This video is somewhat part 4 of the gauge cluster repair but a video on its own. I am installing aftermarket gauges to get rid of the ugly ones the truck currently has. Besides them being ugly and installed just bad they don't work really well, hopefully these Auto Meter gauges work way better!
I ordered the new ones off of Amazon and both the temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge come with everything needed to install! besides some electrical wire but you can pick that up at your local hardware store.
This will be a first for me as I've never installed gauges that deal with monitoring the engine.
I'm doing this to my 69 f250 right now! I cut up my dash bezel and making my own out of the pieces. Thanks for sharing your project and for the heads up about the vacuum problem
Yebo Screbo Nice! Thank you for watching. Definitely check any vacuum lines if your in the area just in case they could be leaking or old and need replacing, I never suspected it to be a vacuum leak.
Good stuff. My 70 F250 shifts a little funky at times. I'm gonna check out the vacuum lines. Thanks for the info.
Eric Argo Thank you, definitely check the lines but it also could be the vacuum modulator. Wouldn’t be difficult to replace it.

Does your temperature and oil pressure gauge still work on your instrument cluster?
Israel franco No they don’t currently work, I was hoping to have both work but it’s probably a different reading and wouldn’t be accurate.
