Hmm, actually all spline\loft objects have imbedded UV system(and its veeery good, almost procedural), but I had try this case and find it very interesting
Aga, thank you for such simple and clear tutorials! Can you tell me how to add logo (black letters) to the main texture of metal on the knife? What kind of information should I learn?
try the F4-key and/or the F3-key! It changes the viewport-display. You can do that also by clicking in the upper left corner of your viewport to change the display.
I have a contoured roads, side walks, and curbstone liked with Revit model that I need to map follow. I don't have a premade spline and making one will cost time. is there an other way around?
If you loop the selection of your road edge, you'd be able to quickly create spline from your geometry. something similar in this video ua-cam.com/video/vvQ10zxh9Uc/v-deo.html
No, you cannot: "Use the UVW XForm modifier to adjust tiling and offset in existing UVW coordinates. If you have an object with complex UVW coordinates already applied (such as a Loft object, or a parametric object with generated coordinates), you can apply this modifier to adjust those coordinates further." Maybe you've got object already mapped correctly and you just need to adjust it.
@@ArchVizArtist when i watched your video a tried to do the same thing just by using UVW XForm modifier, and i did it, just u must create your shape ( in this example the path) with sweep or loft or anything else that have ( generating mapping coordinate), all u need just check it and u can play with adjusting the scale,.. so on
Can you show how to texture a terrain mountain? I have a large scene and when i assign a 2m x 2m texture map, the map become enlarged and looks blurry. I keep adjusting the texture map tilling but no working
@@Khrizsrage i used the free form tool to create a mountain scene. Used megascans material to vray material. Assigned vray material to my mountain geometry without the uvw modifier. The texture sort of stretched and very blur. I am new to 3d program.
You can also generate mapping coordinates inside of the line or the sweep to skip the UVW unwrap step :)
Yeah 😂that's what I usually do for curved surfaces
That sounds good, how to do that exactly?

I didn't know about uvw xform... what a great modifier! thanx!!
wooowwww. That's a new modifier learnt after 5 yrs of 3d max....Thank you very much....
I've been a 3D visualiser for over a decade and you're the first female visualiser I encounter! About time! thanks for the tips and keep it up!
Oh! We're over here and there... but I guess we should press "render hidden" 😊
Thanks!
Wow :D Thank you!
You give all the best tips. I have done different materials and not use xForm transformes. I'll try this, and it will help a lot.
hi, i'm anwar. from Yucatan in Mexico. I love your videos. Thanks a lot
It's so interesting coming from game design and having worked in arch vis how there's hardly any interaction with the UV editor for Arch Vis.
i encourage you, continue
you totally renew my max skill
Thank you, this is what I was looking for!
Nice, simply good.
Danke, das ist großartig - Thanks, that's great
Wow Great way to explain, I really appreciate your talent. Thanks for sharing...
Great video. It saved my time a lot. Thank you.
Thank you so much, very usefull tutorial!
Thank you.. May i ask you what's the second row in the top menu bar? Looks useful plug-in.. Just curious 😅🌹
If you find that bar, let me know
Thank you very good info
please make a tutorial about (world-scale) mapping
Always the best.... Thank you
Very very good.
How do you spline map an object with messy polygons, unwrapping spline planar always seems to cause create a mess.
Thank's! Good job

If its just letters on flat texture adding them to the texture in Photoshop will be sufficient.
that was suuuper useful!!!!!
more more unwrap !!!! Masz kursy unwrapa od początkującego do zaawansowanego ??
SIIP...jOSSS...very Great Tutorial
good tutorials!
great tutorial, very useful for those ones that use 3ds max for urban planning visualizations and not only.
huge help, thanks!
IT WAS GREAT THANKS
I'm in love! =)
Great tutorials!
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
very helpful, thanks
can you explain how to unwrap after you put uvw xform on it
Great tutorial, my road gets wider i the middle, this distorts the splin mapping what to do? thanks
good technique
Thanks a lot
you are the best
Maybe roads should be a bit irregular and bumpy to make them look more realistic
Great 👍
Great 👌
Perfect!
AWESOME BUT WHAT IF WE HAVE INTERSECTION ??? PLZ ANSWER
Yes..... Gud video..
ok ok but how about mapping a y junction on a road ? if you can solve that one ill tip my hat to you
how do I make the lines visible when in the unwrap uvw? because, I made is not visible.

How to unwrap then it is crossroads with 3 or more road which meet?
cool
Hi, how to make unwrap the crossroads??
Thanks

but u can do the same thing just by using UVWxform with out unwrap modifier.

try to apply a UVWMAP modifier. and then adjust your tiling
@@Khrizsrage you are amazing. It works. Many thanks
