You inspired me to go to Choosing Keeping when I was in London for a day and a half a month or two ago (coming from Belgium). A lovely shop. I bought a single journal bound in Japanese paper with good paper for dip pen and ink, and I'm looking forward to starting it when I'm done with my current one.
Thank you so much for this video, as well as all others you have shared in your channel. I felt like crying a bit, when watching. It has been a shitty day, but it was so comforting and peaceful and beautiful. It made me feel better.

Ahh the colour palette of the Holbein pencils and precious stone pastels made me smile, it’s just so pretty
I have the straw paper sketch pad!! I use it with my charcoals, you have to lay down quite a bit if you want to blend but I find using it to be so inspiring, I sit down to do one study and I end up doing two or three or four sketches alongside.

I wonder if you bought or kept a piece of blotter paper underneath where you’re painting with gouache it would help with absorbing the moisture and preventing less warping?
