I’m taking a Broadway Solos class where I have to choose three songs to sing during the class and one of those three songs I will be singing at the final recital. I’m seriously considering “Speechless” from the live action Aladdin. However, in the original key, the low notes in the verses are a little too low for me. But if I take it up a key, the high notes in the chorus are too high. What do you suggest for this issue?
Hi, Hanadi BK. You may find my online singing course helpful - drdan.co/onlinesinginglessons. Feel free to check it out sometime. The first module is free to preview!
Maybe you’re singing incorrectly, if it hurts to do warmups and/or sing maybe try singing in a lower range. Check if you’re faking a voice too, I know I tend to do that a lot without realizing. Hopefully this helps :)

This cool down and warm up is my go to, please never remove them 😆 The difference after watching your videos and doing the exercises are AMAZING!
Glad you like them!
I've been doing this for a week and it's so helpful
Great to hear!
I needed this so much today. Always grateful for your resources.
Do it every day thanks🤩
I just learned about vocal cool downs, I’ve done vocal warmups so I’m excited to see how this will benefit my voice
They key is to have a 'mesh nebuliser' that uses sterile saline solution. You might like to check out the 'Vocal Mist' nebulizer.
I love this will it be good for operas too ?
Enjoyable!! I love it. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Que video tan divertido! 😁
So do vocal cool downs come after a vocal workout or before?
Vocal cool downs come after vocal load of any type.
Really enjoyable thanks Dr Dan! 👍🙂
My pleasure!

Makenzie Kate, I would recommend leaving it in the lower key...
@@DrDanRobinson Thank you!
Hello Dr Dan, I was wondering how can I do the range extend exercises without hurting my voice?

Hey Dr Dan, is 5 minutes the optimal time for a vocal cool down or can it vary?
Thank you :)
5 mins should do it...
Doing this because my voice always gets hoarse after I warm up/ or sing 😞
