Fantastic quick tutorial! You're def my favorite teacher on youtube. :D
Oh I’m so happy to hear it! 😊🧡 thank you!!
as a tip, I see your normal map dark purple, the normal and displacement map must to be in gamma 1(lighter purple), you can check when you open the bitmap menu
Well explained..easy to understand and remember..to the point and precise.. thank you for this amazing video..not everyone has this skill..you're my favorite teacher from now and the simply best..
Oh that’s so sweet! Thank you!!
nice one! :) just a tip... you can simply create a normal or bump map in photoshop from a diffuse texture. go to filter-> 3d -> generate normal or bump map :)
does normal or bump map is same ??
You are the best tutior I've ever watched on youtube. So simple and understandable.Keep doing things like this. LOVE U !!!! 😍🤩
Wow, thanks!
amazing, you clear very commonly mistakes thanks, beginner to pro tuts is due.
Great tutorial thx:) i dont have V ray plugin but i still enjoy it and learn lot of things.
Thank you for explaining in very easy to understanding way...pls make more videos in slate material and how to use them properly at different parts of architectural and interior scenes ..plsss
Thank you for this tutorial
You clear my all doubts .
Really glad to hear that!
Nice Tutorial..It might be good for people watching to see render time differences; between bump/Normal and displacement. Displacement can be a killer on an entry level machines.
Yes you are right. I'll do that in an upcoming video.
Great tutorial!! You are pulling me out of my shell with Vray. Your scene is pretty sweet also.
Awesome! Thank you!
Please give more clear video on V-ray material as I am very new on this subject
You are an amazing tutor!! Thank you so much.
Belive me it's amazing, I like your channel nikita ❤
Thank you so much :))) Really happy to hear it
you are the best teacher ..keep it up Margarita
Wow, thank you! :)
love your channel and i learn a lot from it , but i have a doubt and i kindly expect a clarification of my doubt from you....how to apply this same PBR material in COMPACT MATERIAL EDITOR .could please get video on that too......
Oh Sreshma, get away from the compact editor. It's utterly useless by comparison to the slate (real) material editor. I understand when you look at it for the first time, the node based editor may seem confusing and intimidating, but it's an entirely different universe of power and possibilities in there compared to the compact editor. I promise you, that if you take a solid hour to understand it, the node editor will make sense to you. It is very simple after you look at it for a bit and almost all software now uses something like that to create materials.
Thank you so much! You have saved my final project ❤️!
I’m sooo glad to hear that!
This was really useful, many thanks
please make detailed tutorials for fabric wood and velvet material

You're welcome!
Thank you for your video. It was a great help
Mam plz make a tutorial on leather material
Can you do the same video concept but for the fabric material in your scene.
Much appreciated
great video 🙏🏻
Thank you 🙌
I appreciate that this may have been a tutorials to cover the basics for an absolute beginners, but even so, there are some crucial information missing and the workflow shown isn't the correct one to achieve the intended results. Bump/Normal/Height/Displacement maps shouldn't be gamma corrected. This can be achieved either overriding gamma when importing a bitmap (value 1), or, my preference, using a VrayBitmap and set up the appropriate type in the color space transfer function. Missing this step can create unwanted results, like shown in this video. Also, the 'distortion' artifacts that you mention @7.40 have little to do with the displacement amount, but mostly with the quality, resolution and depth of the bitmap used (in this case all three aspects of the images were very poor). And of course, a better result can be achieved using the VrayDisplacementMod.
discovered your channel , very helpfull thanks !
Thank you so much, great video as always 🙏🏻
Thanks!!! Glad you liked it!
Hello Margarita Thank you very much for the tutorial. For Applying bump , if we don't have bump map , can you explain more clear please. Because the way you explain its quite difficult to understand

Please make a video about slate material editor.. im quite a beginner, its quite confusing how to manage and find materials. Thankss!
Sure! I know the feeling! When I went from Compact to Slate it was hard for me as well, but hands down Slate is way better to work with. I'll try to make a video on this the coming days
Margarita Nikita Hi thanks for ur kind reply! Luv ur tutorial tho :)
thank you ............ your pc or laptop specifications please..... it will help me lot ... to buy
Hi girl, great video! But I am afraid I should say that I m still confused! You showed us the function of each map separately, and it makes me feel like we can just ignore using all of them on the same texture at the same time, but instead, just using one of them, because you didn't apply all three maps at the same time. But indeed, there should be some samples that we need to use 3 of them at the same time, right?
mam, we are already subscribed.nice class.thank you.....
Thanks and welcome!
U R THE BEST ONE....!
:)) thanks!!
Thank you so much mam its very helpful video
You are welcome!
You're the best😭
Thank you very much for the tutorials Margarita Nikita. Really helpful in learning. Started texturing and learning about it recently, your tutorials have helped a lot. However a question what is the difference between using Compact material editor and this Slate Material editor? Do we achieve better render quality using the way you applying materials?
Q
very nice margarita
Thank you so much
A really useful videos, thanks Alot.
I do exterior renders atimes and creating realistic roof tiles is a big challenge for me, will you be kind enough to make a video addressing this?
love your tips keep it on
Thanks, will do!
Thank you for sharing knowledge 👍🏼
Sorry for late.

Hello, plz make detail tutorial about using bump, normal and displacement map for the exterior rendering in daylight. Especially in wall.. I am tried numerous thing but wall does not look realistic..
I'm only doing interior renderings, I don't do exteriors unfortunately.
@@margaritanikita Ok.. NP! Thank you for reply...
Thank you
Most welcome!
Shouldn't you use Vraybitmaps, normal maps in Raw rgb mode and VrayDisplacement modifier?
thank you, mam.
THANK YOU
Mam as I started working on 3ds max few years back. I want to know that the materials used in the interior project is decided by whom? I mean if I put some downloaded texture on the wall and show to client and if that texture material is not available in the market. Then my 3d view is totally different from the realty. Sorry for bad english. Hope you understand my question. Waiting for reply.
Thank you
You're welcome!
Hi~ Im your Student From Udemy. Thanks for your useful video. but do you have do some tutorial about bercon tile? Im quit confused when i used bercon ile. Thanks .
how to increase the quality of displace map (not image but quality of polygone)?
hi
if an object is on placed on top of the displaced surface
how to fix that overlapping of the displaced texture on the other object
please advise
thanks alot for this video but there is ao map , how to use it
Is there a high poly count needed for the displacement to work? I assume it's not just a single poly plane.
Can't controlle the displacement map size when using it on a different texture map? like wrinkles displacement map on a cloth texture, how do we controlle wrinkles size, not shift nor the amount but the size of wrinkles on the cloth texture?
Hello, I can't see the 3ds max vray bump effect when I render the material. Although the bump effect is visible in the material preview, a flat surface is formed in the render. What can I do in this situation? I'm waiting for your help.
I thought displacement map and hight map are same. But you not used it
Nice mam
Thank you❣
You are welcome!
unfortunately displacement is bad in max 2016, uses so much memory that the computer crashes on even simple things. same with vraydisplacementmod. has that gotten better in later versions?
Hey i have a question
Should I download the materials in JPG or PNG
What is better?
Download from CCO textures site
Hi i just want to know why we use purple color bump sometimes. It is necessary to use that or what? Plz reply
How to tiling the bump map??
whats the use of normal map ?
Thank you 💕🙏🏻
You're welcome!
Your explain exelant
Thank you so much 🙂
mam
i am student plz tell me ur system specification?????
Thanks 😍
Welcome 😊
U r Awesome.........
:)) thanks!
Someone, please share a website to find textures like these. Thank you
I have uploaded a video on the free websites I download textures (and 3D models), so feel free to check it.
can i do this to single entities
and then use the (image)maps[wraps]
for import into my game engine,
alongside the respective assets(meshes/models)?
I'm afraid I can't help you on this. I only use 3ds Max (& V-Ray) for interior renderings, so I have never exported my scene in other formats.
Can you tell me your system configuration
Please check the end screen of my latest video. I have uploaded a screenshot there
PC Specs?
Please share your pc ram or cor

can anybody help me to make clear glass in vray max ?
ua-cam.com/video/RNDll7Vle-w/v-deo.html
now look at this: you are hot, and so is this 3ds max 2020... (unlike blender and that douchebag who rushes thru his tuts)
hmmm seems too good to be true, will have to see more of your videos. :3
:)) agh I don't use blender, so I can't really compare it to 3ds Max
Good vedio information 🥰
