500 iq: enemy's MGs taunt your siege tanks. You cyclone MGs. Tanks got in range of several air units because of the taunts. Destroying back line & air with the enemy not having tanks (but the smart one will move let's say a half of the tanks to the back line, but you still will be able to wipe the air)
Rejuv is nearly useless in this mode, it always gets instantly dispelled. I don't even get adept training until getting master for bear form. It is theoretically possible to get a heal between opponents, but in practice it is uncommon. Also you don't have many claws usually, whereas priests tend to be in higher numbers, and heal is repeated every second so isn't countered by dispel.
I think mines aren’t that good to rush early. Your 2nd mine costs 200 gold. We know it takes 6 minutes and 40 seconds to make it back, but to make the cheapest unit from the extra gold earned, a ghoul (90g), it takes an additional 3 minutes. That’s almost 10 minutes where you lose out on 2 ghouls just to gain 1 extra ghoul. Plus, one ghoul is less useful by then. If you lose mid just once because you’re down units, it’s immediately not worth it. Instead, rushing T2 would be better because it can unlock statues, necros, or buffs that drastically boost your army and can take enemy tower.
Ghouls are ass and 2nd or 3rd gold mine is worth more than 5 ghouls tbh. Also unless the game is a complete one sided stomp, more games last 25 to 35 minutes, early mines are definetly a worthy investment, especially if your team is already holding mid. Id never go for more than 3 though.
I reread your comment and agree t2 is better than 2nd or third goldmine. T3 might be more worth as well, considering the power some t3 units and spells can bring. I standby ghouls being ass though.
Depends on what your up against. This situation Grubby was able to go three mines because he was against a player that skipped round 1 and had no chance of killing his army early. I do think though it could be better even in this situation to just go T2 and try to proactively counter what they are likely to build towards.
games never end on T2 or T1, so at last, everybody is on T3. I don't know why grubby invests on units/ goldmine when he was already winning his battle. going T2 or T3 is never a waste since eventually u will need it. and oppo also eventually will have to go T3
Sure, but if your 2 extra ghouls just make you win a little harder in the early game so you can feed 2 more ghouls to the enemy tower, then those ghouls aren't a lot of help and I'd rather have the extra mine
With the melee heros. A group of knights to tank and vamp aura would be great and microing pandas ulti so he make more use of his non ulti form if you can be bothered microing it
Looks like they only snake once their previous aa-target died, so right before looking for the next best target. If there's only one unit left, or the unit they attack gets outhealed, or has a lot of health then no snakes inbetween. This may be true for more casters, not just sh. Could be wrong here, not sure. But it would make sense, otherwise your hero would change aa targets all the time because they had to place a snek
I guess you better control Pandas ult and also switch fire breath off too after he does it 1-2 times just to make sure he has mana left to ult when low hp
Staging back before their tower is down is dumb. You miss out on center control for gold, which can end up with them having extra income for a long while if it is close. Also, you could have killed tower 3-5 waves sooner, and possibly not lost your own because their tower helped them stack.
They did have Resistant Skin, but that just makes cyclone have a reduced duration on them. Since you can cyclone heroes, you can also cyclone mountain giants with resistant skin
While I appreciate Direct Strike and it's strategic gameplay, as someone who only played Hero Wars back in the day, I don't really know what the heck is going on. I was never good at RTS. I was always curb-stomped by my friends because I'd spend 25 minutes making an awesome base with elite defenses, but unfortunately would be immediately destroyed by my buddies' army because he knew he needed no defense because I was just playing base-builder. So when people cry "ahh direct strike again!! no wc3? :(" I'd like you to understand that a layman can understand your wc3 games because they are slower and what not... but unless you are a veteran, there's no way anyone knows anything that's happening in this game unless you explain what is happening. We can't predict what's gonna happen because this is like wc3 on steroids and only gigachads who understand every unit and army composition will understand how anything that is happening matters in the grand scheme of things lol. So regular wc3 videos = casual players who played 10,000 hours when they were 11 would understand but direct strike = only people who played competitively when they were 11 would understand.
somebody ''oh 3 mines grubby'' and that causes a wall of text from the grubby
Christians are evil

Would like to see Direct Strike with 3 Lanes, which meet at both Fortresses and in the Middle. Probably with 4 Players (1,2,1).
XD "A draft without healing" Has bears with rejuv. come on Grubby just say it, a draft without OP priests

A real Draft would be nice: Starting with ~12 Units, pick one and give the Rest to the next Player.
@@aw-qs6wt This would be so good. Actually can direct counter your opponent
Awesome match, super educational! Thanks for getting me into this mode, great fun.
tbh direct strike creators should have $% from w3 reforge
3:51 Oh so that's what the Panda skin looks like , just as cursed as it seemed from the top.
With the melee heros. A group of knights to tank and vamp aura would be great and microing pandas ulti so he make more use of his non ulti form if you can be bothered microing it
Ur cyclones are so good! Heroes disabled, giants avoided and multiple stack kills!
My brain has been expanded by the idea of cyclone taking out MG/tauren frontlines
@grubby, if you want to cinematic follow a unit, just click hold on their portrait
Looks like they only snake once their previous aa-target died, so right before looking for the next best target. If there's only one unit left, or the unit they attack gets outhealed, or has a lot of health then no snakes inbetween. This may be true for more casters, not just sh.

Cyclone bringing that surround focus mechanic from normal 👌oh tank fly away and come back once iv delt with the dps
you put me on this game I haven't stopped playing ever since 😭
berserker upgrade for 3 was woosh, at least he realized pandas item problem in regards to the ult
Those talons looked downright OP
I guess you better control Pandas ult and also switch fire breath off too after he does it 1-2 times just to make sure he has mana left to ult when low hp
Does double Shadow Hunter with Big Bad Voodoo make the entire army including themselves invulnerable ?
No. He plays Jesus.
No they shadow docs are immune to the invulnerable
If you micro pandas ult it becomes insane tank with items
Cylone micro is special tactics!
Like Harstem once said I'm going to abuse this [cyclones] in ladder to beat people several hundred points above my mmr.

20:10
my OCD is crying.
36:18 pay attention to the hippos...
18:30 @grubby except if there is a bat. Then they wont morph.
Panda needs micro on his ult or it's just a sacrifice it feels like
grubby's team spent 4461 gold more than the other team. consider how much more army that is! especially when debating gold mines.
Nice win and stacks
Love you grubby
"No healing"
What on Earth is Rejuvenation??
cant believe its not sc2
If you disable talon's transform after they become crows, do they stay in their crow form?
Pls just one bronze league heros
the bronze league heroes of direct strike? interesting idea
Hmm how about 3 more months DS
why didn’t they just get the MG upgrade? doesn’t work vs cyclone?
Resistant skin would have solved this
They did have Resistant Skin, but that just makes cyclone have a reduced duration on them. Since you can cyclone heroes, you can also cyclone mountain giants with resistant skin
I rather go life steal and belts for panda and never go sef. he becomes a destruction machine
taunt micro ftw!
I was about to ask if orb on hero is good if enemy rushes chims but then he anwsered anyways ty grubby
How do you play so it tracks XP so you can buy stuff?
it's the Destiny
Your orcs are blue and trolls green
Fastest army in the west 🤣
whats the effect of bbv?
Invulnerability for all allied units in range, except for the Shadow hunter itself.
@enDARKenLoL thank you :)
Nice ;)
Indeed😁
hippos are sp bad. he shouldve gone more talons
if u 3 mine, then u have to 4 mine

any reason why you neglected knights? are they ba dps?
Ggg
