I just loved how you started the video singing "we don't talk about Bruno" 😁😁 I love Encanto, and I just have to say it: you look like a twin of Lin Manuel Miranda 🤯
Ok I’m not the only one who thinks he’s his twin!
This makes me feel much less intimidated by my owned TBR. Don't feel ashamed! Its part of your job! Also, Under the Whispering Door would be the one I'd suggest prioritising. Its one of those that you think its fine or you love it. I was in the love it crowd
The fact that you did this in 24 *edited* minutes is IMPRESSIVE! 🖤 also your library is goaaaals 😍
You seriously have more books on your TBR than our entire local public library has in total. OMG.
The way this video just made me max out my library loans. 😂 So many books, so little time!! I've been really into graphic novels lately; My Brother's Husband really stood out to me for some reason, though I know nothing about it. I'm excited!
The editions you have of those classic books are stunning. Just beautiful.
I read Six crimson cranes in two days, it was super unique and I was stuck in the world the author created. While I was nearing the end I kept thinking/hoping/wanting a sequel....that's when I know its a 5 star book for me ;) Love your videos!
I believe the sequel is coming in August or September
Honestly, all of the Encanto songs need to leave my head but they never will because I just keep replaying them over and over again! Why must they bes so good?! Also, almost my entire bookshelf is unread but I'm trying to get better at reading them!
I literally see you everywhere
@@twistytrombone2453 😂😂😂😂
The Thursday murder club is really fun. They are not groundbreaking mysteries but are so sweet and so much fun
Thanks! Now I'm feeling not so bad for hoarding my books.
I spun the random number generator five times for you (May it help or not. Who knows? 🤷♀). These are the books it presented:
105 - Anya and the Dragon
280 - The Titanic Detective Agency
359 - Ottilie Colter and the Narroway Hunt
517 - Girl in the Walls
647 - The Raven Boys (Technically some book in the middle of this series, but one has to start at the beginnig, not? 🤣)
It was very generous because it didn't touched the big series in the middle of the video.
Happy collecting (Because: It's not hoarding if it's books! 😆) and have fun reading some of those gems!
And I thought my tbr of just 26 books gave me anxiety 😂
I can't wait for you to read The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse; Flowers in the attic and Inkheart!
I sorted by bookshelves today too!!! honestly special editions of classics are the most beautiful things in this world
I am loving the aesthetic covers of your classics!
I adore your classics collection. The editions are all so beautiful! ✨
Love that we get to see your whole collection! :)
Thank you so much for doing this. I thought I was the only one with over 600 books on my TBR list. I honestly feel so much better.
I can't get over how beautiful these covers are!!
I love these video’s and at least it gives you a list to go from for a “read the viewers pick” as a not tbr pick x
I loooved nevernight!! this list is full of books i really want to get to haha
Alright, Gavin. Make me feel better about *my* unread collection. 💜 We're all in this struggle together.
i finally had that song out of my head and NOW ITS BACK!!! good thing its a bop lmao
Punching the Air was SO GOOD and really well done
the invincible life of addie larue is so beautiful!
Definitely recommend Percy Jackson! 😍
WOW, that is a pretty hefty TBR.. You mentioned it took 2 hrs, but that was very impressive. Thank you for sharing. Loved the singing & dancing at the begining :)
The last two songs of magic books are both incredible. Especially A Vanishing of Griffins. A mouse called miika and Oliver Twist are also some of my favorites. The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse
I was feeling so good about my shelves and then remembered my cart. Its amazing how many books you can get on a cart. 😭 Good luck reading, you have many of my all-time favorites in there.
A Monster Calls is definitely a must read. That book made me cry! I think you'll love it.
U just became one of my fave booktuber hahaha with your amazing personality
As someone whose physical TBR contains 200+ books, it comforts me to know there's at least one person out there with more X D
I have 1,206 and would love to do a video like this but it would probably take me forever hahaha 🤣😂
@@merfaewit #goals
Wow this must’ve taken so much time/editing, you’re incredible! 🙌🏼. I’d love to see you read Legally Blonde/The Devil Wears Prada/Jaws/Jurassic Park/The Shining/Pride & Prejudice etc; and compare them to the movies! Sort of like what you’ve done with the Disney classics 😊
I have been on a huge graphic novel kick this past year, and When Stars Are Scattered, the Okay Witch, The Promise, Tea Dragon Tapestry, and Stargazing are AMAZING. Hooky and The Magic Fish are on my tbr as well, so I'm looking forward to see you read those!
Thanks for getting Encanto songs stuck in my head again. Though if I am being honest they've been stuck since I watched the movie not only once but five days in a row. What a great collection you have.
That song will never leave my head!!!
p.s loving the library
Omg that sweatshirt 😂😍
So many good choices! I’m reading The Mercies soon to fulfill a prompt for a sapphic readathon, so I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts on it in the near-it’s future!
Well this makes me feel a lot better about my 120+ unread owned books 😂😂😂😂😂
We don’t talk about Bruno has been stuck in my head for days and I put this on right before bed when it had finally left my head and then it immediately makes a comeback 👿😂
Oh! I love love love Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library... anyone who loves to read will find it so fun with allusions to all kinds of books you are familiar with. Additionally- Cornielia Funke is so good and one of my favorite middle grade authors- Dragon Rider is fantastic. My bookshelves are very similar- you are not alone!
just here to share some love and am thinking of you. sending you well wishes to your family and hope your dad recovers quickly
Ooh I do love Strange Case of the Alchemist Daughte and Piranesi! I enjoyed the Edge Chronicles growing up
Maya and the Rising Dark, Cemetery Boys, and The Gilded Ones are all incredible books! 😍
Oh I love The Lighthouse Witches! Please read that one
So many good middle grades you need to get to yet!!! :)
The Whistling, I just got that and need a buddy read, along with Middle Game
Recursion if you want something to mess with your mind. Very well done.
I suggest bouncing between graphic novels and manga too; always quick reads.
You should do a long video with all the graphic novels and then the mangas. They’re usually quick reads. :)
I would say The Bookshop of Dust and Dreams should go towards the top of the TBR. I read it in November for Believeathon and it was so good! Which was a little surprising considering that time travel plays such a big role and I really desist time travel. But I feel like this book did it well and I didn't mind. It has bookwanders vibes but totally a different story and I just really think you will enjoy it.
Lost in A Book, Unbirthday (and the rest of the series), the invisible life of Addie LaRue, Doctor Sleep, Salem’s Lot, Hitchiker’s guide to the galaxy series, Dark Matter, Bird Box is on my TBR list too!!!
Honestly nothing shocked me more then seeing Six of Crows on this list. Also I read and completely loved Six Crimson Crane and I have heard such good things about Iron Widow so thats right up there on my list.
Six Crimson Cranes was wonderful. I really enjoyed it and I cannot wait to read more from Elizabeth Lim. And I love the Brown Sisters trilogy so hopefully you read and enjoy them all
Felix ever After is such a good book, it made me cry which doesn‘t happen very often
OMG Gav!! soooo many not read 👀👀 hope you get some read this year and make it a goal for 2023 - at least 1 less of this number on the physical TBR
🖤😎
I feel a How to Train your Dragon vlog week coming!!
Iron Widow! I flew through it in a day, it’s fantastic
I’ve read all the Disney Twisted Tales and loved them. If you love a Disney mash up then get these read soon! Xx
Charmed Life was one of my FAVORITE books growing up. I also adored the Gregor books by Suzanne Collins
The Raven and the Reindeer by T.Kingfisher is really good and perfect for Polarthon.
Read the Griffin Gate series and Harley Hitch! Also, Peculiar Incident on Shady Street, Greenglass House novels, finish the Roar series, and the Train to Impossible places series. ❤️
It's cool that you have Alex Pheby's book, he was my English and Creative Writing lecturer at Sunderland uni 10 years ago!
You definitely need to put Concrete Rose on your next TBR. It’s my second best of Angie Thomas’ books after The Hate You Give
Inkheart was my childhood favourite! 😍 time to reread I guess
I loved Cemetery Boys! I think you'll love it too! :D
Cemetery Boys is incredible
Gavin please I was JUST getting We Don't Talk About Bruno out of my head 😔
Punching The Air and October October are two of my favourite books ever and you will love them! October October is so you!
oh get in with Dark Tower, just remember things only start to get good on book 2, and keyhole book is inbetween 4 and 5
Check, Please! was adorable, and the audio for Under the Whispering Door was pretty good. UtWD did make me cry a few times, so beware.
*tries desperately to avoid looking at my bookshelves through the entirety of the video*
the Classic Tales of.....HORROR made me giggle😂
New subscriber here! I really hope you've gotten round to reading Meddling Kids, I read it last year and loved it!
You should do a romcom comparison video .
Also you should read the deadly education books my favourite of 2021 plus your editions are beautiful
The Wolf Den and Jade City are worth the read!
I am glad to see that I am not the only one with a mountain of unread books! Lol
Most looking forward for you to read threadneedle, these hollow vows and tender is the flesh it was such a weird book but i actually really enjoyed it
oh and jurassic park!
I love LOVED the Gregor the Overlander series! I keep thinking about going back to reread it but I can't ever find my copies ;v;
WE DONT TALK ABOUT BRUNOOOOO, Lin Manual Miranda is a icon!
Ok, top picks: Pride and Prejudice, And Then There Were None, Animal Farm, El Deafo, Recursion, Dark Matter, Felix Ever After, Dani Brown, Eve Brown... and continuing with Grishaverse to get to Six of Crows :- D
Beauty and the Beast Lost in a Book by Jennifer Donnelly was super fun, also her Waterfire saga series used to be my favorite series ever! And House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig was really good as well
Tender is the Flesh is very interesting.
Song for a Whale! It’s really good!
Dont be ashamed Gavin, I have unread books in the thousand mark😂 The joy and love of being a Waterstones Bookseller.x
The Raven Boys series, again I think you would love it.
Don’t be ashamed of being a book Collector as well as a book Reader. I am in exactly the same position and I really am not fussed. Books are our thing whether some will just be looked at and eventually read or read as soon as they come in.
One book I would like to see you read as well, only because I have got it and that is Cloud Cuckoo Land. I am bricking myself about reading it
Ooooooooo one of my favorite middle grades is the Podkin series and I haven’t really seen people talk about it….you should pick that one up! It’s the hobbit but with rabbits
Gregor the Overlander series!
So m many good books I would definitely prioritise Punching the Air, The Boy the Fox the Mole and the Horse, all of the Percy Jackson’s definitely it’s one of my fave MG series, I’m reading Addie LaRue currently I’d definitely recommend, yes I love Throne of Glass series, These Violent Delights duology, Kingdom of the Wicked, The Prison Healer, Malice, Defy the Night, The Crown of Gilded Bones, Grishaverse, Felix Ever After, Take a Hint Dani Brown & Act Your Age Eve Brown, Alice Oseman Novellas are amazing, The Raven Cycle
I would love to see you opinions on Podkin One Ear (one of my favorites or 2021 that I read because of one of your videos), Cemetery Boys, and Iron Widow.
Tender is the flesh is quite literally the best most original book I’ve ever read I highly highly recommend
The DollMaker of Krakow is amazing
I highly rec: Once Upon an Eid; Inkheart; Percy Jackson!!! Also, Cemetery Boys & Felix Ever After
GAV YOU HAVENT READ CEMETERY BOYS??? oh my god i hope you love it whenever you pick it up it made me cry 😭 also this video makes me feel better about my own owned tbr 🥴
You really need to prioritise Dune as well as the Goosebumps series, Mr Mercedes, The Shining and Needful Things Gav. Good luck with your unread books.🤓
I had to stop this video right here and now. I read My Brother’s Husband last year, volumes 1 and 2. They are EXCELLENT! Those are so well done. Please read them! 😊
I would highly recommend Piranesi and The Fifth Season. Piranesi was in my top 10 of 2020 and The Fifth Season was in my top 10 of 2021.
Also I don't remember all the Stephen Kings you had but I would highly recommend reading The Shining and skipping Doctor Sleep.
You need to read My Brother's Husband immediately. That is a great manga/graphic novel! Plus you can read it in one sitting.
You should read Echo Mountain, The One and Only Ivan, Throne of Glass and Black Sun. Those are the ones I've read and enjoyed.
I read Wuthering Heights in December and it will be perfect for when you want to root *against* characters 😂 I loved to hate some of them, honestly it was therapeutic
Malice. The sequel: Misrule is coming out this year. Malibu Rising. Cemetery Boys. Learn my Lesson. The Cousins. Concrete Rose.
Rooftoppers (MUST READ)
I love Neverwhere by Gaimain but few around me have read this, would love your take. I’m currently reading Cytonic, it’s a lot of fun so far. 😉
