1:39 "renewed and refreshed in the lord jesus christ" LMAO
hilarious!
“So much that I do for myself is about relaxation.” YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! That is my entire life. Lol!
And you know I’m here for head wraps.
Yes. It IS growing, boo! It’s looking soooo cute. 😍😍
+SkinnyGirlFatHair HIIIII!! 🙋🏿
"DeBris!" I like watching your journey, very informing but minimalist. All sustenance no fluff.
Im slowly moving myself from thinking about locs to having locs. Over-prepare then wing it!
lol every time you say "in my heart of hearts" i lol 0:42
Your vlog quality is crazy. Your style definitely stands above a lot of other dreadtubers.
Thank you so much!
Dr Bronners comes in many different scents. I love the Almond.
this video was full of one liners and for that I am grateful
+Lavender Williams Was it though?
You are looking fabulous. Your locs are looking awesome.
I am sooo encouraged! Thank you for popping in.
Just swinging through quarterly to say “not much has changed” is still inspiring to us newbies.
I’m 5 months in this week. The front is FINALLY starting to bud. They read the “we loc’n” memo. 👍🏾
The back is full of restless teenagers who are all bored.
I’ve been tightening my locs yesterday and today so I’m up to date w maintenance. Prob won’t retighten until the new year. 🙌🏾
+xandria20 aye! I’m going to try to start doing a few more loc videos. More like discussions on topics and what not.
Gorgeous. Your hair has def grown. Looks really good! Thanks for video.
Your locs are gorgeously mesmerizing 😍
Your locs are doing great. I have never used Dr Bronners yet. Everyone seems to love it so may give it a try!
Hi Hallease! I 1st saw a video of u on UA-cam Creator's Academy yesterday and boom ur video was recommended today. I thought u are a beautiful inside and outward.🥰🥰🥰
I love her videos omg
I used Cherry Blossom 🌸 Dr Bonnets scent yesterday. My hair feels so soft & clean.
You might have to dilute.
If you use less products, you will not notice a smell.
I use Rosewater, Vitamin E oil & Distilled Water to moisturize my scalp when needed.
Aye your locs grew man. Damn I can't see the growth. Maybe I need to do a loc video myself. But I'm digging your loc review.
Skin looks amazing too I see you Hallease!
Lowkey some of that is Fenty
You are so cute!! Love your locs! New subbie!! ❤️
Your hair is so thick love it ♥
simply beautiful! your hair and your approach to taking care of it. i get frustrated with how my locs still want to marry but hearing you say that you don't have to do as much separating now has me hoping that in another 6 months i'll be at the same point.
A lot of it has to do with my very kinky texture. Good luck!
Can you do a video on things to definitely be aware of regarding locs in general for people like me thinking about locking my hair. Types of locs, difference between them, what to expect, etc. Thanks in advance 🤗
Your locs are so beautiful
Let me start off by saying thank you for being you. I watched at least 20+ of your videos. I am a new subscriber and very happy to have found your channel. I cut my beautiful thick semi free form locs 6 days ago for spiritual purposes. My hair is about 2-3 inches long. I am definitely meant to have locs. So soon when my hair grows out more I will be starting my 2nd journey. All of your videos I've watch answered 99.9999999% of my questions. Thank you soooo much. Btw you and your locs are so gorgeous.
Hello and welcome!
Hallease 💜
I am definitely with you on locs allowing me to view shampooing as self care. That wasn't the case for me before; i didn't look forward to shampooing and detangling and all the nonsense
#washday was the worst
I love your locs and I was so excited for this update. What section of your hair loc’d first?
+lightningbolt478 the back definitely
your hair is beautiful
You shoule do a vid about your nose piercing and how you care for it
You have a great set of locs! Did you dilute the Dr.Bronners because I find it hard to rinse out at times. Also, do you ever or have you ever conditioned your locs? I'm currently at 2 months without a retwist and I'm enjoying it, I love how full our roots can get! Thanks for the video it was great! Inspired me to keep pushing through this journey💪Grace&Peace 💛
Definitely dilute it. I put 2oz in a 6oz applicator bottle and fill the rest with water. I've never used traditional conditioner on my locs, I just follow up with the hair rinse which conditions it really well.
I dilute Dr B’s soap
Your hair looks great, it's got the kind of sheen that looks natural and not coated. Your skin looks great too, it's really clear. What do you use on it?
+Opulence Reloaded I have a video called “A tale of two skin care regimens” You can see everything I (and my mom) use
Renewed and refreshed in the Lord Jesus Christ!!!
Dr bronners rose is really good too I go back and forth with rose tea tree and peppermint dr bronners
Marlaina LuvsLocs me too! I love them both
+Marlaina LuvsLocs maybe I’ll buy a small bottle of the rose and try it out
Hallease trust me you will love it
I haveta sub ya. ur🔒's r the 💣
Your locs are amazing. They kinda look like mine lol
Hi Hallease, I started using the Alikay Natural leave in for my last retwist/refresh. Have you experienced build up with it or is that reduced since you wash regularly and dilute the product?
+Sharifa Taylor I haven’t experienced any build up with the product, but yes I dilute it quite a bit and I wash twice a week
Try replacing the distilled water with rose water. I think you may like it :). I usually use half rose water and half vitamin E oil.
Your locs make me want to re-loc lol
You said you're in Texas, may I ask where?
San Antonio
Have u ever gotten a retwist? And how did u start.
If you watch my locs playlist I interlocked to maintain my hair for roughly the first 8 months going longer and longer between until I finally just stopped doing it once I felt like they were formed enough
💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
I THINK, I MIGHT, KINDA, MAYBE, STILL THINKING, SORT OF WANT DREADLOCKS. MY HAIR IS NATURAL BUT I’M ABOUT TO GIVE UP ON HER. 😩
Beautiful...May I ask how often you retwist?
+Twana Murchison I don’t
Great, I am only a month into my journey and I have decided to semi- freeform but I was confused about how often I need to retwist...but your saying there is no need to retwist, just separate...
Yep.
