I have the blue version and it's interesting to me that they actually did drill out and thread the opposite side liners for the pocket clip, but unlike previous versions of the Moyarl they actually sunk the clip into the scale a bit and I would assume for aesthetic reasons they didn't want that "divot" on the non-clip side. but I do wonder if one could simply drill their own holes into the Micarta and make it work for lefty carry. Still a weird design choice, but it is what it is.
I have had mine for a few days now. I agree with all of your opinions on the clip placement and left-handed options. My biggest issue (and its just a little nitpick on my part) is the choice of using a screw head for the lock bar. When I manipulate the lock (i tend to fidget quite a bit) the screw head causes a hot-spot on my index finger and thumb. Its not that big of a deal and I understand that its made to a price point but it would be nice to have a fully milled lock bar rather than one that is held together with screws.
My question is this. Why in hell would anyone ever pay *$170* for a plastic handled Bugout again, why they could have this for $60? They'd have to be insane. If my only knives were 10 Bugouts, I'd trade all 10 for one of these.
My liner lock one fails pretty easy, I tried to contact Miguron a couple times just to exchange it but never got a response, I'm really liking some of their designs but I don't want to give them my money again when they can't even bother to respond for a simple exchange
@joshglaze6571 I worried about that also but it's held up well I've cut lots small gauge wire insulation and a good amount of cardboard and box straps and not a scratch in sight so far.
Thanks for calling them out for not milling for a left pocket carry. Knife looks Steller btw. Keep up the amazing reviews. Us south paws appreciate the safety of blade to seam pocket carry too.
I just got mine. The first one had a blade that was totally off center and the blade had significant play side to side. I sent it back and got the second one which was also way off center and had even more play side to side. Both were stickered “QC Passed”. I don’t think Miguron has quite figured out the crossbar yet.
My left pocket is absolutely pissed off after linerlock being spot on with clip and now the premium version AND THE BAR LOCK version don't have a reversible clip. Waited so long for the premium version.
I kind of like it when they don't have pocket clip holes for wrong handed people, it keeps the show side clean. In all seriousness, they should make left and right handed knives.
I really like the ergos of the Moyarl, because it's very similar to one of my all time favorites Buck 882, the Strider/Tarani collab from about 25 years ago.
Mine took a wicked mirror edge and seemed plenty hard enough to keep it. 14c28 is definitely a great budget range steel, but starting to climb in price as becomes the darling steel of the budget world.
It's the tiny things that discouraged me from getting this knife. I want a deep carry clip and this much of knife poking from my pocket is near unacceptable for me. Plus, I'm a righty, but the lack of left-handed mounting options irks me from some convoluted philosophical reason. That's why I'm hoping they will listen to you and fix the darn clip. I'm also a fob guy. Not only it adds some personality, but also makes it easier for me personally to use the knife. On some knives (Civivi Amirite) it brought up the ergos to 11 and on others (Sencut Watauga) it provided proper grip and support for my pinkie. At least this particular gripe with the Moyarl can be fixed with 3D-printed custom backspacer...
By the pictures on Instagram they almost eliminated the thumbhole for a thumb stud..glad they didn't go with that. Also have seen alot of lock fail for the liner lock..I don't spine wack my knives so that's a non factor, but I love the grey pvd with blue micarta version which is the one I went with.
A crossbar Velona with the issues you described fixed would be AWESOME! I would disagree with your calling this a "very good knife." I think its a good knife with great potential if they fix the items you mentioned. Holding off hoping for an improved version.
Be careful ordering directly from Miguron. I started to order one bar lock Moyarl from them and the total came up $483. I canceled that order promptly, and the site kept asking me to complete the order. I did not lose any money, and maybe I did something wrong on my end, but I just say be careful ordering directly from Miguron. That said, it is a great looking knife and I will probably get one from a retailer.
I like either a pocket clip like that one with some knife above your pants, or a deep carry clip the size of Microtech's because you have to have something to grab on to. A small, deep carry clip is almost useless when you go to grab it. Oh, and nobody cares about left-handed people.
This one had been on my wish list but I’m saving money for some special purchases. I’d probably own it by now if not for the one major flaw-No lanyard attachment 😁
OK, I'll bite. Why can't someone pin their knife against the front seam of their pocket, instead of pinning it against the back seam of their pocket? And I ask this as someone that rarely clips their knife in their pocket, because I'm not supposed to have a knife at work, so I'm always renegade carrying two knives loose in two pockets, just loose. I've cut my hand once in a loose knife that opened in my pocket, and the cut was minor, and the knife was a razor sharp Manix Id installed a super soft spring in.
I am not agree. I realy don't like the embidextrians knives. I realy prefer the compankes make to knkves. One for the righty. And one other for the lefty. Like that, no anuseful holes in the handle. I am shure the cost should be the same for them !!
At the end of the day you can't have your cake and eat it, too. Budget knife, budget heat treat. On the other hand, $500+ knives with M390 between 58-60 HRC? Go home 😐
Miguron are evil lefty hating monsters 😢 they just refuse to do the smallest things to include us. The velona and basic Moyarl are the only ones with lefty clip positions and none of the premium ones have ambi clips 😢😢😢
Don’t waste our time with the tapping shit. Either do it with an appropriate amount of pressure or completely ignore it. Just like you say about manufacturing. By the way, yelling is just annoying and when You start I start to fast forward and find by the timeI you dtop your upload is over.

I just recieved this one about 3 days ago. It’s nice! No complaints! Nice review.

Probably the only reason I haven't tried Miguron is the lack of deep carry
I don't mind non deep carry. It leaves me something to grab onto.
My liner lock one fails pretty easy, I tried to contact Miguron a couple times just to exchange it but never got a response, I'm really liking some of their designs but I don't want to give them my money again when they can't even bother to respond for a simple exchange
I have the blue version with the gray coated blade. Oh man do i really love this knife!
Have the Blue with Gray pvd and I love it been carrying it for the last 3 weeks
That’s the one I want! It sold out sooo fast. Lol
@joshglaze6571 yeah they sold quick I ended up getting mine off Amazon and still had to wait about 2 weeks until they were restocked.
How does the Gray PVD hold up? I love the color but I’ve wondered about the durability.
@joshglaze6571 I worried about that also but it's held up well I've cut lots small gauge wire insulation and a good amount of cardboard and box straps and not a scratch in sight so far.

"Im going to speed thru it"
Still managed to make a 20 minute video 😂

Can anyone recommend a good full set of small torx bits that is actually complete? I have several sets but still nothing fits my raccoon...
I am agree with you about the clip and screws emplacement ..! ^^
I'm loving miguron knives more and more. 2 thumbs 👍 👌 up

Which Miguron front flipper would you say is the best all around MC?
Just picked it up. Black pvd 14c28n black micarta
I wish they would improve the materials of the liner lock version.
Spring tension was too light for me.
This medium Miguron is nice. It make me think of the Racoon. Or the Hectare ..! ^^
What does the knife weigh?
What's the behind the edge thickness?
Between this and a top liner lock raccoon which would you pick? Also would look at the liner lock since it’s 15 less than the raccoon…

that blade reminds me of a Buck 113
I ordered one a month ago. Still waiting
Does anyone know if the kizer deep carry titanium will fit?
Would grab if it was thinner
I’ve actually had a knife open in my pocket, moving furniture. Fortunately no stitches were needed, But I did cut myself.
Deep carry switchable clip on this and we have a winner.
I can’t lie I’m left handed but keep all my knives pocket clips right handed I love carrying them in my left pocket tip up
57-59 is a bit low for me particularly the 57 or 58.
Same. I bought one and it just flops around in the wind
@@MrCrossj lol
Miguron, about 10% of pocket knife users are waiting for you to open up those holes. 😳
I'd say 10% is an extremely low guess even.
As a righty, it doesn't bother me in the least.😂👍
This knife feels more expensive than my bugout. I made my friend buy one because he didn't have a knife.

i own both versions and the liner lock has ambi mounting lol
Hell yeah sweet
Sooooo this or racoon that is the question 🤔

yet another FAIL ...no LEFT Carry clip, Automatic FAIL!
droolicious
