Its so true. Married couples should never live with in-laws. But in India these parents think that its the child's responsibility to look after them until death. Abandoning them is not good since India does not have social security for its citizens.

100% accurate and relevant .. can’t agree with you more … in reality over involving in laws just end up being isolated in the end .. kids will grow out of the phase and realise that the involvement isn’t helping .. by then in laws would have already damaged their relationship with their respective daughter/son in laws and then true repair and reconciliation from the heart would be far from thought!

There is a thin line between taking care of your parents/siblings and your wife and children and sometimes depends on the situation. For e.g. Sickness, handicap, mental instability, etc. of a parent/sibling. However, the responsibility of the husband/wife is first towards their spouse and children. In some cases the children need more attention especially if they are infants.

The Word of God is the same as God and should rule our family life not man made Indian culture
Thank you Lord, my mother and father allowed my sisters in law and brothers away from them, but they took advantage of taking away everything more than us, the land, properties, money, etc. My parents wanted them to be happy and independence in dividing the properties. It was hurting me and my sisters. They did not leave anything good for us. But Go's blessed us so abundantly that we could purchased many land after my sister and me got a job or established. Thank you, Lord, for this great blessing..
