Jeff and Rob from Greene Street Joinery and I are planning to build one furniture project each quarter inspired by a TV show or movie. If you have a favorite movie or have seen a cool piece of furniture in a TV show, let us know in the comments down below, and your idea will be considered for an upcoming project.
Thanks for watching, Jon

Looking forward to it
I always loved the entry doors into the New York apartment on “Family Affair” in the 1960’s. The door knobs were in the center of the doors, and they had those huge backplates.
Great idea about doing furniture from a tv show . Just wondering if you guys know that Andy Rooney from 20/20 was a wood worker . He did some really nice pieces .
Thanks! I did know that pretty cool! 👍
Make a pie safe with copper fronts and sides. Those are used for so much different storage through out a house.
I love it.
The coffee table in Frasier’s apartment. Simple lines but interesting challenges. The legs especially.
Love the legs on that table!
How about insulated shed double doors? Or a mcm rocking chair? Or an outdoor corner storage bench that has two pieces with a planter box in between them n the corner. Must be waterproof for storage.
Rolling back in my head, I'm wondering how many different pieces could be picked out from shows like "The Waltons" or "The Andy Griffith Show"? Hundreds of hours of review, but just a thought. I'm looking forward to see what y'all come up with~!
I know it’s not furniture but Nick Offermans character Ron Swanson’s canoe from Parks and Rec would be pretty cool.
Great Show! That’s a major project! Maybe one day would be cool
Very cool idea. Man From U.N.CLE movie looks phenomenal, super stylish. Sure there is something in there. Queens Gambit is a brilliant series too and has some awesome sets. Bond films could be good. I’ll be keeping an eye out now for sure. Lot of 50’s and 60’s in that lot. Aliens?
Love Queens Gambit! Great time period… I’ll have to check out the man from under thanks.
Months ago I was thinking to build old furniture from old movies, it’s great someone else thought about that too. Good luck with the project, that will be interesting.
Cool thanks!
Cool Idea you should have the buyers/winners build the project with you. I know you don't have time for that but would be awesome...🤘🤘🤘
That would be cool. Could happen we were talking about woodworking school the other day
@@JonPetersArtHome that would be great I'll be there for sure. I had mentioned that to you once before...🤘🤘🤘
i immediately thought of the movie "the Patriot" with mel gibson. a nice historical American piece of furniture, also jon was wondering if you have ever looked into making audio isolation platforms. seems like a very simple project for you and the margins would be good. if you know anything about audiophiles you could make some good money. just a thought
I saw the movie but don’t remember the desk. I’ll have to take another look… Thanks for the heads up!
what the heck is that pylwood in the forground with the four clamps on for?
Holding the cordless microphones
Love the Idea!
Thanks!
How about either a grandfather clock (you can decide how ornate) or something in the style of Sam Maloof?
Bill
Love Sam Maloofs work!
Poor guy in the middle was so left out. Lol.
North By Northwest, Hitchcock, Grant. The Prisoner tv show. Original Star Trek. Dr. No. To name some. Mad Men is a potentially fantastic source. Good stuff guys. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Great Ideas! Thanks!
I would love to see the ultimate/ideal/efficient, workbench you guys would build for yourself if you had to.
Great idea! I could use a good work bench 👍
A real challenge but super cool would be the presidents desk from National Treasure 2. But that’s asking a lot.
I’ll have to search that one thanks!
great ideas, liked the episode!
Awesome, thank you!
A modern whisky cabinet!
The Karl Farbman chest of drawers that Kramer had his Japanese guests sleeping in!
That would be a good one! 😂 … add a little sleeping space to the Airbnb idea too 😂😂
Nightmare Alley has some pretty great period sets, especially the psychiatrist's office. Personally, I'd like to see a record cabinet with some art deco style.
I’ll have to check that out I’m not familiar with the show… thanks for the heads up !
It's a Guillermo Del Toro movie that came out during covid. Streaming on prime I think. Really good noir, just rewatched it.@@JonPetersArtHome
french country style tv stand
A full wall mid-century media unit
As far as shows go, I’m currently watching “Loudermilk” on Netflix and it’s pretty hilarious. Kind of a cynical sense of humor. Also a big Seinfeld fan.
I’m in the middle of Loudermilk as well, hilarious! 😁👍🏻
Cool. Haven’t heard of Loudermilk I’m looking forward to catching it out!
Great idea! How about a child's toy chest? 👍👍🔨🔨
Good Idea! Thanks Steve!
Why not build a boat?!
It drives my wife crazy when we watch something and point out something in the background. I tell her I'm and woodworker and trained as a scientist so I observe things..........
How about free plans for the person who comes up with the project idea
Great Idea!
Murphy bed
of course.....the wardrobe from Narnia....
Good One!
