Looks like it would use some parts the same as the eachine e58 and it sounds very similar. The camera although does record a bit better and takes better photos than the eachine e58. Good flight time
Haha...yes, the snow. On top of that we've had record low temps. Oh well, makes me appreciate spring, summer and fall even more. Thanks for stopping by and God Bless you as well my friend.
Very Nice video, very good editing ,really nice quad and a good tip with the flip ,and as usual informative and entertaining ,keep up the good work 👍😎👍I'm not just saying that
Is there a protocol for the jumper on this quad?some times I just like to take pictures not video.if you tell me the jumper will work on this for more range so I don’t lose it. I’m in!!cool review thanks for sharing the info!or maybe you have something better then this one for me!
I'm not sure about this one; I haven't looked into it much. I don't fly the toy grades as often as I used to, but I do really like this one. If you're looking for something to rip around though, I recommend the Bugs 3 Mini.
A good review Gadged Inspector. The camera is indeed very good. I started with a Hubsan 502E, perfect flyer, poor camera. I tried to correct that but ruined the quadcopter. Now I fly a Spark and of course this drone is something different. No problem. Good review, perfect camera indeed. Thanks for posting.
Nice input and general description of drone. Yes, it's a "TOY" drone, and it does take good pictures (for the money!) . The Syma X11C and Eachine E53 take about the same quality photos/videos---They are NOT as stable as your JJRC JD-20, though! Great video you do, and keep up the Good Work for some of us just learning to fly drones. (Ps: I'm down to 35 drones now, and getting back into R/C Planes!) Haha!
Wow 35!? That's a pretty good collection. I have either sold or given away a lot of mine, so I'm not sure how many I have had. I really want to get into planes for a new challenge. Any recommendations on what to try as a beginner? I have a few ideas, but they're a bit expensive. I want something that's brushless. For what it is, the JD-20 is one of the better toy grade drones I think. Well, thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate that.
Just starting in R/C Planes, is like getting started in Drones! Start with something very "Basic" (Test Flite Models are a VERY good place to start!), then "Graduate" to something a little larger, with more channels (Experimental Airlines is EXCELLENT, if you want to do the "I built this myself" kind of thing). If you build it yourself, you start understanding exactly WHAT makes it fly (and, unfortunately, what doesn't...!) Haha! The planes I've built cost no more than $3.00 for the Foam Board, and everything is reusable if (when) you crash! Haha! Just remember, flying a drone is "kinda like" flying a plane, but different. You can't stop and hoover! Haha! Good luck in your quest. Keep in touch, ya hear? Haha!
I have the Gryphon (Griffin) drone which looks like the Mavic Air. Acts much the same as yours. Pretty impressive with its 720p camera. Remote is the same. Great toy drone.
The controller has a self-centering throttle stick and the app does as well. That in addition to the internal barometer in the drone enables it to hold it's altitude.
Really any of the toy grade drones like this will allow you to download videos/photos to your phone. Budget means something different to everybody, but here are a couple to consider: $50 ua-cam.com/video/dDaKKQypmTw/v-deo.html, $59 ua-cam.com/video/fOy-kBV0aA8/v-deo.html, this one was $16 but now $27 ua-cam.com/video/cQrIMRQsibA/v-deo.html
First! DJI products are great, when they work, but what's putting me off getting either a MAVIC or a Phantom are: quality control (run aways, terrible firmware, buggy apps), not updating it 'now' can brick it, $hitty customer service, $hitty extended warranty service, delicate gimbal combined with an 'inadvertent landing' can turn it into an expensive doorstop. Have looked at the Typhoon & others, as alternatives, but am still open to suggestions. And jeebus, the camera quality may be great, but those props in both upper corners negate this completely.
I have a video planned specifically on DJI coming soon, so stay tuned for that. The props in the shot was my fault....I had the camera tilted upward a little bit too far. Tilt it down a bit and they don't show up.
I have a DJI Spark and in my opinion that drone has an amazing build quality. I flew far, high, fast (the sportmode is very fast indeed), flew it into a tree, due to my lack of experience. There is a ‘find my drone’ option and I found the drone, some 300 meters away in a messy terrain. No broken props, no gimbal defects. The DJI go4 app records all flights, so I could learn from my mistake. All aspects of the flight, including stick handling, are recorded. How DJI helps in case of trouble I don’t know. Maybe you are right. But as for quality DJI really delivers.
Glad you found me. Yeah, everybody doesn't have that kind of money just laying around. It took me about 2-years to save up for a Phantom 4. That was my first real GPS drone. So, little by little you can save those pennies.
true. I currently have a Hubsan H501S and absolutely love it. I tried the addon gimbal with my go-pro however still getting shakiness. Have to figure that out so I can shoot video straight down. Keep on droning!!!!
Is it possible to take photo/video using only controller... without app? If yes...How? I installed a 2gb SD card...press left button to take photo..I hear "beep" but not pics stored in SD card:(....no problem with app...I can take pics or video...but any through controller
@@GadgetInspector yeah they have it on Banggood. It was pretty cool until yesterday when it decided to shut down over a pond. In fairness I may have hit the wrong button.
SD cards are a bit confusing to me ,,, For a mid grade card using it for video what can I get for the JD 20 pocket drone ?? I dont need hours of record time but maybe 30 - 40 minutes of decent quality without a bunch of jerking
You an pretty much use the cheapest SD card you can find for this one. I have some 4GB cards that actually came with some quads I received and they work fine for something like this. If you're flying and advanced drone you should worry more about the SD card then.
swooshdave 1 second ago I've started a Facebook group for any YH-19HW Drone Owners in case they wanted to share their experiences. If no one ever joins I'm ok with that too! Since the JDRC JD-20 is identical those owners are welcome too. I wish I had got the JDRC JD-20 as the YH-19HW only comes with one battery.
Oh cool, FaceBook owners groups can be very helpful. I started a group for the Upair One and it has been helpful to myself and a lot of other folks. You might want to consider making the group a little broader though because I doubt the volume of sales for this quad will yield very many 'owners' interested in a group. Maybe change it to Budget Foldable Quad Owners or Drone Clone Owners or something like that. Just a thought.
Excellent idea, except I don't really want to manage a Facebook group for that broad of an audience. Besides as soon as I get a better drone I'll abandon this poor drone and put it on the wall as decoration. ;-)
The gear on the motor shaft got stripped on my JD 20. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement gear? This is not the gear that is connect to prop, this is the smaller gear that is on the main motor shaft.
You could try looking for parts associated with the same motor size as what's on the quad. That should open up your options as to where you can find the part. Either the retail product listing or the instructions should have the motor size.
How do you make it roll, do you do anything else besides pressing the roll button on the top right hand side of the transmitter ? I just received one of these but i can't get it to roll even with a full charge battery.
Hey there. Well, there are no editing tricks here...I promise 😉. What you see in the video is what I saw. Sometimes defective ones get out there though.
Thanks Jose. I'll be shipping your drone out on Friday. I have been giving away quite a bit lately, so I've had a lot of shipping costs. Haven't forgotten aboutcha.
I bought one of these, waited 2 weeks for it to come from China and Charlie Brown's damn kite-eating tree grabbed it and threw it into an impenetrable 8 ft high bramble bush. Total time from box to bush - 20 minutes! Just got it's replacement. Can I get a chain saw attachment? That tree is in trouble...
LOL...You got me laughing out loud for real on that one. When I first started flying I got stuck in trees several times. I swear trees either grow limbs instantly and snag your quad or they have some kind of Star Trek gravitational tractor beam that sucks in quads. Glad you got a replacement.
That basically means you don't have to worry about the orientation of the quad when flying. No matter where it is facing, left will always be left, right-right etc.
I have a iPhone 6s Plus and it fits that fine. Not sure if the Note 8 is bigger than that or not, but you can you the 6s Plus as a reference point to find out for sure.
Haha nice knock off - eeer I mean clone ;) I would’ve liked to see the smartphone screen. Is there also a DJI Go Clone? ;) Oh an how do you get drones from banggood? I want to have that too for my channel ;) And last but not least: great video as always 👍
LOL...hey Tommy. I usually try to show the app, but it's pretty basic so I didn't include it. My advice for getting sponsors is to produce the highest quality videos that you can as consistently as you can. Then, companies will reach out to you. Make sure you have a way for them to reach you like an email in your About section on your channel. If there's some special way to do it I certainly don't know what it is. I'm sure guys have some way of getting contacts, but again, for me it was just doing what I love to do and good things started to come my way. Thanks for the feedback as well, I appreciate it.
I guess the difference between a clone and a knock off is: a clone is virtually the same as it's original just "re-branded". A 'knock off ' is a quad that is mechanically nothing at all like the original but only superficially looks like the original.

Gadget Inspector Do you recommend this one over the visuo?
Gadget Inspector try it on your repeater. I put the x12 on the mi home repeater and it improved it greatly
Like for the video. What do you think about her stable? Do you think is quite good? I'm really think to buy. Thanks

That's great , thanks very much for your help.

I got the GPS model and sadly it came with only 1 battery and I can't seem to get a spare from anywhere. It's the 1800mah version.
Wow I didn't know they made one with GPS.

Great , , I'll have a look at FB
JD-20 on the way , I would join .
Great review! This toy drone flies really good too.
Thanks. Yep, every now and then a really good toy grade bird gets released. I'll be keeping this one.

Eric Dawson I bought a whole motor (with gear) from geekbuying.com for 2.99
Bro, what is color lamp if battery full charging?
Range please
How do you make it roll, do you do anything else besides pressing the roll button on the top right hand side of the transmitter ? I just received one of these but i can't get it to roll even with a full charge battery.
Press the button to flip and immediately give the right stick an input (forward, back, left or right) and the quad will flip.
Thanks man, I'll try that. I was only pressing the roll button and although it beeped it didn't roll
Great video, really like your videos.
Hey I appreciate that Larry.
Hello, does this drove feature ActiveTrack like the Spark does?
Nope.
Pls notice me.... which is better JY019 drone or JD20 drone?
I honestly don't know. I've never even heard of the JY019. Sorry.
Oh.. Ok. Thanks by the way
Everyone gave this thing a decent review but me, mine was a complete turd. no flips, 5 minute battery. terrible steering
Hey there. Well, there are no editing tricks here...I promise 😉. What you see in the video is what I saw. Sometimes defective ones get out there though.
Ha Ha Gad, I trust you to the hilt, If I didn't I would not have bought the Bebop 2. You know the Q.C. on these types of quads can be shaky at best.
Lol rip
WHY or WHY does every one that has a link to buy only show these cheap drones, will only show the onboard camera in a small quarter size view?
Does the follow me function works or not
vinay nehra This quadcopter does not have follow me.
Great works nice review
Thanks and thanks for watching.
Does his engine part have good durability? the engine is coal?
It is 1080p or not
Is it foldable

Wow, thanks Aditya! Thanks for watching!
+Gadget Inspector hey , what's the name of the app?
I think it's called YH-FPV. The correct name is in the manual.
+Gadget Inspector thanks man
is auto key retrun

Dude. Your head camera is better than the one on the drone. The drone's is sharp but not smooth at all.
Of course. You can’t expect a toy drone to compete with a $100 action cam right? It’s not an apples to apples comparison.
can you do jd20 fpv freestyle
Like an FPV racing drone?
yes sir
You could mount an all in one vtx camera combo on it if you want.
ok sir
Nice bro
Thanks.
Nice👍👍
Thanks bro.
If you can charge the battery, why extra batteries?
The Deckists 2 extra for dildos and flap jack cookers, 1 for the clone drone I spy your little eye with. Common knowledge, Common law, singer Common 😍 your a tool.
cool
Thanks and thanks for watching.
this have landing option
I forget, it definitely should be in the video though. I believe it has auto-takeoff and auto-land, but you should check the video.
How much he fly
If you're asking how long it flies, I can't remember. I test so many of these. If you watch the video you'll find out though.
Can you put a vr goggles on this quad ??
Unfortunately no. The app does not include a VR option.

JD 20 it's very poor quality I have one but shit ...not interesting on it fly just 4 or 5 min.is death I order another for 350€ +extra batteries and nicegear send me this shit for 50 $ on the internet price without extra batteries and never order from this website anymore bad services never answer my question
