Britain is a nation of dog lovers, but what happens when domestic bliss turns to chaos? Luckily, there's someone you can call. Master dog trainer, Graeme Hall is on a mission to restore harmony across the country. He has built his reputation on finding quick but long-lasting fixes to almost any unwanted dog behaviour, helping to train over 5000 canines (and 1 fox!) and their owners. His mantra is clear: "Any Dog, Any Age, Any Problem."
I’ve never seen a golden with tear stained eyes.
Maybe it's either her age (yes, it's confirmed she was a senior dog) or something else.
My girl lived to the grand old age of 15, and didn't have tear staines.. poor baby needs a vet
Nor have I! I remove All "Sleep Dust "from my 3 Guys Every morning! It's so easy & Essential to help them stay healthy.
To be fair? I've always had shih tzu's - two golden ones and one dark brown, and they don't either... but you wouldn't see the staining if they did! So you wouldn't notice it on a GR even if they were tearing. Also, GR's don't typically have eyes that water - shih tzu's do, which is one reason why, if you have the choice, getting a shih tzu with some colour on the face. Not a reason to reject a dog, but why do extra work if you don't have to? My heart goes out to Maltese owners!

Ruby’s gait looks like she’s in pain.
Her weight will not be helping her especially if she has arthritis. My 12.5 year old golden had bad arthritis in her wrists so she walks very slow on walks
I agree, needs an animal chiro to look at her
She's fat, but otherwise seems perfect. I've had four Goldens. She waddles right now.

When i got my first dog she was 10 pound over weight and everyone asked me if she was a old dog. Then she lost the 10 pounds and everyone asked if she was a puppy. She lived a long and happy life…

The Golden Retriever seems to have a problem with the drainage of tear fluid. The tear fluid discolours the coat, but can also cause eczema. I would take him to the vet. There can be various causes for that. Clogged eye drains, ingrown eyelashes or allergies. Mostly is this clogged drainage. Sometimes the vet washes it out. That's no problem. And while you're at it, get some eye wipes for dogs (not for humans!) and carefully wipe off the salty fluid so that the animal doesn't get any more problems.This takes the stress from the dog's skin.
I once saw a bumper sticker that summed it up. It said: Schnauzers - Born to Bark.

I love Schnauzers! I cannot think of three Schnauzer minds all together, tearing up together, being Schnauzers together.
I think the floor is too slippery for aging dog like Ruby. She is not a diva, just an aging dog who wants comfort and assurance. With that aside, she has lovely pwarents.
I agree, and when she was shown walking from behind, her rear legs looked weak. Thankfully she's lost weight, which will take a lot of pressure off her rear legs.

The retriever is definitely not right, poor thing! Those runny eyes too and over weight. Looks twice her age, has she been health checked?

The Golden Retriever is no diva, she is shouting "I AM IN PAIN!" Very very hard to watch her being dragged around against her will. The carpet bits are a good idea, but please go to the vet and physio with her! Same with the slippery floors. How would you feel if you have sincere joint pain already and then they ask you to go ice skating!?
Take Ruby to the vet. She looks sick.

Slippery Floors are VERY bad for dogs hips and elbows. Please concider using carpets or atleast yoga mats for them.

I hope to see the episode of the mischievous screaming Staffy (that episode with one of the owners about to pass away). That was a bittersweet and warming episode and not the owners' or the dog's total fault; one of my favorite episodes.❤

I am a dog groomer and tears are a chemical based problem. . Sometimes its allergies and sometimes the wrong food or lack of vitamins but not an emotional thing. . . I dont see arthritis but im not a vet. . .

Ruby is clearly a case for the vet and a diet. The dog probably has various arthroses depending on his age and also the extra kilos, which are not beneficial. Poor dog!

I saw her trotting along pretty good and the dog can navigate over furniture pretty good even in such a shockingly bad condition.
If anything the excess weight along with donwright doting are the main problems.

Johanna, I just wanted to write the same! No dog is 'just stubborn'. And no, they don't all want to rule the world. They do have reasons for their behaviour! And considering her weight and not wanting to walk on certain floors just screeeeams "pain!".
I thought the same 🤔. But there are also dogs which such a behavior, because they learned to say where to go without any healthy problems.

they need to get those schnauzers tired, they need physical and mental challenges every single day they are working line dogs.
There is something wrong with that golden besides being overweight. She looks like she has arthritis also. What are they feeding her? It is amazing how little sense people exhibit when trying to manage their dogs.
Poor Ruby, do they want to kill her? Why would you let your dog be so overweight?! Ok, labs and retrievers love food, but it's your responsibility keep them in good shape. She doesn't make it till 10 this way.
Ruby is obviously afraid of slipping on the floors, she needs rugs left down permanently for some stability and traction. She looks like she needs help from a vet.
There's a lot of "no" was told "no" means nothing to the dog and should say what you want. Like "come" or "let's go". ??? 🤷 Graham gets the dogs trained tho, by the looks

Oh Ruby, Bless Her. She's rather elderly AND overweight! I know!! Yes, exercise would help her lose weight, as would No treats! Those laminate floors are way too slippery for this Girl. Perhaps she HAS previously SLIPPED on it? Poor big Love needs Veterinary Help.
Please take your dog to a vet for a comprehensive health exam and assessment ASAP.
And regarding the Chihuahua - can we please also get the message across that some dongs just don't want to be touched all the time by random strangers!? She is small and scared, don't let anyone who comes along grab her from above! The dog area is a good idea :)

All I know is that any dog that can't walk on floors is not a "bad dog" as this is titled..It takes a compassionate human being to notice that. And what is wrong with that dogs diet ?? !! There are stains on yhe eyes.
More than likely the poor baby is being fed food that he's allergic to certain foods. Whey. Wheat, red meat, Seriously, those people should buy a brain before they bought a dog 🤨🤨🤨
When my dog stopped in middle of walking... she was in pain so I would pick her up.

Sorry Guys, I forgot.. STOP using that extending lead. Use a Normal one AND STOP leaving her on the other side of roads. The " Traditional " type lead WILL be far better & Easier to use WITH Ruby.
Look at her tears! Ruby is obviously is in some kind of discomfort...with her overweight condition she could have some inflammation anywhere, even in her feet, and that makes it painful to walk...that's a possible reason for her fear when she's outside near the road. I hope that you will consider giving her medicine for inflammation and see if this improves her condition. Good luck with your precious Ruby 💖
I love Schnauzers, however, they are smart, bossy, have very high self-esteem and need to be taken down a notch.

I would walk the 2 Schnauzers who can behave at the same time, and walk Alvin by himself until he's fully trained.
I think Ruby may have pulled a muscle when she slipped on the floor. She looks as if she is in pain. Please please get her to a vet.

Ruby has hip pain . Needs a full vet check . Why force the issue . She’s probably slipped on the bare floor and knows to avoid it . We had that happen with our little one who strained her back legs:hip running on tiles . U don’t need to be a wizard to see the signs . Watch your dog , listen to what it’s telling u and use your common sense for goodness sake . She doesn’t hate hard floors , she hates slippery floors .
Ruby’s owners are awful, over feeding a dog is damn right cruel! Allowing them to get to that state is all on the owners! And the use of the word fur baby, she’s a dog and she’s got needs as a dog!
Now they have her walking more she should be able to get her walking more, she should lose weight

Here in the UK Schnauzers àre classed as 'Utility' dogs (whatever that means!) In the US, the AKC has designated them 'terriers'. Bred to be ratters to protect the grain on farms and trains across Germany, they certainly are terrier-like - and I have two! ☺️
The Golden retriever is stubborn It jumped on the couch fine and walked fine the dog will lose weight once it gets walking

I think Ruby the Golden Retriever might need regular trims to keep her grinch feet free from extra fluff that might be causing her to slip. If her feet are properly groomed, she’ll have better grip and feel more confident. I hugely disagree that she felt ‘confident’ walking across the slippery floor - she was performing as Goldens do for their humans. She wasn’t happy about doing it. And I’d do that training a LOT slower over a few days, so that she has time to adjust. Victoria Stillwell had a similar case and she was a lot more patient with the dog and made sure the dog ACTUALLY felt comfortable.
I’m very hypermobile (double jointed) I hate hard floors with socks, it’s awful on my joints. My feet, ankles and knees are the neediest joints, so it’s not fun. It’s painful so I can see where this fog is coming from with the floors, it’s making me cringe watching. Ruby is it’s name, they just said it

People think when they see a dog humping a leg that it means something sexual, why couldn’t it mean that it’s itchy and that is the only way to scratch it?
ruby needs to see a vet she has eye issues, dark weeping under the eyes like that is sign of infection, or ingrowing hair into the eye. She also looks like she has some form of IU infection, she also needs a controlled diet. Her feet and nails checking.
A lot of people don't know how to look after a dog, so a lot of people shouldn't even be allowed to have them. There should be tests before people can have dogs
i say yes to obligatory training courses! i would personally love those and feel more confident before getting a dog as well

I don't like the title. Hard as it might be to hear, 99% of the 'badness' is lack on the part of the human.
Those extendable leashes are terrible and should be banned. The length that Ruby's leash goes to is ridiculous - the width of a road! Regardless of anything else going on, those leashes are dangerous.

@@dshe8637I guess this has come about because of our climate in the UK; you either have to ask owners to sit outside (thereby losing your customers!) or you designate a dog-friendly area. As dog-owners we can't always leave our two at home, and we don't expect it everywhere ☺️
