the clay varnish u used is as durable as uv resin so u can skip one or the other since they both r used for the same purpose. the varnish only needs a well-ventilated area and is washable if it gets on your hands. uv resin on the other hand is dangerous n needs safety equipment like a respirator and gloves and is more demanding with curing and exposing urself to uv rays. i switched to the clay varnish a long time ago and ive never been happier with how fast im progressing with my pieces uv resin pros: "fast" curing time, shiny, very durable like hard plastic when it cures cons: requires more expensive safety equipment, curing time depends on the brand (some say only 2 mins but actually require more time), uv curer strained my eyes. yellows over time (also depends on the brand). has a learning curve to now how to work with it. clay varnish pros: 30 mins curing time, very thick so a little goes a long way like resin but resin becomes drippy while varnish stays in its place. shiny. has a liiiiiiiittle yellow tint n protects ur pieces from uv rays so it wont yellow. straight forward to use. cons: smells a little acidic so be sure to have a fan next to u. if ur working on bigger projects it can get streaky so be sure to apply enough varnish with steady slow application to avoid streaks.
Omg I’ll take note of this!! Thank you so much! (•ᴗ•❁) I loved using both since I don’t rush in my restocks but whenever I have a rush custom order, the curing of resin isn’t much of a problem since it’s very sunny in our country! (but using a UV lamp only takes about an hour or 2 depending on how big they are!) I’d love to give a try making clay pieces with only a clay varnish and resin so I can compare them! This is a very helpful tip! 🫶🏻
When using polymer clay its better to use oil to condition and soften your clay. Usually unscented baby oil is what I use. Some people will use mineral oil.

you can use rubbing alchohol to soften your clay! and it also helps to clean your clay as well, just dip a q-tip in some rubbing alchohol! oh also to roll your clay super thin, use a notepad, its ten times better! you are so good at clay art like 10/10!!! where is your shop link i'd like to check it out

hello! no, I don’t use any glue. Polymer clays are easy to attach together since they stick very well, I recommend applying a bit of water (which will serve as your glue) and gently press it but with a pressure too!
Hiii did you use safety precaution when using resin? and if possible could you also give tips on how to use them / cure the chams since I want to try making clay charms too ^^ Love the designs and process btw :P Thanks! 💗💗
I am watching your video, maybe you need a playdough or polimerclay rolling machine. Or maybe by the end of the video you mention it, (I haven't gotten to that part yet.) I have seen other artists like you using it and it's very helpful, especially because their fingers don't get so tired.
Did you mix the clays together to get the cute pastel colors? I wish you showed that part, because for some reason color mixing with clay intimidates me 😭🥲 everything turned out super cute btw! 🫶💓
Hello! for the clay varnish I only waited 1hr (tho 30mins is enough) and as for the resin, it depends because I use the natural sunlight (at least an hour) and UV lamp (depends if it’s not sticky anymore and just the way I like it! :))
Hi girlie! Loved the video. A suggestion: change the colour of your subtitles to something dark next time. It was incredibly hard to see that pastel yellow on the white background esp @8:33 😭😭
Hello! I keep my white clays clean by using gloves and changing gloves depending on the clay color (since they sometimes stain, but if you don’t have gloves you can just wash your hands when needed!) I also suggest keeping your workspace clean and use a lint roller :)) Tbh I still struggle in keeping it clean from the dirt/pet fur but I usually use a cutter to pull/remove it!

Hello, Thank you so much! (•ᴗ•❁) The clay varnish I’m using is from Mont Marte and it’s called Gloss Clay Varnish which is Ideal for polymer or air Hardening clays! It is indeed water-proof and my clay charms already looks good even without resin so I believe that it’s completely optional to use resin after the clay varnish, but I still use resin for a more shiny and good outcome! I sometimes use UV lamps when curing my clays and they take very long to finish, probably about 4-6hrs or more depending on it’s size!
