Helpful video. Thanks. Mainly for fitness, I am contemplating both models of Vado and Como. And because I have muscles that get sore from an aerodynamic position, I will want to sit close to straight up...similar to the Como or maybe one of the Vado models with altered stem and bars. Your video contains really good info that enlightens some of these considerations.

Well done, I am leaning towards the Vado, non SL.

Great overview! I love everything about the SL except for the battery not being removable. I’m sure this saved a pound or so by not requiring the battery cells to be in a protected enclosure but it’s such a huge impact to practicality. If stored in a non-climate controlled shed or garage, the battery life will be negatively impacted. A freezing cold battery will also have much less range. And how many bike racks have a power outlet nearby? The majority of offices will not look kindly at a full size bike being wheeled through and left at your desk. This halves the range vs a bike where you can charge the battery at work.
I think in their pursuit of the Super Light moniker, Specialized have made perfect the enemy of good. I hope they introduce a Light version that adds a removable battery and keeps everything else the same.

Agree with you that the battery could be an issue for some. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful helpful comment. 👍

    Great review.
    Thoughts on the IGH?
Looking at Vado 5.0 or 3.0

Does the SL have enough gears to get above 30 mph with reasonable cadence? I understand the motor will be off.

The turbo Vado does not have a range extender option. That is only an option on the SL.
