    I kid you not i thought it was cake from the thumbnail.
    I'm still in high-school, but last year, before Corona, I was in Pottery. There you get to work with clay and make things. You color it woth glaze and fire it. It was so much fun and really relaxing, even though I would always get hurt with the knives or tools we used (still don't know why my teacher trusted me with any of that, he would always shake his head and give me a band aid but still have a smile on his face). When Covid happened I had to stay home, meaning no more Pottery. I'm still home meaning I can't take that class anymore, I also learned that my art teacher left. I miss it so much, but its nice to see you get into it.

    Woke up 3 hours later.

    As a note for dice, for realism, apposing numbered faces should always equal the highest number plus the lowest number. So on a 6 sided die, the (1 and 6), (2 and 5), and (3 and 4) are on opposite sides of each other. [1+6=7; 2+5=7; 3+4=7] Of course for art, always do what you're inspired to do.

      Not just with a six-sided die, but no matter the number of sides, traditionally the opposite sides are always going to add up to a value of the number of sides plus 1. The highest number (the same number as the number of sides) is almost always directly across from the one, if it was made with the traditional layout in mind. Source: I make dice in my spare time

      I have zero knowledge here so I'm hoping you can educate me. What's the difference between glaze and resin? I know some glazes contain lead sadly I have some pottery that contain lead and didn't even know it.

      @aaliyah.4650 3 роки тому

      @@XX-fd1ix I’m not sure but I think a glaze is just more of a paint type deal that can be used as a sealant and sometimes also a colorant but resin is actually more of a plastic to protect the things she made

    I would suggested sticking individual parts (like the frog on the lilli pad) together with liquid clay so that it won’t come apart in the future and the “joint” will become permanent

    I love your vintage aesthetic :)) Your so talented but what I must ask is how do u not make a mess and get it so smooth without using water? Whenever I make stuff with clay I always it all over my fingers and it leaves my hands dry even after I moisturise

    • @aishalipovica7290
      @aishalipovica7290 3 роки тому

      Do you use air dry clay? I find that the exact same happens to my hand when I’m creating things and water is needed. She’s using polymer clay, I don’t think that requires water and is much softer to handle.

    just a reminder, you should wear gloves when you are using resin, resin is very toxic and harmful. Oh and you have to protect your face and eyes also!

    Please please please do NOT use resin without gloves and a proper respirator mask! Polyurethane as well as epoxy resin can and will damage your lungs if you breathe in the fumes especially while it cures. I know you don’t smell it, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. Also, resin can lead to extreme allergic reactions on your skin. I don’t know why so many people especially here on UA-cam seem to not care about safety at all when it comes to resin, I think maybe because there is so much misinformation about it everywhere unfortunately...
    I recommend AmyMade here on UA-cam if you want to hear more about the correct ways to use resin, she’s super sweet and has been working with it for years! :)
    Stay safe!
