Just a quick video on what wire colors you need to connect voltage to in order to move the electric drivers seat for the RX8 back and forward when trying to remove the seat when the battery and ECU are disconnected.

I wanted to be able to attach and remove JDM 'Kari Number' style plates quickly and easily for quick photo op's and when at car shows without needing to screw plates on and off. This is a quick look into how I accomplished this on a Mazda RX8 with some 'Kari Number' plates I produced. Instagram: rx8boi

Just a heads up, grounding that wire for your clutch switch will disable your cruise control. (I know this is an old video)

@@dimitriskl608 what i did make a mistake with the airbag wire ..so the only wire you have to be sure is the airbag wire i took a 12 volt car booster and put a fuse with wire on the red of de car booster and tested all the wires of the seat stay just wait and feel if the seat if the fuse is broken put another dus and test a new setting ..that is wat i did ..search for the airbag wire first ..goodlukck
I have no keys n no key fob how or can I start it
Start or drive? If you want to physically start the car that's one thing, if you want to be able to move / drive it you're going to need keys to unlock the steering lock and the onboard computer is not going to let anything function correctly unless it authenticates the immobiliser chip in the key.

How did you start it with a wire
You bridge the starter solenoid 12+ wire with the 12V supply to the starter motor
I have done conversion and on my 4 port auto to 6 speed 6 port manual. Currently running 4 port abs unit. I changed over a black box behind the glove box, engine ecu amd put the transponder from other car into the new cars key fob. Had to run a wire to starter motor to the ignition. No problems at all and been running for the last year
I'm impressed the original auto ABS worked! I've heard about a heap of issues with PCM erroring out / engine not starting unless you swap out the ABS for the manual unit. Can I ask what year your RX8 is? I've never personally tried the original auto abs unit, I already had it out before I had a chance to test the theory.
Hi The abs is only a problem if the car has DSC which the 4 ports don't . The Dsc talks to the auto ecu. I an doing a 6 port auto to manual swap and have this problem.
Does anyone know if the advanced smart key,card key manual ecus are different from the standard ecus

I had my 2004 AT converted to 2005 MT and have only 1 valet key that works. If I ever lose this key, I am pretty much stuck as well. I have been talking with the mechanic that did my engine swap & he says the same thing, it is a complicated mess that he still does not understand. I am not taking it to the dealer either, as they are more clueless & will rip me off moneywise. I guess I will continue to research for a simpler fix (if there ever is one). Another thing I am struggling with is battery drain...I cannot figure out why it can sit for a week, and it drain a brand new battery. I think it is the security system in it, but do not know how to disable it (yet, still researching that too). Cheers!

at is a 4 port whch revs to 7k mt is a 6 port unit which rev to 9.5 k. extra solenoids. more fueling.

@RX8 BOI update please! Currently dug myself into this mess as well.
Yeah, this worked for me, I created a ground line that runs through the firewall from the clutch pedal and onto that violet wire. When the pedal is in, it grounds the circuit and the PCM realizes that the pedal is pressed in and the RPM doesn't spike anymore :)
@@rx8boi654 I cut open another rx8 manuel harness and routed the purple wire to the ecu. I haven't tested it yet. I have an 08 with advanced keyless entery. I sourced an ECU, card key, keyless entry immobilizer, ignition cylinder from an exact 08 model. It still reads the old key for some reason. Was this a problem with the switch blade key?
