great video man! i have a Ronin KWA47 and is a beautiful gun! the range isnt that good, but it is a short barrel, i am not tech savy at all for all these things, could you recommend some easy upgrades to try and increase the range on it?
@@badgerstrike8785 I would suggest a Lambda "Five" 220mm inner barrel, a krytac bucking if you're not R-Hopping, or a Modify Flat bucking if you are R-Hopping! If you are going to upgrade the gearbox, I would suggest doing it all at once using the same quality parts and work shown in this video. The stock gearbox shell has been known to fail miserably without a proper radius and cylinder head. You don't want to have to start the rebuild with a new shell that you can only get from KWA's website IF they're in stock! I have had to do this for customers' broken KWAs in the past! 😅

I sent it back or to a tech and they said that there was an air bubble in the casting of the piston... when i fired the rifle it sounded like the gear box was shredding but i have no idea.. it didnt sound good! but its been returned to me and now it seems to be working - testing it in a game on Sunday so fingers crossed!
@@1dozmos So in my experience, the biggest out of the box flaws or weak points in KWAs are… - Their wiring harnesses lacking any mosfets, and having poor quality tamiya connectors. It’s soooo common for the wires to pull out of the tamiya connector and not properly seat back in. As for the lack of mosfet, this gun needs it because it’s trigger contacts are quick to turn to carbon. - Non ported piston head, and air nozzles offer poor air seal hands down. - While the shell is “reinforced” and certainly looks like a hefty piece, the weight of the non-ported piston head is more than enough to crack the shell rather quickly. There are also two support/ alignment posts for the cylinder head in the shell that are very easy to break off during normal use. If the cylinder posts break, the cylinder head head itself will likely shatter. - Then of course you must also consider correcting AOE as the stock piston has plastic teeth and is susceptible to damage from normal use.

@@1dozmos Normally I’d suggest running the Airsoft gun you have until something breaks, then bringing it to a knowledgeable tech. However, KWA gearboxes can fail catastrophically such that if your end goal is to have a fully built/ tuned AEG, it will be cheaper to have that work done to a KWA that hasn’t broke yet. This is because a new KWA gearbox shell sells for around $70. Not to mention the halves of the shell are sold separately and you need to hope they have it in stock. Then theres the labor and other parts for doing a whole build from scratch from a new shell. So be prepared to dish out a lot of money on repair and upgrade when it fails, or be prepared to move on to a different Airsoft gun when your current one breaks. When you’re new to the sport, you should try to play with as many models and brands as you can so you can find your preferences. Good luck!👍
