casts shadows behind it... right? Some tip about that? Thanks in advance
Hello, would a reflective mesh or a 2nd fill light provide faster render times? This lighting trick is great and I'm wondering if it renders faster than a fill light doing the same thing. Keep the tutorials coming.
Daniel reflection would determine how 'sharp' the reflections are. In other words with zero reflection it just means it would be a very diffused reflection. Think in line of surface properties when considering reflection. e.g a rock's surface properties would scatter ( reflect ) the light in all directions due to the micro surface being very coarse. A mirror on the other hand would have a perfect surface and the light wont scatter all over the place and reflection in a perfect angle in angle out. Hope this makes sense. TL:DR Light hits an object and some of that light gets absorbed and some of that light gets reflected, how that reflected light behaves depends on the surface of the object
I'll think about this topic. I'm really happy to hear that it's easy for you to follow (as this is my goal 😀). For now, if you are interested in creating vizualizations with use of V-Ray, you can check our Arch Viz Artist Training (link in the description). There are 7 interiors in this course. 😀
We wood love to see more and more tutorials...i have one question...now a days blender is very popular...so as a archviz artist and 3ds max user...can i go for blender and learn everything...what is the futur?
What would be the differece between this and using some "plane" lights (or how are they called in Corona)... The effect here is more subtle than you would ever get with lights (even on super low intensity?) or is the only difference that this technique (i assume) is faster to render (lights) are more hardware/render time demanding?
We would love to see many more tricks like this one!!! Thank you so much for your time and help!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🧡
You're welcome! Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏻

It was great
Love your tricks always.
Thank you! Cheers!
great video....i am 3d visualizer but i never use this tric...... big like to your video, be connected
Thank you for the tricks. I would like to know how this works if reflection level is at zero.

Can this one trick change the whether colour too???? As you have shown in this video it is only changing the colour of objects........
Hello Ava !
i would like to ask how much resolution is enough for final renders . Thank you !
Typically 5000 px (longer side) is enough :)
@@ArchVizArtist thanks !
We wood love to see more and more tutorials...i have one question...now a days blender is very popular...so as a archviz artist and 3ds max user...can i go for blender and learn everything...what is the futur?
Majority of free models are in .max model form, some rarely in .fbj or .obj but still often import into blender gets difficult.
More TRICKS! MORE TRICKS!
Thanks. good idea 🤗🙏🤙

what is your system configuration?
In description..
it's good.
Hi! This is a simple pan (rectangle ) white color ? Not a area light ? i'm not sure.....Thx a lot . Yaya °)
Yes, correct, these are just the simple planes. It's about reflecting the existing light, not adding extra light :)
