I make my own patches from a silicone tube I bought back in the day that has pretty much perfect ID,OD for standard inner barrels. Never had issues. Good video for people who buy precuts though.
@@anonymousalligator4375 ER-Hop territory is all custom mods. You’re making modding everything. The same concept of installing the patch is the same as this video, but there’s no available kits tailored to this purpose. The closest you can buy without having the mod the barrel or make a custom patch is the Paragon Armory spec EDGi in a a Maxx M4A or M4E Hop Up.
@ assuming I have the ability to extend the window and have a patch that would fit it, how big should I make the window? Also how does adjusting a er hop work, I was going to use a 6mm nub and a regular hop up unit, would I need to mod the hop up unit? Appreciate the super quick response btw, you are awesome 😊
@ you will 100% need to mod the hop up unit to make this kind of mod work. You can experiment with it and try different length. My take, I’d prefer a clean R-Hop over a rough modded ER-Hop lol. It’s difficult to get precise cuts to the window with a proper mill, or LOTS of careful filing. All of this is risky and can ruin perfectly good parts. I haven’t seen documented results from ER-Hops that prove significant gains over R-Hops or really good buckings. It’s all multifaceted and there’s a lot of variables that contribute to a BB gats range and accuracy!

Nice explanation, thank you!
Can you make an explanation for er hops? Like how big of a window to make, what nub/patch to use etc
