TO REPLACE THE DROPPER: (I'm leaving the same comment on many videos in hopes many people can get the information.) The dropper for this tinted serum IS terrible, in my opinion, but the bottle has the standard-size neck, which means that a lot of pumps will fit it. The pump that one can buy for Estee Lauder Double Wear fits it. The pump that comes in with the Physician's Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer fits it, too. Any pump that works with MAC Studio Fix, the discontinued Physician's Formula Healthy Foundation, or the L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable (the original True Match in the small bottle with the silver cap) will work with this L'Oreal True Match Nude Tinted Serum. So, go through your products and see if you can find a dispenser to pinch. Also, don't forget there are "foundation pumps" on Amazon that are very inexpensive (about 7 dollars for a set of 4), refillable squeeze bottles (you can easily reuse the Dior Backstage Face and Body), and my favorite, the Amazon airless pump bottles. One additional note: if you decide to change to a pump, be very careful dispensing, because this tinted serum is not very viscous and might splatter if you press too hard. Keep the bottle horizontal to the floor and the tip of the pump pointing down.
Ok, I bought this two days ago, very hard to find because it’s sold out everywhere! I am 60 yrs old, color match was perfect for my skin. I have done a two day test ware and this is fantastic. I have combo skin and lots of fine lines, this does not settle in those lines and is non transferable, even on a black face mask! It feels like my skin and looks amazing too! I would recommend this product for anyone who likes a clean even look without the heavy foundation feel. Thank you Gemma for this review, I have finally found my holy grail for a foundation/tinted moisturizer/serum ❤️

I’m obsessed with this foundation. It is definitely my holy grail now. I have very dry skin that’s also very acne prone and this works so well for me. It looks just like skin and even after wearing it for ten hours with no touch ups it still looked great. Obsessed!

I have the same type of skin and yes, I like it too. Unfortunately I find sometimes I have to wear a concealer under the eyes or blemishes. Also, I'm usually in L'Oreal foundation a 3 and a yellowy foundation, but this one in 2-3 light is a bit dark and too yellow even for me.
I found some powder that I really like. It's Avon is called Magix Dust Finishing Powder. I get the Translucent. It blurs out big pores and really helps fine lines. I love, I never wore powder til I found this. non caking.❤️
I have combo oily skin and I love this. It’s become my everyday foundation. So beautiful and yes transfer resistant which is very important to me. And it doesn’t slide around my oily t zone. Love it.

Love this! I can apply it with fingertips. It's a lightweight base that shows your natural skin! It doesn't hide my freckles - which I rather like. Very affordable. I'm 59 with minimal wrinkles and decent texture. Prep, though!
It looks great on you. On me it made my skin look very dry even with moisturizer on my face. I couldn't find a color match either. I have light neutral olive skin and the 3 lightest shades were either too light, too pink or too dark and orange
Ideally there should be a stopper in the neck of the bottle that removes the excess product off the tube of the dropper when you take it out of the bottle.
I just got this and it is my new holy grail. The colour was perfect and the coverage is exactly what I want. I’ve got all of the Bobbi Brown foundations, and they are moving to the back of my cabinet!
Someone compared this to Chanel Le Teint Velvet. It is very similar. I think results depend on what you have on underneath. On bare skin or with a very light moisturizer, I get a soft, natural matte finish that wears well all day. Over a layer of sunscreen, not as great.
I started using this about a week ago. Loving it so far. What I don't like is the dropper. Putting it back into the bottle without making a mess on the neck of the bottle is difficult. Luckily I had a pump from another bottle of foundation that fits perfectly. They need to re think that. With the pump, I can apply it directly to whatever method I choose to apply my foundation without getting it on my hands. Otherwise, I think I'll be re purchasing
Started using this last week and I love it. I don't like heavy makeup, but do like looking polished and this wears beautifully all day without rubbing off. The shade I got is a bit dark, but it's easy to make it work and I can easily finish this first bottle and get a lighter one next time. Also wanted to say you have such beautiful eyes! I was surprised you weren't wearing eyeshadow.

This is my favorite also. Better than Nars and Armani silk! Palest shade works for my very light skin. I do wish they had one shade lighter though that would be even better.
I really went into it thinking it would be oily and powered it down . (NO NO NO) so dry and tight. then I watched your tutorial. Thank You for helping me.
Great video! I just wanted to share that I have super dry skin that usually rejects foundations but this works beautifully for me. I prep my skin as I always do by exfoliating regularly (I recommend the Good Molecules glycolic toner the night before) and the morning I want to use this, I mix 2 parts hyaluronic serum (or any serum) with 1 part avocado oil and apply it to my face. Avocado oil is incredible for dry skin. I then go in with a moisturizer or my sunscreen (Cotz sensitive or their tinted sunscreen) and it's intensely hydrating. My face looks pretty greasy by this point. I then apply the tinted serum foundation & clean it up with a damp sponge and when it dries down, my skin isn't shiny like it was - it's just perfect. I really LOVE how it looks - it just looks like my skin but much better and it isn't dry at night when I am about to take it off. I also don't use a ton of product. I just focus it in key areas.
That’s beautiful! It looks so light and natural on your skin. This is one I’ll definitely try but will need to prep my normal/dry skin first I think. Thanks 🙏
Yorkshire girl here and yes no wastage is a must!😂 found this as want to order something lighter on my ageing skin (42 and wow things are changing rapidly😮😢) as foundations sit in my creases. Thanks for the honest video ❤
First impression is truly impressive! Like you said, the flaky bits don’t work with it but I struggle with that with other formulary too… will prep my skin better tomorrow to see how it goes with a ,ore hydrating moisturizer. ❤
What is the “serious prep”? Right on the center of bottle it says “plump”. Did it plump? It s already sold out at Ulta, the US store in any light and medium shades with full star rating. You said no shadow & no bronzer today to showcase skin instead. It’s my all time favorite look on you! The English rose! You worked hard to care for it too. Sending love and admiration.
Hi Donna, I used a wash cloth to gently exfoliate the flakey areas, then I went in with my NIOD mist and then used my evening moisturiser to lock it all in...it worked xxx
Gemma, it looks absolutely beautiful on you! Can't wait for it to make it into stores, I haven't seen it yet! I thought you looked wonderful without bronzer, honestly, the blush only really suited you IMHO 😃
Ooh definitely going to try this, I love a light cover foundation and my current one (Lumene Beauty Serum) is just a shade too dark with this rubbish summer we're having
I managed to finally find my shade in store and grabbed it. Usually drug store foundations run too orange on me, even though I am hardly the palest of the pale. So it’s always a gamble. I grabbed this is the shade 2 which is the second up from the lightest shade and I am shocked! No orange! It literally disappears into my skin!!! so on top of this being so natural it’s almost undetectable that you’re wearing anything, it’s a perfect shade match for me. I am shocked and don’t know what to do with myself lol. Even drugstore bb/cc creams are always too orange! anyways this stuff is good.
I know this is a foundation video, but your eyebrows are amazing! I would’ve liked to have seen how you did that😂 they look absolutely perfect and hair like!!❤
Great review Gemma! L’Oréal has been knocking it out of the park lately! I’ve been using the Infallible powder foundation and Infallible liquid foundation all summer. This one is sold out everywhere in the US unfortunately.
I've suggested this before but even more so on the back of this review- try the new Avon Serum Foundation, it's just as impressive as this one but doesn't feel right at all AND it's cheaper!!!
Thank you so much, now going to check when it is available here in Italy, you did make me laugh when you mentioned you are from Yorkshire so don't like waste.
Thank you I’ll be looking for your Mom on this one I’m her age. Also please tell me what you have on your eye lids. You said you don’t have eye shadow on and you lids are very light and even just the look I really like,
The color match was excellent. I’ve tried and returned this twice though. It just doesn’t like my drier (not flakey at all) lives-in-the-literal-desert skin though. I was hopeful but it’s just too drying and makes my skin look so dull. 😢
I can't wait to get my hands on this product..especially with Christmas and New Years Eve (my birthday) coming up. It looks beautiful on your skin and you gave great tips and information about what seems to be in many reviewers top foundation list. Thank you! XXOO ❤️
The best foundation I ever found was the CYO one at Boots, shade 102, £7.99!!! I'd just found it, and Boots discontinued the range. I wonder if this would be a good replacement, although I have cool ivory skin. I love Bare Minerals, but they're starting to look too yellow on me.
So the alcohol content makes it non transferable then? Good if you want to avoid adding powder to you face, but I suppose after a while could be a bit drying. I think Jan will like this one! Soph.😘
It’s not drying at all. At least on me. My cheeks and forehead are dry as the Sahara desert and my t-zone is it’s own oil bearing nation and it works great on my whole face. I know everyone is different though. I’ll just say it’s one of the very few foundations I can wear.
Ive used it twice now and got dry patches the following day, imgoing to switch up my routine andprep more prior to a third use. It looked awesome on, and stayed flawless till I took it off, the dry patches were its only downfall
My skin is normal to dry. I think this would be amazing in the summer because it’s so drying. We’re going into winter in Australia so I bought it at a bad time. Looking forward to trying to in the summer. My skin feels tight and dry (and cold) when I use this currently.
I've got a thing about hyaluronic acid in foundation. As it pulls moisturiser from above and below the skin, I'm really concerned that it will cause some dehydration to my already dry skin. Will it do that? Gotta say Gemma, this is a corker! This looked unbelievably natural and the blend was invisible. Ok, you're now forgiven for the Cle de Peau 😂😂😂 This pared down makeup look is so beautiful on you. You actually resembled a ballerina - classy and elegant 😍 Sending masses of love to you and yours 💗💞💗💞💗💞💗💞💗💞💗 PS : I'm really interested in hearing what you think of it Jan. I agree with you regarding her beautiful "pared down" look. So pretty compared to the Halloween looks sported on here by the girls who wear 6 shades of glittery eyeshadow and false lashes, and 3 shades of bronzer... it goes on and on.
@@chrissymoss514 oh good, cause I was a little worried I might have stepped on some toes! Apparently you can kinda picture the look I'm talking about😉🤗
Totally off topic. But wondering if any here can help. Totally confused by the shades of the Lancome concealer. What shade 215 buff(US) equals the shades in Europe that have shade numbers like 02,025 and 6 and so on. Hope someone in the fantastic Wolfpack can help a confused Norwegian😘👍
Hi Gemma, I have a question regarding the foundation colour. Is this a good match? Maybe the problem is caused by my display 🤷🏻♀️ but your chin seems to me kind a red-ish comapared to the neck. Would you normaly use a colour corrector? (I'm asking because I have a similar problem on my forehead) Greetings from the CZ 🌼
No not your display. The entire first part of this was like a blur to me. I couldn't tell the difference between her skin on her neck and her face it all looks the same like there was absolutely nothing,--- never mind, I can't explain it there was just no difference in it until she came up closer when she put the bottle up close I knew it was not my display and not my eyes. I knew she just needed to be closer up. Guess I've gotten spoilt by all the ppl who do closeups now, which Gemma definitely does quite often😊🌈
I'm late to the serum foundation party (and this video 😉), but I'm so happy to see so many comments from older women with dry skin who are positive. I haven't used foundation or even BB creams in years and recently threw all my - all only once or twice used bottles 😔 - foundation in the bin, basically having given up. My skin is extremely dry, with eczema and milia but still also acne (scarring). I'm also very pale and cool toned - apparently drugstore brands refuse to make cool toned fair shades - and my skin is super sensitive. Foundations or BB creams are either too dark, too orange or too yellow and when the colour is okay with some white and blue drops it is too drying, shows all lines and patches or creates an allergic response. The few that don't make me look 90 years old (I'm 44) or reaction, usually are the wrong shade. Now I'm hearing more about serum foundation (The Ordinary and this one) and I want to try again for the moments my eczema is calm - happening more ever since I discovered my home remedy :). . I'm a tad worried about the tightness Gemma is mentioning, but perhaps I can use an oily primer underneath. L'Oréal is having this on sale atm, so I might give it a go!
I don't know if u are in the uk but boots no 7 foundations are fantastic for sensitive or problematic or aging skin... I personally use the no 7 hydrating lightweight foundation which I found out about from one of Gemma's reviews and I love it, also its reasonably priced around £15. They have a few different types that may suit you, the protect and perfect foundation is also very good, wishing u luck 👍
I can’t use anything with alcohol in it anyway. It is too drying no matter what - and an oxidant. I’d like to find a foundation with a finish like the Chanel les beiges water fresh tint, but thicker so it doesn’t dilute my sunscreen. No matter what anyone says, I know that putting something with 75% water over your sunscreen is going to make it ineffective.
She’s done lots and I’ve learned from her that some are more drying for the lashes. Can’t recall if mom did but you can see the list of her videos on You Tube. Whenever I’m looking for a subject, I write (in Search) Pampered Wolf and mascara ( fill in your subject). Hope that helped. Probably a better way but I’m not all that savvy.
I purchased this foundation on the recommendation of influencers. I do not love it. To be fair, I was looking for sheer coverage, more like a tinted moisturizer. This was thicker and heavier, and I found it difficult to blend. I am 59 and my skin tends towards dry. I was really hoping for a serum consistency. This is not that.
I was sure this was still not available here in Italy, but I've seen it yesterday at my usual drugstore for a discounted launch price (€13, I know it'll be €20 full price). I'm very curious to try it, maybe I'll go buy it as soon as I come back from work
Okay. Finally grabbed some of this today. At Walgreens. It was buy 2 get one free. Bought 2 fairest shade and 1 Light shade 2-3. Of course I washed my face as soon as I got home and tried this right away. It is a very full coverage makeup for me, and it feels like glue. I found it dried very quick too of course and has a tightening feel to it. I do like how it looks from afar. It makes me look younger I think. And my husband thinks it's youthful as well. Up close around my nose, and on my nose, it's not pretty. I will try this again tomorrow but with a boat load of prep. If it does not wear well it is going to get returned. I also picked up 2 of those Revlon lip stains. They are serious! I still have not been able to wash away the tester I tried on my hand. 😱 Tomorrow is going to be a wear test for both new products. I hope I get it right. Otherwise I may look clownish. 🤡 It's getting tougher and tougher for me to wear makeup as I have aged. *56 the end of this month and crave my bare skin more and more I would like to find the perfect balance of moisturized looking skin with foundation on. Seems everything I try looks cakey, and leaves me with dots, or textured looking skin, or emphasizing my under eye lines. In the meantime my skin is soft and smooth to the touch. So weird, and very hard to figure out. Maybe a Dior foundation might be better for me. Or Shiseido. (?)
I have the same problem with foundations (they break down or something) and I'm 55. So I stopped wearing them years ago, sticking to tinted moisturisers and BB creams if anything. This new tinted serum might work ...
I love mine but its very hard to get any product to suck up so you end up just pouring it out. Also I need alot to cover up my face so wont last long but love it all the same.
Don't forget to hide the foundation haha Great review, can't wait to see what your mam thinks of it ? I was going to buy Burts Bees foundation but I'm spoilt for choice now ☺💕🙈
@@summerdais325 I've seen Burts bee's applied with a sponge and it goes patchy but a buffing brush gives a smooth coverage, I've oily skin so it may go too shiny so I've decided to try this loreal too👍 🥰
Why didn't you apply any foundation to cover the redness around your nose? You left two red brackets of skin around your nostril wings despite applying two layers of foundation to the rest of your face?
Yeah I hear you. The drugstore make up lately is going up in price and seems to almost match high end in price. I don't have much money to work with and soon I won't be able to afford any make up at all with these drugstore prices lately. Apparently this new do it foundation is 20 dollars!
I bought this and had high hopes however big fail for me . :( perform s more like a tinted moisturizer and the wear was horrible ( blotchy faded). Oh well.

Ooh definitely going to try this, I love a light cover foundation and my current one (Lumene Beauty Serum) is just a shade too dark with this rubbish summer we're having
Really wanted to try this but not so sure about the alcohol! 😕
Jen Phelps tested this and it looked great indoors but a hot mess in sunlight.
Terri yes L’Oréal are!
What primer did you use under this foundation? Thank you. I want to try this…. Your review was very helpful.
Gema I am so excited I just ordered the Hourglass ambient light blush!!! This is my first high end and I just can hardly wait to get it!!!
You won’t be disappointed 😃 It’s beautiful!!
@jan what did you think of the ambient light blush?
@@carolegunfield9460 well I sent it back it did not last on my skin did not think it was any better than drugstore blush I was so disappointed
@@janreding9384 thank you for replying. I've been lusting after these blushes but now I'll save my money :-)
I've suggested this before but even more so on the back of this review- try the new Avon Serum Foundation, it's just as impressive as this one but doesn't feel right at all AND it's cheaper!!!
Hi it’s a very good foundation & well worth the money I like to wear different ones after a few days but that’s just me enjoyed the video 🌸🌺
Bought this today it’s so beautiful better than the most of my expensive ones !
So, the new thing is serum foundation eh? I wonder if any are long lasting in extreme heat... 🤔
I LOVE this foundation and reach for it over any my Bobbi Brown foundations (especialy the serum foundation).
I bought it this week! Loving it ! Thank you very much
Thank you so much, now going to check when it is available here in Italy, you did make me laugh when you mentioned you are from Yorkshire so don't like waste.
Thank you I’ll be looking for your Mom on this one I’m her age. Also please tell me what you have on your eye lids. You said you don’t have eye shadow on and you lids are very light and even just the look I really like,
It looks lovely on you, this is just what I’ve been looking for something light so will be trying this.
The color match was excellent. I’ve tried and returned this twice though. It just doesn’t like my drier (not flakey at all) lives-in-the-literal-desert skin though. I was hopeful but it’s just too drying and makes my skin look so dull. 😢
Excellent. Thank you Gemma.
Really lovely natural look, will definitely give it a try. I think your eyebrows look amazing. X
I can't wait to get my hands on this product..especially with Christmas and New Years Eve (my birthday) coming up. It looks beautiful on your skin and you gave great tips and information about what seems to be in many reviewers top foundation list. Thank you! XXOO ❤️
Thanks for the video, love your advice. Would you be able to use this foundation daily? Many thanks. Julie xx
@@Mamamoe13 That's good to know. Thanks.x
Ive used it twice now and got dry patches the following day, imgoing to switch up my routine andprep more prior to a third use. It looked awesome on, and stayed flawless till I took it off, the dry patches were its only downfall
for everyday use which one is better this or the regular true match?
I think it would not work for dry/dehydrated skin. i will eagerly wait for you to try it on your Mum.
I think Gemma’s skin is drier than her mum’s
@@SusanJ-jt5ny but her Mother has other skin characteristics which those of us in that age group share, & Gemma doesn't have those yet.
My skin is normal to dry. I think this would be amazing in the summer because it’s so drying. We’re going into winter in Australia so I bought it at a bad time. Looking forward to trying to in the summer. My skin feels tight and dry (and cold) when I use this currently.
That's handy to know. I am 55 with dry skin, in Canberra so virtually no humidity usually lol. I'd love to give this a go.
Ohhh I was waiting for this!!!!!!! Yeeaaahhh! Ty Gemma.
It looks stunning on you! Wow.
Il faut vraiment que je mette la main sur ce fond de tint il a l'air vraiment top
Merci pour cette belle video
I've got a thing about hyaluronic acid in foundation. As it pulls moisturiser from above and below the skin, I'm really concerned that it will cause some dehydration to my already dry skin. Will it do that?
Gotta say Gemma, this is a corker! This looked unbelievably natural and the blend was invisible.
Ok, you're now forgiven for the Cle de Peau 😂😂😂
This pared down makeup look is so beautiful on you. You actually resembled a ballerina - classy and elegant 😍
Sending masses of love to you and yours 💗💞💗💞💗💞💗💞💗💞💗
PS : I'm really interested in hearing what you think of it Jan. Also, have you managed to give a particular lipstick (Gemma it wore a few weeks ago) a new home yet? Hope you're doing well love and you're enjoying life, ❣❣❣❣❣
😂😂😂Do you know, Chrissy, Gem’s kept it all for herself😂😂 …….to be fair though, she forgot to bring it over today. I’ll be trying the foundation after Gem’s finished trying it out fro you all. Lots of love😀xxx
@@janmamawolf2135
Oooooo, selective memory 😂😂😂. I do hope you like it Jan, because it's just so lovely and if it's approved by you then it's a winner, 😊❣💞❣💞❣
I agree with you regarding her beautiful "pared down" look. So pretty compared to the Halloween looks sported on here by the girls who wear 6 shades of glittery eyeshadow and false lashes, and 3 shades of bronzer... it goes on and on.
@@KaraLey98
You got me laughing so much 😂😂😂, thing is, I know exactly what you mean! 🤣xxx
@@chrissymoss514 oh good, cause I was a little worried I might have stepped on some toes! Apparently you can kinda picture the look I'm talking about😉🤗
Thanks for this review :based on your review and the price I think I will try it
Totally off topic.
Check out Charlotte Holdcrofts review on that concealer, I know she addressed that and I think that shade in particular
@@ataylor1604 Will do,thank you for helping me👏💕👍🙂
Hi Gemma, I have a question regarding the foundation colour. Is this a good match? Maybe the problem is caused by my display 🤷🏻♀️ but your chin seems to me kind a red-ish comapared to the neck.
Would you normaly use a colour corrector? (I'm asking because I have a similar problem on my forehead)
Greetings from the CZ 🌼
I’m late to the game but I have to tell that you look gorgeous! I have got to get the foundation and see how it works for me.
Thank you so much. I doesn‘t see this in Germany. May be coming soon. Greetings from here. Evelyn
This looks excellent on you. Estee Lauder Double Wear Sheer is new, could you review this also Gemma?
It's not available yet in the UK xxx
Hi ma'am.. Is it necessary to apply primer
I just recently discovered your channel 😊 and am wondering if you and your mom have done a video on your favorite mascaras 🤔
You look lovely! Can you address what you do to prep your skin on those flaky days?
I like it , it looks really nice 👍 just bought some can’t wait to use it 😁
It looks really good around your smile lines and chin.
Do you have eye shadow on or is it just concealer or foundation to even out your eyes?
I purchased this foundation on the recommendation of influencers. I do not love it. To be fair, I was looking for sheer coverage, more like a tinted moisturizer. This was thicker and heavier, and I found it difficult to blend. I am 59 and my skin tends towards dry. I was really hoping for a serum consistency. This is not that.
Transferproof - your mum will love this 😀
WOW 👌 👏 😍 you look gorgeous 😍 ❤️ I wanna try this one
I was sure this was still not available here in Italy, but I've seen it yesterday at my usual drugstore for a discounted launch price (€13, I know it'll be €20 full price). I'm very curious to try it, maybe I'll go buy it as soon as I come back from work
Is there an pin comment on the update?
*56 the end of this month and crave my bare skin more and more
I would like to find the perfect balance of moisturized looking skin with foundation on.
prep is key!
The problem if this foundation is the limited color selection, also the light medium and pale are both too orange..
That looks so beautiful on you!! 💖
It looked so natural on you so I hope it doesn't dry your skin out. 🤞
Don't forget to hide the foundation haha Great review, can't wait to see what your mam thinks of it ? I was going to buy Burts Bees foundation but I'm spoilt for choice now ☺💕🙈
Every person's experience is difference. I have mature, dry skin. Burt's Bees looked awful on me. 😂
I wanted to try this one.
It looks excellent for a cheaper foundation, but no good for me due to the alcohol content.
Thanks Gemma.
By the way, that Cle de Peau foundation looks heavenly on you! Makes me wish I had that kind of money.
L'Oreal I can swing. 😆
Ahh, seen your picture. You couldn’t look any more beautiful.
Yeah I hear you. The drugstore make up lately is going up in price and seems to almost match high end in price. I don't have much money to work with and soon I won't be able to afford any make up at all with these drugstore prices lately. Apparently this new do it foundation is 20 dollars!
Thank you Gemma, realy something afordeble.I try it so curieus.NICE.
I am a bit confused by the shades - I am fair with a warm undertone would I be able to get the fairest shade? or the 1-2 shade.
Great review!
I bought this and had high hopes however big fail for me . :( perform s more like a tinted moisturizer and the wear was horrible ( blotchy faded). Oh well.
I want to try this
How beautiful!
Thank you 😁
