The biggest problem with the UK legal system is that many prosecutors and judges are upper class toffs who've no idea how violence works in reality. She hit her much bigger (female) attacker with a glass bottle after already taking a serious beating and being knocked to the ground. Unfortunately her attacker suffered a fairly bad injury from the bottle and it was deemed unreasonable force because the (bigger,stronger) attacker wasn't armed herself. Absolutely ridiculous.
The gypsy con "we are taking up a collection so we can bury my young child who just died" made the rounds in big cities in the USA a few years back. These are organized shakedowns with up to 60 people on intersections across an area of a city. I have no problems buying a cup of iced coffee for someone on a hot day or flipping a few Dollars to someone in need on an "one time only" basis. I live in a small town (18,000 people) so it's relatively easy to spot the people in need from the "professional" beggars. All of the points in your video were spot on. Thanks. Cheers!
As a paramedic I've dealt with the horrific and sometimes deadly aftermath of violence on many occasions, but in my personal life I've found it remarkably easy to not get in fights with people. Even though I'm a 48 year old punk rock fan who has been in hundreds of mosh pits at hundreds of punk shows, there's only been 1 time that I smacked a guy who needed to be brought into line and 1 other time I stepped between 2 guys who were fighting, but other than that if you're paying attention to your surroundings, it's not hard to avoid trouble. (My broken noses were the result of standard mosh pit fun, not violence!) The real problems usually start when dudes mix the false bravado of alcohol with the fragile ego of low self esteem.

Have good situational awareness, trust your gut, and get away from any situation that feels wrong. This served me well working in New York City and the nightlife there for decades. Don't engage people who come up to you. No cigarette, no you can't have the time, or "spare change" or use my phone. Emergency? I'll call 911 for you. Yeah, I didn't think so.

in school, i remember this kid getting bullied by all the evil kids. Even his 'friend' ended up bullying him. One time in a geography class the kid got up slowly and calmly walked towards the front of the class and then suddenly smashed his 'friend' right in the face with a sucker punch, completely uninpeeded. All this in front of the quiet classroom. He could not get bullied much more so fuck it. Im not sure he even got in trouble for it from teachers. The whole system was a failure at keeping kids safe.
The best lesson in life a child can learn in school is that 'Authority' (Teachers, Police, Governments) are not going to provide a 'safe space'. From ten years old I fought my way through school often. Bullies are everywhere and 'Grown ups' are not going to protect you. Look at society now. Do you think the Police protect you? The Courts are fair and there is justice? Children must learn to protect themselves and, if possible, the weak who can't. No one is coming to help you.
I met my best friend, by saving him from bullies. I ended up being friends with the bullies as well (after I beat them up). I was a nerd, but I grew up in a tough neighborhood. One issue that always still amazes me in fights is when one clown thinks it’s wise to get right up and be virtually nose to nose to his opponent as a show of aggression that they hope will intimidate the other person - that’s a wonderful way to cop either a head butt, uppercut or right hook and end up knocked out and it’s game over - I’ve always trained to keep distance and given I’m 6’3” I always used front or side kicks to keep people back - especially since I have no idea if they’re possibly carrying a blade. Situational awareness is so key to keeping yourself safe and so many people either aren’t intuitive to such things or they get quite drunk and thus lose that awareness of what’s happening near them - an especially dangerous scenario for women who can then fall victim to male sexual predators.

When I went to Rome, many scammers approached me. They even tried speaking to me in different languages. I just played dumb and ignored them. I am a polite person, but I don't owe my politeness to random people who engage with me in public.

Tank at times was a bully himself but it's a great read, great part about getting older is you pick and chose your battles wisely. Met all the same characters, and all the same stories pretty much. We don't have Gypsies in Oz, but we do have other 'groups' that can do a lot of damage. Id say on average people here are a bit fitter, and a bit tougher in general. Just the outdoors lifestyle though. Not much knife play, just fists, pool cues and chairs.

I grew up in East London back in the 80's so yeah, I know the deal of how rough things can get! I then moved to South London in the 90's I still live there even to this very day and it too is rough where violence is concerned more predominantly with guns and gang crime. I get news reports from the Net mostly everyday from across the City of London. Stabbings are prolific. Gun crime spontaneous and unpredictable. All this with the oversight of Law and Order. Times have changed since the end of the last Great War in this Country. This multicultural Cosmopolitan that We all now live in could turn into a complete Hell Hole if something really bad should happen and suddenly everyone was left in the dark due to the power being cut off for a protracted period of time due to the event of War, CME Event/s Sabotage by Foreign Enemy Actors i.e. Russia EMP disruption etc. etc. Situations and scenarios that We all in these forever increasing uncertain times should be considering. Sometimes, it keeps me up at night, especially with the recent events currently transpiring in the Middle East right now! It is possible that these happenings could not only escalate to a wider, more regional conflict, but, could even spark a more serious, Global one. Putin is also a concern, it seems that he is intent on attacking the UK at some point in the mere future. Just two weeks ago he sent ships through the English Channel accompanied with bombers in response to Blinken and Lamys visit to Ukraine. it went grossly unprepared by our News Network at the time but, I get regular bulletins from the Net all the time and is very appraised. The British Government are currently very concerned of the potential of an attack with the use of hypersonic missiles from Russia. It is believed that one of the Russians primary targets would be Our power generation infrastructure. If that happens, it won't be governments and our world leaders I personally will be worried about, it will be our own General Public! With no power for a protracted time or even indefinitely. Cities such as London would tear itself apart. Food Riots would ensue and when the food finally ran out, that civilized Cosmopolitan Folk out there will eat each other. I do sincerely hope that this message reaches you without interference from that dammed machine and it's algerythim. --- (Very Scary.) End.

I also possess vast knowledge on tactics, explosives, chemistry, bushcraft and survivalist skills! The Police are fully aware of these facts and they really, really don't like it! My fear, is that in a minute We will need all the weapons we can get our hands on and the government are currently in the process of disarming the population turning everyone everywhere into Slaves! I witnessed this aggressive drunk guy attack a guy walking home for no reason (had been thrown out of a venue) and he got ko'd by the guy he started on. Then his two mates ran over and pretended to play peace makers like they were apologising for their aggressive mate. As soon as the guy was up again all three of them battered this guy. I guess the two other guys wouldn't do anything without their main guy? But I remember thinking at the time if only the attacked guy followed up while he had the upper hand!
The last bit on politeness and charities really hits home with me, unfortunately the charity muggers appearing on my doorstep are becoming increasingly sneaky. Why is there not a law against this?

It would be really interesting to see the collective training & experience of the commenters here, as it seems like most people mention or imply they are relatively savvy about this stuff. I am sure this video will reach some entirely novice people, but it’s strange just how many folks gravitate to this content which already seem to be ahead of most.
The notion that "Good prevails over evil" just doesn't work on the Individual level but on a group level it makes a group strong enough to overpower it's enemies in the long run. As individuals being Good isn't synonymous with Combat Competence.
Talking of sneaky military tricks. During the War Of The Roses there was a battle in England between two armies. Both armies had longbowmen. Both armies knew the longbow had a max range of about 200 yards. One army lined themselves up with the wind behind them. The opposing army fired their longbow. Hi, toyr videos are always very interesting. I haven't seen al of them. But have you already addressed the group behaviour? Your friend seems to let you down if you lose a fight, and the opposite, they tend to give cheap shots at your opponents if you win, or join an already won fight. The fact rhat your friends will defend you, no matter the cost, is a well established myth in my opinion.
In the 90's I walked out of a nightclub in Boscombe at closing time. I'm not joking, there were six fights going on all at the same time on the street outside the club. They all involved several people and reminded me of the rucks when I played rugby. Two of them were between women. No police in sight even though there were plenty of street cameras. The bouncers just watched on. It was all taking place on the street so not their problem. Sort of thing you'd video and post on social media these days.

I witnessed this aggressive drunk guy attack a guy walking home for no reason (had been thrown out of a venue) and he got ko'd by the guy he started on. Then his two mates ran over and pretended to play peace makers like they were apologising for their aggressive mate. As soon as the guy was up again all three of them battered this guy. I guess the two other guys wouldn't do anything without their main guy? But I remember thinking at the time if only the attacked guy followed up while he had the upper hand!

It would be really interesting to see the collective training & experience of the commenters here, as it seems like most people mention or imply they are relatively savvy about this stuff. I am sure this video will reach some entirely novice people, but it’s strange just how many folks gravitate to this content which already seem to be ahead of most.
There will be some with training and experience and others who believe watching action films is training and experience.
I'm a retired cop saw more than enough violence to last my lifetime but I really enjoy these films.

Talking of sneaky military tricks. During the War Of The Roses there was a battle in England between two armies. Both armies had longbowmen. Both armies knew the longbow had a max range of about 200 yards. One army lined themselves up with the wind behind them. The opposing army fired their longbow. But because of the wind they were facing the arrows fell short. The other army then picked up those arrows and fired them back at their opponent. I forget the rest of the details.
Hi, toyr videos are always very interesting. I haven't seen al of them. But have you already addressed the group behaviour? Your friend seems to let you down if you lose a fight, and the opposite, they tend to give cheap shots at your opponents if you win, or join an already won fight. The fact rhat your friends will defend you, no matter the cost, is a well established myth in my opinion.
Agree. When younger I was beaten badly by a much older guy. 8 of my friends stood and watched, frozen by fear.

In the 90's I walked out of a nightclub in Boscombe at closing time. I'm not joking, there were six fights going on all at the same time on the street outside the club. They all involved several people and reminded me of the rucks when I played rugby. Two of them were between women. No police in sight even though there were plenty of street cameras. The bouncers just watched on. It was all taking place on the street so not their problem. Sort of thing you'd video and post on social media these days.
