    "DeBris!" I like watching your journey, very informing but minimalist. All sustenance no fluff.
    Im slowly moving myself from thinking about locs to having locs. Over-prepare then wing it!

    You are looking fabulous. Your locs are looking awesome.
    I am sooo encouraged! Thank you for popping in.
    Just swinging through quarterly to say “not much has changed” is still inspiring to us newbies.
    I’m 5 months in this week. The front is FINALLY starting to bud. They read the “we loc’n” memo. 👍🏾
    The back is full of restless teenagers who are all bored.
    I’ve been tightening my locs yesterday and today so I’m up to date w maintenance. Prob won’t retighten until the new year. 🙌🏾

    I used Cherry Blossom 🌸 Dr Bonnets scent yesterday. My hair feels so soft & clean.
    You might have to dilute.
    If you use less products, you will not notice a smell.
    I use Rosewater, Vitamin E oil & Distilled Water to moisturize my scalp when needed.

    simply beautiful! your hair and your approach to taking care of it. i get frustrated with how my locs still want to marry but hearing you say that you don't have to do as much separating now has me hoping that in another 6 months i'll be at the same point.

    Let me start off by saying thank you for being you. I watched at least 20+ of your videos. I am a new subscriber and very happy to have found your channel. I cut my beautiful thick semi free form locs 6 days ago for spiritual purposes. My hair is about 2-3 inches long. I am definitely meant to have locs. So soon when my hair grows out more I will be starting my 2nd journey. All of your videos I've watch answered 99.9999999% of my questions. Thank you soooo much. Btw you and your locs are so gorgeous.

    I am definitely with you on locs allowing me to view shampooing as self care. That wasn't the case for me before; i didn't look forward to shampooing and detangling and all the nonsense

    You have a great set of locs! Did you dilute the Dr.Bronners because I find it hard to rinse out at times. Also, do you ever or have you ever conditioned your locs? I'm currently at 2 months without a retwist and I'm enjoying it, I love how full our roots can get! Thanks for the video it was great! Inspired me to keep pushing through this journey💪Grace&Peace 💛

    • @hallease
      @hallease  6 років тому

      Definitely dilute it. I put 2oz in a 6oz applicator bottle and fill the rest with water. I've never used traditional conditioner on my locs, I just follow up with the hair rinse which conditions it really well.

    Hi Hallease, I started using the Alikay Natural leave in for my last retwist/refresh. Have you experienced build up with it or is that reduced since you wash regularly and dilute the product?

    • @hallease
      @hallease  6 років тому +1

      +Sharifa Taylor I haven’t experienced any build up with the product, but yes I dilute it quite a bit and I wash twice a week

    Try replacing the distilled water with rose water. I think you may like it :). I usually use half rose water and half vitamin E oil.

      Great, I am only a month into my journey and I have decided to semi- freeform but I was confused about how often I need to retwist...but your saying there is no need to retwist, just separate...
