2 years later....... thank you Tyler, you make more sense than any other of the 20 videos I've watched searching for answers on Zoom recorders. I'm 81, Classical guitarist playing Latin music, my kids and two followers demand I leave them something of myself when I kick the bucket, so thanks for helping me out here. Cheers, greetings from Down Under and BTW your singing is pretty cool, you're playing the right chords and your guitar's in tune too. Take care. P.S. Love the doggie shots.
The Zoom audio is class. So much richer sounding than the other two cameras @ 9:13. Thanks for the great review. Even if you close your eyes you can hear it so much better.
Your enthusiasm and honesty alone has me sold on this camera...still gonna do a bit more research, but I have a great start, thanks to your work....and yeah, I've subscribed! Thank you!
Amazing review and great sense of humour. Thanks to your review I got myself the Zoom video camera. Didnt skip any Advert as a token of appreciation! Kudos
I got your professional review, comparison to multiple hardware, and visual and audio testing in various environments. You did great, and I've decided what I need to go with on the fly.
Great Video. I have had the Q2N HD camera for over a year. in fact 6 of them for shooting bands. They came out with the 4K of course when I invested all the money in the 6. Now I have 5 of the 4Ks. I love using them for music and me the only camera man with a wide camera and a cutaway close up camera. Works out well. Thank You for your time making comparisons.
Same here! The 4K came out just after I got the Q2N to record guitar lessons. But no regrets. Love it for the audio I could send to my teacher in lockdown, and for recording my own lessons to see if I’ve improved. Teacher thought the audio was terrific compared to those other students sent from phone mikes. Picture not as good but he could see enough to critique my technique properly… ;) My other half tried it as a webcam during lockdown but it wasn’t great due to battery life. But it’s main gift is audio and it excels there. And is so cute we just chuck it in the backpack when we’re out and want to video w/o draining phone battery.
I do a show exclusively with the old camera, streaming to FB, and it works just fine. I came here looking to see the difference between the old one and the 4k. They seem the same with the exception of 4k. I only stream in 1080, so may be a wash.
Terrible as a web cam, terrible fro streaming. I returned mine. Presets (scenes) simply ugly. Don't even think using it with low light. Not even with decent indoor light. It's not a camera. It's a good mike with terrible video.
Tyler, I have one already (Q2n -4k): love it; been just shooting over the last almost year, footage that I'm stacking up for a documentary... wouldn't that be cool! A whole doc filmed on the Q! We loved your tutorial. You're a good, funny man who makes learning fun!
Except for your small belching in the mic in the intro lol, I thought your video of what this camera can do, is probably the best on youtube so thank you very much. Excellent job. And great video and audio examples. And thank you for the short acoustic and singing performance of Country roads , the sound and video quality is quite impressive and your performance was pretty Good too, nothing to be embarrassed about. So thank you. I hit like AND SUBSCRIBED to your channel . Scott
A very practical review (which I appreciate). And I particularly enjoyed the singing lesson - as I wasn't expecting that (your upper voice register sounds really well - I guess this means the lessons were a success).
Your review of the Zoom Q2N 4K is so far the most detailed and comprehensive among all others that I've seen. Thank you for this! Im planning to buy one soon. New sub here
OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW! I'm majoring in Music, and I wanted to buy a zoom but I was confused which one that I should buy.... Now I definitely gonna buy this zoom...
I am a paranormal investigator and have used Zoom digital recorders for years with great results. Gonna have to get one of these for an all in one camera with quality audio.
Thank you for this! I had no idea the Zoom Q2N existed that might be my next youtube/vlog camera! Packed with the EXACT information i was looking for! Got a new sub this content is awesome and nice performance also!
@@physixger Zoom is company that caters musicians, all of its products are designed for musicians. I think they haven't thought of the image stabilization when they designed the camera for musical purpose. Having an image stabilization features would be cool though.

definitely not the BEST video camera. But, totally makes up for it in that sound test. It was the clear winner. I am making a series about horn and this camera is going to be the perfect tool for it. Thank you so much!
Great content! I have the original Q2n and love it. I am considering adding the 4K version to my kit now that so much of my classroom and private lesson teaching has to move online due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Thanks for the helpful video!
I was looking up info on the zoom. I never heard of it until I came across one of your vlogging comparison videos. I loved the info, entertainment and your humor. Subbed.
I thought your guitar and voice were good! I also like how you set up the comparison to two other devices and gave a good idea what the q2n-4k can do, thanks as it's a big decision for me!
Thank you Tyler. I have the old model Q2n and I used it to record Ideas without having to set up the pc and more gear. Anyways thank you for reviewing it. It is a nice camera that have been unnoticed.

This was so helpful! Thank you so much for making this video. I just purchased this camera and used it for the first time yesterday. Audio was great but I was using it in low light so the picture was a little grainy. The video is not make or break for me though. Quick comment. This is a really good camera for recording a live music performance because of the awesome mic system.
