obsessed with this!!! these books DOMINATED my childhood tbh, like i took stacks of them everywhere and organized them by color and read them oooover and over again. it’s almost embarrassing how many of them i have in a keepsake box tbh
Your range is impeccable 🤯 I also thought Mary-Kate and Ashley wrote the books themselves, I only read three of their Sweet 16 books and I thought it was their actual life stories too 😂not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Love it when you take a trip back to your childhood and also quite impressed that a boy read (what people would assume to be) a "girls book." Good for you for recognizing even back then that a good story is a good story no matter what the supposed gender. I was like that too growing up. I liked "girly girl" things, but also enjoyed things that were (supposedly) generally liked by boys. Like, growing up,I would read Nancy Drew books, but then tune into TV for wacky world of professional wrestling. I know you read Goosebumps, but I was wondering if you were ever into Fear Street or Christopher Pike too? Please do more of these! They were really fun!
EXACTLY! Girls and boys can read whatever they want, the story is always the most important part! I can't remember ever being into Fear Street or Christopher Pike as a kid, but I do want to try and read all of the Fear Street books for a vlog at some point, they're just a little tougher to get hold of these days, but I want to read them all soo bad!
I was a major Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fans growing up. I read all the mystery books, Your Invited Books, Two of a Kind, So Little Time books. I found a lot of them at my local used bookstore and bought them to re read them and it was an experience because I forgot how much I loved them. Remember they can solve any crime by dinnertime. I bought all the books at book fair and when they new they had trading cards you could take out of the back of the books. Now I want to rewatch all my favorite Olsen Twin movies. I watched them non stop. And it is still funny how people can't put two and two together, but in the tv series for their mystery series their younger sister is Elizabeth Olsen who was in a few of their videos and it take people by surprise that Wonda from Marvel is the Olsen Twin's baby sister
Coming back to add if anyone else here remembers those book order forms you would get in school and pouring over them carefully marking off which ones you wanted, give me a thumbs up! LOL! I remember back when I was a kid, twenty dollars would get you sooooo many books (and posters and magazines) from them! Use to ADORE them in school!
I loved Mary Kate and Ashley growing up! Full House was my favorite show. I also loved some of their movies. My favorites were It Takes Two, To Grandmother's House We Go, Winning London, and Double,Double Toil and Trouble.
I'm currently rereading a childhood favourite of mine: The W.I.T.C.H. graphic novel-series, and you are so right. They should solely be based on pure enjoyment 😍
I loved this! When I worked in an elementary school library kids still checked these books out of the library even though they had no idea who Mary Kate and Ashley are.
Thank you for taking me back to the good ole days!!!! i was obsessed with Mary Kate and Ashley own all the movies on VHS and sometimes ill still watch them with my daughter.
Finally got to watching this! The range is fantastic! Lol. I loveeee MK and A! My cousin and i used to pretend we worked at the Olsen and Olsen agency and would fight over who got to be Mary Kate. The best movie was the Sea World one tho!

I had a bunch of the Mary-Kate and Ashley books, from all their series! I also would watch their movies growing up, but specifically their detective series I watched with my younger brother. To Grandmother's House We Go and Double Double Toil and Trouble are a couple movies we would rent over and over again! And you're totally right about pretending to be a detective with your sibling because along with some other kids'/teen media (Inspector Gadget, Harriet the Spy, Get A Clue come to mind rn) we would play detectives! The first Nancy Drew book was my favorite book for a while! I read Nancy Drew and my younger brother read a few of the Hardy Boys books- he wasn't a huge reader unlike me, and now he doesn't even read.
Ah glad you stuck with reading though! And I need to re-watch Double Double Toil and Trouble ASAP, a lot of people have mentioned that in the comments and it really was a profound movie!
We have so many childhood favs in common! Goosebumps, Charmed, Mary-Kate & Ashley, Sabrina the Teenage Witch... And these videos are always so much fun to watch 😄
I loved both Goosebumps and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but haven't picked any of these books up since I was a child. I also adored the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Series books and the Angel books that came out. Funnily enough, I don't have any of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer as I gave them to my friend when she got into the series, but I still have the Angel books.

I didn't read the New Adventures of Mary Kate and Ashley but I read the ones that came out before these ones and I loved them. I remember staying up late and reading the books. Good times.
this brought back memories! I read a lot of the FUll House tie in books back in the day, but I really liked their Seaworld mystery story that also had a movie!
I read some of their other books as a kid as well as Lizzy McGuire but since they are so short I didn’t have the money to buy them since I read them so quickly. But I believe I still have them and my dvd collection. Your video makes me want to reread and rewatch them all 😂 ❤️ I also have a collection of Sabrina the teenage which books which I collected over years and I now proudly display them on my self ✨
My mom found a bunch of my Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley books and brought them to me to give to my niece! She is loving them and now i want to read them again hahah.

Omg soooo nostalgic! I was part of the Mary Kate and Ashley fan club growing up and this brought me back so much. Might need to watch it takes two this weekend.
I was a huge Mary Kate and Ashley fan as a kid! I had a poster of them on my closet door but I wasn't a big reader then so this is so cool to see you read their books!
I forgot about these! Loved them! Also, the game show thing with the twins being slimed reminds me of the episode of Sister Sister when Mary Kate and Ashley guest stared with them in a game show - with slime! 👏🏻😂
NO WAY! I can't remember that Sister Sister episode, but now I want to watch it, it sounds like it could have been some kind of nod to that, cause that's too awesome not to be
I loved these books growing up! I've been collecting all of them for around 12 years now! All of the ones I have are sitting on my daughter's bookcase.💛
I have a ton of these I have been collecting since childhood! Absolutely loved this video and would LOVE to see you read more! I was a huge fan as a kid, heck still am!
This is so delightful! I loved the Mary Kate and Ashley mysteries as a kid, that whole franchise was something I shared with my sister too. My favorite was, I think it’s called The Case of the Screaming Scarecrow. Mary Kate and Ashley are having a Halloween party and need decorations, so when a mysterious new Halloween decoration stand shows up in town they go and buy a scarecrow that the stand owner says he can’t sell- everyone who buys it brings it back and says it’s haunted! The girls don’t believe in ghosts, but as soon as they get the scarecrow home, spooky things start happening that sabotage the party planning! It’s a mystery. No spoilers, but I still remember the cute little ending bit too: they go back into town and see that the Halloween stand has now converted into a Christmas decoration stand, and the owner is now having the same troubles selling a creepy life size snowman statue that people also keep returning to him. He asks the girls if they want to buy it. They quickly say, “Thanks mister, but NO THANKS!” 😆

Lmao I used to hide Laurell k Hamilton covers cuz they looked so cheesy romance I can relate. But you’re an adult now live your life out loud with Mary Kate and Ashley
This was great! I loved these when I was growing up! I loved this show as well! the intro song was yes! I have read so many books two of a kind was my favorites but They also had books novelizations for their movies and Honestly i was hoping to see you come out in a trench coat and hat with a magnifying glass singing the intro song lol Loved this so much! 🧡
Omg, the Mary-Kate and Ashley books! I remember having a handful of books from each series, and it was cool how some tied in with their series and films, although they weren’t only retellings of the films and shows. I really liked how the Two of a Kind series ended up going beyond the scope of the show in a diary format. And I think one of the Sweet 16 books was part tie-in with one of the films, Getting There, but it also fictionalizes the making of the film, including with fictional names of the actors and fictional behind the scenes drama.
This was so much fun to watch (especially your “hihihihi” cracked me up). It made me think about the books I read as a kid; I think they’re called puppy patrol 🤔 Also: I love your shirt.
I remember reading sweet Valley high books and these remind me of those. Theirs also a series called the sweet Valley twins following the same characters but younger if you're interested
I watched a lot of their stuff when I was a teenager!! I haven't read any of their books, I didn't know there were that many. Being from the Netherlands, I've never seen them here, but aww now I want to read some haha. Sorry that it's hard to find them even in the UK! I guess most are found in the US. Very entertaining video! So much nostalgic feelings.
I used to love reading the Mary Kate and Ashley books but they fell off my radar along with the Wishbone books when I got more into historical fiction as a child. I got straight into the Dear Canada and other history fiction books right after and never looked back. However, I loved the Mary Kate and Ashley books so much so I might start collecting them again in future. They are very difficult to find here. They are not even in my library.
They are hard to find here too, I could only get my hands on the 5 I read in this vlog, but there's so many I still need to get! Ooo haven't heard of Wishbone though!
@@GavinReadsItAll I looked it up, and they were actually from the Two of a Kind Diaries series, specifically #29 Love-Set-Match and #30: Making a Splash

@@GavinReadsItAll yup and now you got me out here buying MK and Ashley, Sabrina the teenaged witch, and Charmed books off EBay. When people ask I’m saying You made me😍😍
OMG I used to have a collection of like 50 of these that I shared with a friend. We were obsessed. Sold them in a yard sale after college 😭. So nice to go back 😁
Ahhh get the books back!! haha
I will date myself and say my favorite books growing up were the Trixie Belden Mysteries
Ok now I have to read those! You do have impeccable taste 👌
Omg I need to do a part 2 so I can get that trench coat and sing the theme song 😂
These were my favourite books as a kid lol
omg me and my sister loved mary kate and ashley 😭 this is exactly what i needed
Happy to provide!
Oh the nostalgia, I loved their movies as a kid 😁❤️
Their movies 👌
I know it’s not book related but if you rewatch the movies you need to vlog it!
Okay my CHILDHOOD
You had a great childhood then
“It’s like Daisy Jones and the Six” OMG GAVIN 😂
Will I ever stop 😂
This brings back so many memories. I loved these books when I was younger. Makes me want to read them again
Do it, read them and have a blast!
Love how deep the Mary-Kate and Ashley lore went, we love it!
I love these nostalgic reads videos because I relive so many forgotten memories ♥️
That's just what I wanted with these types of videos, glad it's working 🥰
This was so much fun to watch (especially your “hihihihi” cracked me up). It made me think about the books I read as a kid; I think they’re called puppy patrol 🤔
Also: I love your shirt.
Thank you so much, I got it from Redbubble 😊
Please do more of this series❤️
This was an amazing video, I would love to see another one if you are able to find more!
I remember reading sweet Valley high books and these remind me of those. Theirs also a series called the sweet Valley twins following the same characters but younger if you're interested
I am always interested 👀
There’s also Sweet Valley Kids when I think they are 6/7 ish
I LOVED Mary-Kate and Ashliegh books growing up, I don't think I read the mystery ones though 🤔
Yeah they're super hard to get hold of now but they'll occasionally pop up on eBay haha
Great video, Gavin! Your joy is infectious.
Happy to spread the smiles 🥰
After this week I needed this groundbreaking vlog. SUCH A COMFORT 🥺✨❤️
Oh you 🥰but also hope you're okay ❤
This was exactly what I needed today.
Happy to provide 🥰
I NEED your sweatshirt!! Love!
Also I was OBSESSED with the Olsen twins! Books, movies, tv show and toys!
We should still be obsessed with the Olsen twins ❤
@@GavinReadsItAll So true!
I remember being obsessed with these Mary-Kate and Ashley books that took place at a summer camp, I think they were So Little Time specials?
Oooo I'll have to look it up, summer camps sound fun!
@@GavinReadsItAll I looked it up, and they were actually from the Two of a Kind Diaries series, specifically #29 Love-Set-Match and #30: Making a Splash
I’m going to do an unboxing of all the nostalgic books you prompted me to buy on eBay. I’m getting a few duplicate of the Mary Kate and Ashley books if you’re interested Gavin
I completely forgot about these books!!!!!
Glad to bring the memories back haha
I never had the Mary-Kate and Ashley mystery books but I had some of the Two of a Kind, Sweet 16 and So Little Time books. I don’t remember really reading them though. I loved their shows and movies though.
I really need to do a reread of the Sabrina and Charmed books. I think I have all but two Sabrina’s and I’m not sure how many Charmed I need.
Yesss re-read Charmed and Sabrina, I'm going to be doing that this year!
Very nice Gav! I remember seeing the show advertised as a kid but I never watched it haha
Haha I can barely remember if I ever watched it, I was just always about the movies 😂
