Bruce is the only singer who can shut up a stadium of thousands and thousands of people, making them cling to every single word of his.
Only one other singer could do that - Freddie Mercury. Once we lost Freddie, Bruce was out on his own as the greatest frontman.

I suggest to check out "Empire Of The Clouds", "The Red And The Black", "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner", "Alexander The Great", "Seventh So Of A Seventh Son", "The Wrtiting On The Wall ", "Hell On Earth", "The Parchment" or "The Clairvoyant" ... These are really some of the best songs done by them in the last 40 years...
Goes to show how Maiden reaches each fan. Tome Empire of clouds and red and the black are awful songs. Apart from the first to tracks on the book of souls album i think it's one of their worst albums ever, it's so boring and repetitive. The fact the newest album already has more views on most of the tracks says a lot. All the other songs you mentioned i agree with, epic.
That‘s really awesome, non of these song are in my personal top-20 😀 But that‘s ok, Maiden got so many excellent songs so that everybody will find their own favorites 👍 Btw., „Dance of Death“ is my personal #4 😊
Hell on Heart is one of the best ever songs they have made
Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Alexander the Great are freaking epic. They one of the best compositions of theirs.
From this same Maiden concert (En Vivo), you're almost guaranteed to be blown away by The Talisman.
I got this CD when it first came out way back in 2003 and then saw them perform the song live at The Universal Amphitheater in Universal Studios. It is still one of my favorite IM songs. Great storytelling and atmosphere. The whole Maiden catalog from 1980 to 2021 is great.

I suggest the song "Empire of the Clouds" of the album "The Book of Souls", its their longest song with 18 minutes but it's a masterpiece about the tragedy of the R101, an aircraft that collapsed on France about 1930; the time flows by always that I listen to that song...

One of the greatest live bands of all time.
I first saw them in 1986 on the Somewhere in Time tour... I was in the 8th grade, and my mom let me go to the concert by myself.
For stage show, the only competition I've ever seen was Roger Waters doing The Wall, and, oddly enough for an old rocker like me, Lady Gaga on the Monster Ball tour in Las Vegas. (Afterwards, I learned that she's a metalhead and a huge Iron Maiden fan, so it actually makes me sense than you'd think...)

these old geezers are still tight, love one another and still have soooo much energy. they achieved their success through playing like this for over 40 years and their fan base is multi generational. word of mouth, huge concerts and album sales got them to the top of the tree as they hardly ever got much time on radio as so many more inferior bands do. they have influenced so many bands that followed them. their influences were judas priest, deep purple to name but two. some would say deep purple started the metal genre.
I had the pleasure to see these old geezers a month or so ago. It was far from being my first time listening to them live, but I am happy to say that they can still pull a memorable performance.

Hallowed be thy name is an absolute must listen to. Considered one of the best metal songs ever written. Watch either the 1982 version or the flight 666 version. Or even both would be a good reaction to watch as you get to see the difference of the band in its younger era compared to its more modern one

Very cool reaction to this song 👍🤟🤟. My favorite heavy metal band. There's no other band who is original and authentic as these guys.🤟🤟 UP THE IRON'S 🤟🤟. Maiden sound so good live than most of the other bands sound in their studio. As far as I am concerned there are no bad songs when it comes to Iron Maiden. My fav Maiden track is "Stranger In A Strange Land"..it's how I feel...But never seen a good live recording. But the offical video it good...And I also like "Caught Somewhere In Time".....The guitar break makes my heart rise.
Adrian’s solo on Stranger… is one of his absolute best, and when you consider how many solos he has written, that’s saying something. Wasted Years is my favourite, another of Adrian’s best, he absolutely owned it on Somewhere In Time.

Just came back from their concert at Castle rock Donnington now known as Download (whatever) used to be a cooler name "monsters of Rock " guess that triggered some subhuman being, so now we are stuck with Download , ok I shall continue huge Iron Maiden fan I've seen them numerous times (can't remember) what I've got to say is WOW, WOW, WOW greatest band ever!!! no wonder they where voted by Planet Rock as the best Heavy Metal band of ALL TIMES !! and I wholeheartedly agree!!!
I suggest you check out the band Liliac. They have an 80’s metal sound. They do covers, including a great cover of The Trooper by Iron Maiden, and also have some incredible original music.
