Almost painful to watch this. We were all so young in those days with our lives before us and now we are nearing the end of th line but the music still endures as it always has over 50 years. The Moodies have left a magnificent legacy.

Here I am, 73 years old, and still listening to this great band just like I did in college...in 1973!
No other band or group of musicians comes close.
As a grandfather, "To our children's children's children" rings more true than ever.

One night when I was around 16 I guess, (too many years ago to remember) we off-roaded out to a place called Palm Canyon, which is a line of palm trees ascending up a mountainside in the middle of the Arizona desert. (Palms aren't natural to the area, migrating birds dropped the seeds long time ago) We had some herb, some beer and sleeping bags, and we left the truck doors open and popped in a Moody Blues 8 track (remember those?) and then climbed up the ravine to a point where we could see the lights of Yuma about 70 miles away. It was a magical desert night. So clear you could reach up and grab a star from the sky. Nothing like the Moodies on a cool, starry night with your friends and a sweet buzz on. Some of you know what I mean. Fond memories. :-)

In 1969 my brother sat me down in my living room with some herb, made me put on my headphones, turned out the lights, then played "In Search of the Lost Chord". What a rush. I guess I went to half a dozen Moodies concerts. And just a few years ago saw Justin spectacularly live at a very small venue. (I took my brother)

They wrote entire albums in weeks and layed down an album in 6 weeks to 3months. Some bands took 2 years . These guys did 7 ckassic albums from 1967-1972. All great albums. Several songs charting more than once. I seen them 4 times since red rocks. Form a university auditorium (Northrup) to outside next to Mall of America ,about 30k. Everything In perfect harmony except the first 2 songs, don't see them in Target center. Had to re EQ for 20,000 bodies. What a band.

It's no wonder they had to write "just a Singer in a Rock and Roll Band" after this (and many other) songs. They transcend spiritualism and their fans longed for their wisdon & knowledge. Me included. Nobody else has ever done it as well. Maybe they do know things we don't. Seekers, all of us. Love everybody, and make them your friend

These five man were like the five fingers on God's right hand "and he saw magnificent perfection" so He created the Moody Blues. Just be thankfull that you can enjoy music like this and enjoy true genius of what they did. "So love everybody and make them your friend" if only the world would have listened. Well if this is a studio soundtrack then I prefer to see them in the studio recording it. I want to see and understand the origin of all the rich sounds real-time while it’s originally being recorded. Maybe that’s not possible because there are multiple soundtracks that are combined to produce the finished product. If something like that is the case then a ‘live performance’ isn’t really life and the audience deserves to be aware of that …and maybe they are, I don’t know what is conveyed to them at a concert (even though I’ve seen them a few times in concert halls).

They are so original. They will never be emulated. They are The Moody Blues.
And this is one of their best.

Born in 64. When I was a kid i used to think the Moody Blues where a spaceship just passing by. Their music seemed way beyond anything of this world. To Childrens Childrens Children especialy. I still easy think they're not of this world. My favorite group by far.

@Msdistarr A beautiful song... I've always loved the words and the music. This song is particularly beautiful. The rhyme and reason are remarkable. Of course, a group like the MB's would never fly today. Too sensible, too reasonable in lyric and content. Not nasty or loud enough to catch the attention of today's youth. Too bad. We loved them then and we love them now. Thank you MB's for your great music and lyrics. Lamar

I wish I could have been alive at this time and seen them. I saw them last Friday and it was amazing. I wish I could have seen them when Thomas and Pinder were still in/touring. Out of any band, dead or alive, to see live, I would choose them. I would give almost anything to have been at this show.
