Yeah, this worked for me, I created a ground line that runs through the firewall from the clutch pedal and onto that violet wire. When the pedal is in, it grounds the circuit and the PCM realizes that the pedal is pressed in and the RPM doesn't spike anymore :)
@@rx8boi654 I cut open another rx8 manuel harness and routed the purple wire to the ecu. I haven't tested it yet. I have an 08 with advanced keyless entery. I sourced an ECU, card key, keyless entry immobilizer, ignition cylinder from an exact 08 model. It still reads the old key for some reason. Was this a problem with the switch blade key?
Just a heads up, grounding that wire for your clutch switch will disable your cruise control. (I know this is an old video)
