    Thank you so much for the detail in your video, I was able to cut my husband's hair with no experience cutting hair ever. He has very similar curls/waves as the guy in the video and your video made it so easy to see my cut lines and where to start and end. My husband really liked the way it turned out and was very patient with my lack of skill :)
    P.S. it took me about an hour and a half in total to cut his hair

    OH WOW! I watch several of your videos many, many times and even in slow motion until I memorized them in detail. I just finished SUCCESSFULLY cutting my father in law's hair (Senoir; wavy, but thinning in spots and thick in others) and it was the first time I've cut a man's hair that wasn't a buzz cut. It turned out so successful that it looks like he just left your barber shop & I'm by no means a barber or professional! I can't believe I did it and all thanks to you and your meticulously perfect videos! Thank you from every fiber of my being ❤❤❤❤

    Graphics are excellent, as are your explanations ! I find curly hair can be tricky to cut sometimes, with some curl wrapping over one finger and another curl wrapping over the other finger !! but this really helps. Thanks a million from Australia 🏆👍

    Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve been cutting both of my teenage/20 yr old son’s hair since they were little (i am not a hairstylist) but they now have curly hair like this and it’s a great technique I can’t wait to try! It will probably help their curls lay better and look more natural. I’m going to try it on my youngest son today as he just came home from college for break. Thanks again!

    I’ve been a barber for 3 years now and scissor cutting curly hair is by far the hardest thing for me. It wraps itself around my finger when I add tension and idk how to make it not do that. I don’t even get it wet anymore and just loosely shape it that way.

My bf has curly hair he basically stopped getting haircuts because he says no one cuts it the way he likes. I am a cosmo student but he still doesn't trust me. Watched UA-cam videos and was soooooo nervous 😂

    How to scissor cut curlier hair 3b 3c then this gentleman. Thank you for this video, it has helped.

  • @huskytail
    @huskytail Рік тому +3

    My husband has an quite a bit curlier than the model's and he wants it much shorter so the curl doesn't even begin to form. I cut his hair with tension and I have gotten quite good at it, if I say so myself, but I struggle a little bit with the nape. I want to find a good working, logical system to cut it very short and consistent. I use my hand with the fingers espousing the shape of the nape and cutting basically as short as my fingers are thick. If you could do a video about very curly hair, I'd love to see how you do the nape.

    • @huskytail
      @huskytail Рік тому

      Ops, I only now saw that I made a mess of my first sentence 😬. I wanted to say that he has curlier hair than the model.

    • @theoneminutebarber
      @theoneminutebarber  Рік тому +1

      Of course I think tapering it into the nape creates a nice finish. Do you have a set of clippers. I’d try using a #3 (10mm) or a #4 (12mm) from the very edge of the hair line at the nape, with the blade just touching, flick the clipper out and slightly up. This should create a slightly shorter taper than finger length

    • @huskytail
      @huskytail Рік тому +2

      @@theoneminutebarber oh thank you very much for taking the time to answer. The clippers I have are not of good quality and I fear using them but it is maybe time to upgrade to something nicer and try this. It's somehow a little bit scarier than scissors (although I do cut myself with the scissors every single time I cut his hair 😂) but I think I saw a video of yours where you showed exactly how to do it, so I'll go check again before I destroy his hair and my head rolls 😆.
      Thank you again and please continue with the quality content. 👍

    what would you do with hair that is between afro and this?
    Also, are you holding the comb at an angle to follow the contour of the head? The camera angle makes it a bit difficult to discern.
